When I connect my Ipad mini to my camera via lightning to usb camera adapter all i get is a message "The attached accessory uses too much power."Any solutions

It depends on the camera, but some have a special mode for offloading photos but not trying to charge the camera through the USB port. For others, you may have to pull out the SD card (if that's what it uses) and use the Lightning to SD card reader instead.
Maybe if you told us what camera you are connecting, somebody here with the same model can give you more specific information.

  • Has anyone successfully connected an AEBS to the new Panasonic TVs with built-in WiFi?  If so, please describe the requirements and process.  Thanks.

Has anyone successfully connected an AEBS to the new Panasonic TVs with built-in WiFi?  If so, please describe the requirements and process.  (TV subscription is through DirecTV and ISP is TWC.)  Thanks.

If you wish to use the cellular capabilities of a device, you will need a SIM (unless the carrier uses CDMA which doesn't use SIMs) and you will have to pay a cell carrier. No cell company provides service for free. The only way you will get free Internet is via WiFi to a free and open WiFi access point, as sometimes is offered in public buildings or by some businesses.

  • How do I connect Apple TV2 to an older TV?

    Hi Apple Community
I just bought 2 Apple TV2s, one for my family room and one for my bedroom. My family room TV is a late generation Sony WEGA (Trinitron/CRT) with a YPbPr (RGB RCA) port in the back of it. I knew that AppleTV2 did not have a component video connection, so I bought a cheap HDMI to component signal converter to connect to the YPbPr port.
Well, when i connected everything up all I get are crazy lines on the screen (clearly there is a signal translation issue). In theory everything should have worked. I am sure this issue has come up for others in the community - is there an HDMI converter box that you would recommend that will work in this situation? I looked online and there seem to be half a dozen candidates, but I'd like to get an opinion from this forum. Any thoughts?
    Dude

I'm not really willing to recommend any converters since most of them will run into an issue with HDCP which is included in iTunes content purchased and rented from the iTMS since component doesn't support HDCP. Any conversion device that circumvents such copy protection cannot be discussed in these forums under it's terms of Use.
I have one thought about the converter you have purchased, check that your TV is YPbPr and not YCbCr.

  • Problem connecting Apple TV2 to projector when passing through Sony Sound Bar

I'm having problems getting my Apple TV2 to work now that I'm passing it through my new Sony HT-CT150 Sound Bar to my Epson Megaplex Projector MG-850 (720p) Projector. I keep getting a "Not Supported" error on my projector - as opposed to a "No Signal" error which is what happens if I was to unplug the Apple TV.
My HDMI cables are all new and latest specs. I can connect the Apple TV directly to projector with either cable and it works fine. I have a 6 ft HDMI connecting the Apple TV to one of the Sony Sound Bar's 3 HDMI inputs and then a 40 ft. HDMI running from the sound bar's HDMI out to the projector's single HDMI input. Oddly, if I reverse the cables, it seems to work. Same two cables - just switching which one is connected to the Apple TV and which is connected to the projector. (I need the length to get to where my projector is positioned. Though I might be able to get by with a 30 ft. cable if length might be the issue.)
Anyway I think it must have something to do with the HDMI handshake or the lenth of the cables but don't know enough about it and have no idea why switching which cable comes first would fix the problem.

Ok,  I will ask the question in another way... My apple tv has one hdmi, and it goes to my hd projecter.. But projecter has no speakers, and as a result I've no sound at the moment. I am looking for a clear direction to go in, to solve lack the of any sound.. My only option seems to be, using the optical out from the apple tv.. I don't have  any equipment with this conecter. And I've never used optical before..   If i buy an, optical to twin phono converter and then I can plug into a large powered speaker I've got in my living room. And I will have big sound easily..?? Do I have any other reasonable options for optical enabled speakers, or AirPlay speakers or something simple I'm not aware of that will give me sound easily.. I don't want a messy 5:1 system, my house is very tidy, and I want to keep it that way. .  Only having this optical out is frustrating, and I need to get my head round the options I have.   Anyone understand from experience how to use the optical apple tv out.  Also, not  using anything but apple tv, no dvds, or tv , just apple tv and my ipad.. Is very quiet in my home right now though.  Ric

  • Connecting Apple TV to Livebox network

I'm trying to connect Apple TV to and Orange Livebox wireless router. It sees the router , I enter the WEP key but it can't log onto the network. I'd really appreciate any tips on getting this sorted.

Hello, What you need to do is go on your college's webpage and register your device using the Apple Tv's wireless ID (looks something like 69:f9:3c:6d:cb:00). Once you do that you can by-pass the webpage login, connect to the school's wifi, and you're good to go. I just did it myself.

  • How to connect apple tv2 to receiver

Apple tv is connected to tv via hdmi - working perfectly. But i would like to connect apple tv to my receiver as well - for surround sound on movies and for streaming audio from the computer.
My receiver has 3 optical ports in addition to the DVD coax ( CD, CDR and TV) which one do i use to connect from apple tv  - none seem to work.
Apple TV set to dolby output.
receiver digital in is turned on
    No sound from the receiver
    Help!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You need to use one of the optical ports.
Are you sure they are optical ports.
Are you sure you are matching the input to the output correctly on the receiver.
Have you tried adjusting the audio out and Dolby digital settings on the Apple TV.

