Connect a creative zen to my new car ste

Hi
I have recently purchased a new Lexus IS 250 and I want to get a jack plug to connect my creative zen Micro it has a port built in the car to connect it to but I don't know what I need or where I can get one from can anyone help

As far as I can tell it comes with an Aux jack set up as standard, in which case you'll just need a cable to connect directly:

• How can I connect my Creative mp3 Player and my car ste

I need to connect my Creative mp3 Player and my car stereo (Peugeot 407 standard car stareo). It haven't cassette player or an "AUX IN" hole. Any Idea?

Unfortunately (for us consumers) there are few options.
) Use an FM transmitter which does not work in your area.
2) There was a post in this forum where the person had a device installed that would switch from the car antenna to an FM transmitter. So effecti'vely, the FM transmitter is spliced right into the antenna line into your car stereo. The theory is that it's either using the car antenna or your MP3 player, but never both. There are no competing FM stations. The use also said this cost them $200 .... which makes option 3 a better deal considering FM will decrease the fidelity of a MP3 player.
3) Buy a car stereo with an input jack .. as SSR as sited.
4) You can buy a cassette adapter ... if your current car stereo has a circa 20th century cassette player.
5) Start a grass roots effort to lobby car manufacturers to put in a input jack in the car stereos. The American companies might be softened after this SUV bust.
If you pick #5, I'm available to stamp and stuff envelopes ......

• Transfering songs from Creative Zen MicroPhoto to new IPOD Nano 2nd gen

I hope someone can help me! Have spoken to Apple in the UK and they couldn't help me out, but I hope someone here can! I have two computers. One new macbook and an old PC desktop(been upgraded to windows xp service pack2). My question is I want to transfer all the songs off my Creative Zen to save on my mac hard drive (most are in mp3 format, only a few are wma), so I can then transfer a few to my 2nd gen IPOD Nano. How can I do this? I have tried plugging my creative zen into the usb port of the MAC via a usb lead, but it doesn't seem to register its there, so there's no chance of me downloading the songs directly onto the hard drive of the mac. Someone suggested connecting an ethernet lead from my PC (with the Creative in the usb port) to my mac, however my old pc doesn't have an ethernet port. It only has two usb ports.
There must be a straightforward way of transfering the music - otherwise I'll have lost all of my music that I paid for which doesn't seem right.

you could plug it into your windows machine and copy and paste all of the mp3's and wma's to a CD/DVD depending on what your mac has. Then simply drag and drop the files from the dis to the macs music directory.
does this help
(i ain't very good with macs so i called the music directory the place where music is stored, known as My Music in Windows)
hope that this helps you sort your problem.

• Power cord for connecting to MP3 outlet in a new car

Where can I purchase a cord of some kind that will connect my iPod Nano to the MP3 outlet provided in a new car I'm purchasing? I saw nothing like this in the Accessories listed on apple.com for iPods. Thanks for your help.

Is it just a standard headphone type jack on the front of the unit? If so, just go to Radio Shack and get a 1/8 to 1/8 stereo patch cord. They have expensive ($12) ones up in the front of the store, but if you don't need a lot of length, they have a smaller white one they keep in the back of the store on the racks that I is a foot long I believe and sells for only a few dollars.

• Connecting a Creative Zen to MBP

When I connect my Creative MP3 player to my MBP nothing happens, however when I look in the System Profiler it shows up under the USB devices. How to I transfer files to it? It seems there is no OS X software on Creative's website to do this. Thanks

Run /Applications/Utilities/Disc Utility and see if it appears? Does the 'Mount' button light up or not?
It's probably formatted for PC's with Creative's version of the iTunes software on it I guess ? If you wipe the drive by Formatting you could then write files to it, but you'd have no software on there to play them with ...
i.e. bottom line is it's not compatible with iTunes/Mac OS if there's nothing on their web site to support this and you can't mount the drive.
Addendum:
Check this out http://www.wentnet.com/projects/xnjb/
"XNJB is a Cocoa graphical user interface for Mac OS X for the Creative Nomad range of portable MP3 players and newer MTP players."

• Hooking my Zen up to a car ste

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help me? I have just purchased my first MP3 plaayer, a Zen Vision M 60gig, I love it, can't believe how easy it is to operate. The question I have is- Some of the new model cars here in Australia are coming out with an MP3 input jack. Can a Zen Vision be plugged into one of these and how?, I am buying a new work vehicle shortly and if my Zen can be plugged into one of these line in jacks then it will be a deciding factor on the vehicle that I get. If it is able to be done and anyone who reads this has done it, can you let me know how it sounds. Thank You very much, Cheers......Dave!!

I've just upgraded from a Belkin TuneCast II FM transmitter to a new car deck with an for my Zen Micro.
What a difference! The sound is so much better- I'm hearing bass details that I'd never heard over the FM transmitter- it sounds like I've upgraded my speakers!
All I needed was a double male stereo Walkman-style cord.
I sometimes hook it up to my Zen Wired Remote so I can keep the controls handy when I'm driving.

• Connect my Creative Zen V Plus to my Panasonic Stereo SC-P

Indeed... when I connect my Zen to the USB port of my new Panasonic stereo, it doesn't work. A message "UNSUPPORT" appears on the stereo.
I have tried on others stereo at the shop and the same thing happens. At the shop, they told me it comes from my Zen, which wouldn't be updated.
So I've just downloaded firmware upgrade, and the problem?is still here.
Can?someone help me ?
Thank you in advance.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Zen and Zen V+ (maybe more, I only have these two) are not USB compliant memory devices. You must have Creative drivers loaded onto your reading device (meaning it will only work with computers that can have drivers loaded into them such as a PC or Mac). Welcome to the 990's (opinion).
About all you can do is plug the headphone output of the Zen to the audio input of your stereo (hopefully it has one). Too bad because over the last few years, most of the MP3 players out on the market (even the cheapest ones) act as a USB compliant memory device That way, they don't have to distribute a driver disk. You would have thought these would be the same, but maybe with further updateds, that will happen.

• Develop software for connecting to creative zen touch and other devices not recognized by wind

hi there,
as a programmer i wonder, is it possible to obtain information of how to connect to usb-connected creative device (which is not recognized automatically by windows, as the zen touch) and how to communicate with it's is there any documentation about that available to "non-creative" ;-) developers?
the idea is to create a plugin (e.g. for musikcube) that enables the programm to access the files on the device.
i know there are third party companies that do provide software for connecting to e.g. zen touch, but i do not think that they have figured out every little bit by themselves, have they?
greetings and thanks a lot
asdf

Try this:
Download <a href='http://www.delldjsite.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=444' target=_blank>this file. Extract it to whatever folder you like. Inside that folder run the file fixup.cmd. A DOS window will open up and start display messages on what its doing, when its done it will instruct you to remove the device from Device Manager and reconnect it.
Try this and see if it works.

• Error connecting my Creative Zen Mosaic to my computer

When I try to connect my Zen Mosaic to my computer and install the hardware, I get this error: "Cannot Install this Hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware: MTP Device An error occurred during the installation of the device. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
I have tried changing USB ports.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the device.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Creative Centrale software.
I am running Windows XP with the Service Pack 3.
I do have Windows Media Player .
?I don't know what else to do. I don't have another computer to try it with at the moment.

:? I listed the error I get above. This is the error I get when I try to install the drivers through device manager and/or the hardware wizard. I can't find any other information aside from this. If there's another place to look, please let me know.
This is the error:
"Cannot Install this Hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware: MTP Device An error occurred during the installation of the device. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
I did try formatting the device (although there is nothing on it yet because I haven't been able to get it to connect) I also rebooted it. I am hesitant to remove the firmware since I can't get it to connect to the computer. I'm not sure if I would be able to put the firmware on it again if my computer won't recognize it. And I'm not sure if the problem is my PC or the player. If it's my PC, I'd really be out of luck then!