  • How to connect Apple TV to wireless network needing two passwords?

The device will connect initially just fine, and I type in the first password and it connects. The issue with the network is that after typing in the initial password you need to open a web browser to type in a second password, kind of like some hotels require you to do. I read somewhere that you can call the internet provider and have them add your MAC/wifi address for your Apple TV straight into the network for connection, so my apartment manager called the internet provider to do so, but claims they won't do such a thing.
Anyone have a different solution? Connection through a computer or external device? I don't have a clue what else could be possible since my computer/phone can see my Apple TV but the Apple TV can't see other devices because it's not actually connected to the internet. I'm out of options!
Help is much appreciated, thank you!!!

it take a bit of skills and knowledge to setup
so read up on it and give it a go
    or give up
or ask somebody you know who got some skills to show you

  • I am having difficulty connecting apple tv to our network via ethernet cable.

I am trying to connect to an apple tv on our office network. It seems to pick up the network configuration but doesnt connect when I turn on home sharing. We have a proxy server for connections to the internet so I dont know whether this is the show stopper or something else like incorrect setting of date and time.  I thought I could set up and use the apple tv without a connection to the internet. Any advice would be appreciated. If an internet connection is absolutely necessary may be I could set up an Airport that talks to our proxy server.

COMPUTERS  SETTINGS means AppleTV is not accessing the Internet network.
By "changing the lead" I assume you mean you've made certain you are using a proven / known working Ethernet cable and you've also attempted, unsucessfully, to connect via WiFi ?
If those things are true it sounds like you need to consult the school network administrator for onsite assistance.
I ran into this problem once but did not have time to work through it. I will duplicate portions of your problem today to see if I can better resolve your question

  • HT1595 Help w/Apple TV2 and home network--going crazy!

This is maddening.  i have Apple TV 2nd Gen and it CONSTANTLY does this:  my network appears, shows strong signal, but it is not connected to internet.  OVER and OVER again.  Please help!
Other facts--we have a Bose Surround Sound system that has all compenents plugged into it.  I can see my network when I hit network, but if I go to configure WiFi, it has to search, then shows mine (sometimes) and I have to select it, type in u/n and password, and then it says "cannot connect to server".  meanwhile, my macbook, ipad, pc, etc are all happily connected to my WiFi.  And again, back to network and it shows my home net with strong signal.  This is the most irritating, irrational maddening process and I can't seem to figure it out!!!!  Can't see movies, can't test network because can't connect to iTunes, can't even see my home sharing to show pictures from my macbook.  ARGH.
I have tried restarting my Apple TV, restarting my wireless router, typing in my credentials, trying to run test network (since it shows it's connected but isn't), all to no avail.  My partner wants me to pitch it out the window.  I want to love it but it's making me crazy.
    Can anyone help me??

Follow up:  It appears to have been caused by the Bose system.  We have multiple areas that can be controlled by the Bose console.  Playing another area (outdoor speakers) via one source (satellite) was interfering with playing the Apple TV in the den on the television.  Apparently.

  • Connecting apple tv2 to a projector, but need to use optical from apple tv to connect to something, to get sound.. What do I buy

Ive got an apple tv, and a new hd projecter. I've now got a huge lovely picture on the wall, but I've zero sound.... The projector has no output for sound, and is conected by hdmi...which leaves me with one option. Using the optical out from apple tv, now i have no idea.  Will this optical output work when hdmi is sending sound to projector ?  What I need is the best option to use optical out.. I would have prefered a simple phono out, and then I can plug into a big active speaker im using in the room, I owne nothing with optical connections... So what do buy ?  Ric

  • Connect ATV to an 16:9 analog TV with Component/RGB-Scart adapter

    Hi all.
I will use an ATV on a older 16:9 analog TV. My TV has a Scart connector with RGB input. I will connect the ATV over a component cable with a component/RGB-Scart adapter.
Is this possible or need i a new digital TV with dvi or component connections?
    Thanks, Ralph

    Component/Scart adaptor?
Component is Y,Pb,Pr and scart is RGB, I'm afraid they are two different things and you can't just simply connect the two together. There are convertors that will do what you want but a simple adaptor won't.

  • Need WiFi for Touch. Have wired connection. Is there a usb wifi adapter?

I have wired internet and wanted to know if there was some sort of usb adapter that would allow my computer to send out wifi signals to my iPod touch? (There was once something like this for the psp) Thank you.

You can use an Airport Express or simply replace your wired router with one that supports both wired and wireless.

  • How to connect Apple TV with AT&T Uverse

Need help pls.  Not sure how to connect Apple TV2 to AT&T Uverse.  I know I need to connect one cable to my wireless router, and another cable from the HDMI port to my TV.  That part is clear.  But my Uverse router is in an upstairs closet, and my TV is downstairs in the living room - too far apart to connect cables to both devices from my ATV2.   Do I need to somehow put a bridge router next to my TV, so that I can connect my ATV2 to both my bridge router and to my TV?  Thank you

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.