• TV Connectivity for Creative Zen Vision M 6

Hi all,?I'm trying to buy a new mp3 player, with some requisites. I'll use the player at home linked with my receiver as a kind of media center. I know that there's a dock station for the Zen Vision M 60GB. I saw also that there's a remote control (wired and another wireless remote I200). Is it possible to combine the dock and these remote controls to control Zen by the TV monitor? Could I see, for instance, the playlists on the tv monitor, or do I have to first choose the song or playlist in the Zen?If not, is there another company that makes something like that?I saw that the Ipod has something like that, because I have?a Denon receiver and Denon has a dock that allows al Ipod to be controlled in the tv monitor and the receiver remote control. Thanks a lot!!?RegardsAlexandre

• Help!! Cannot connect my creative zen to compu

Hi
Cannot seem to connect my MP3 player to the computer I have downloaded the cd and rebooted but when I connect the zen to the computer by the lead it doesn't do anything. The background lights up but it says not connected on the computer. Is the player supposed to be turned on or off when connected?
Please help me I feel so dense!!!

It should turn on automatically (so yes, it will be on). What happens when you turn the player on normally? Does it boot into the menu?
Is the player recognised at all on the PC, even as an Unknown Device?

• Creative zen plus works on one computer but it will not connect to my lap

I am trying to connect my creative zen plus to my laptop. I have been using it on my desktop. When I plus it in, I click open songs/files in folder, and it is as simple is that (I drag my songs into and out of my MP3 player).
I just tried plugging it into my laptop, and nothign happened. I then installed the software. Now, when I plug it into the laptop, I get a "found new hardware" message, but I cannot open up the folder to view the files like I do on my desktop. When I click the zen organizer, it says "device not found." Is there something that I need to install or update? I am sure that there is a way for me to be able to use this on both computers. Thanks for the help!

You need to install the software on the laptop before plugging the player in. Uninstall it then load it up again. If that doesn't work, this is the advice I got and it worked first time out:
. Please connect the player to another USB port. Use the ones on the
back of the computer. Remove all other USB devices. If you have another
computer, please try to test the player on that too.
2. Ensure that you are logged in as Administrator or have Administrator
rights assigned to you on the computer.
3. Check Device Manager and see if the player is detected.
a. Click Start and Control Panel (or Settings then Control Panel)
b. If the Control Panel is being displayed in the Category View (the
option Switch to Classic View should appear in the left pane), click
Performance and Maintenance and System. If the Control Panel is being
displayed in the Classic View (the option Switch to Category View should
appear in the left pane), double-click System
c. Select Hardware and then Device Manager.
Your player should be listed under Windows Portable Devices. Please
check if the computer sees it as a MTP Device.
If there is an error or a yellow exclamation mark next to the device,
right click the player listing and select Update driver.
Alternati'vely, you can uninstall the device, and reinstall it. Highlight
the MTP player listing, and press the Delete key on your keyboard, which
will uninstall the MTP device; click Actions ,and then click Scan for
hardware changes. Windows will install the necessary drivers.
That worked fine for me.

• Connecting Creative Zen Touch to Stereo (Bose Lifestyle Syst

Hi Folks,?A bit of a naf question, I want to connect my Creative Zen Touch to a Bose Life Style System, To provide the best quality Audio connection can you advise what is the best cable for me to use. On a seperate note has anyone any comments on the Cambridge SoundWorks Dock Station, I would like something to connect the Zen Touch to for the kitchen, the cambridge sounddock id a bit of an ugly beast. If you have RCA inputs on your stereo, just buy a 3.5mm to 2 RCA cable and connect it that way. If not, buy an FM transmitter, connect it to the headphone jack on your Zen Touch, set it to a channel and then tune into that channel on the stereo's radio.
Hope that hel

You can buy it at any RadioShack (in America) and in Canada I would assume FutureShop would have it as well as any local electronics store.
