Connect content of archive link with newly created kpro document

Hi all,
i hope this the right plase to post my question. Unfortunatelly i did not find any SAP Records Management Topic.
The issue is:
i am able to create a new document in Records Management with the FM:
SRM_DOCUMENT_CREATE
But, what is not realy clear for me, how can i connect content of archive link with newly created kpro document.

Hi Attila,
there is a difference between SRM_DOCUMENT_CREATE and ArchiveLink Documents.
If you use the SAP Standard Service Provider for Documents SRM_SP_DOCUMENT this
will refere to so called KPRO-Documents (KnowledgeProvider). This is totally different to
common ArchiveLink scenarios.
If you would like to use ArchiveLink Docs with attributes, there is the property unification in WebAS 6.40 available.

I have a workflow that moves a document from one library to another.
When a document is moved to a certain library I want to create a list item with a link to the document in the list item. Keep in mind there could be 10 files submitted to the library, so then in my list I would want 10 new list items created for
each file, with a link to the individual file. or is there a way to attach the document to a newly created list item programmatically?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to use a newly created Library document to create a list item and attach itself.
I recommend to create a workflow assocaited to the second library, and start the workflow automatically when an item is created.
Then add action as below:

Authorization problem with VF01 "Create Billing Documents"

Dear All,
We face following problem with VF01 "Create Billing Documents".
Transaction: VF01
User: Joe
Authorization of Joe:
     VKORG Sales Organization: A, B (authorization object V_VBRK_VKO)
     FKART Billing Type: 1, 2 (authorization object V_VBRK_FKA)
The objective for Joe:
   Joe is qualified to create bills in
      sales org A only for billing type 1 and in
      sales org B only for billing type 2.
   Joe should not be able to create bills for
      sales org A with billing type 2 and in
      sales org B with billing type 1.
How can we solve this problem?
We already searched for userexits without any success.
Any help or ideas are very appreciated.

There are standard authority-checks based on Sales organization (authorisation object V_VBRK_VKO) and/or Billing type (V_VBRK_FKA).
An option would be to create a new billing type, define specific authorisations and use the new billing type for these documents.
The bad thing is that you would also need a special (new) sales order type, because the billing document type is unique per sales order.
So maybe it is easier to have a different sales organization.
Another option would be to create a new authorization object and check it in the billing documents.
If you wish, you could modify program LV60A005 & LV60A006.
Then you might check various user/customer exits.
Some functions to check: EXIT_SAPLV60A_001/002,
EXIT_SAPLV60B_001 - 008, EXIT_SAPLV60B_010 - 011.

Connection Test issue with newly created INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI in PI7.0

Hi Pals,
Due to change in password for user "PIISUSER" in our system, i changed the login credentials in sm59 -> INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI.
But the test connection failed, popping up the username/password login dialog again and again.
So i deleted the RFC Connection "INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI" and recreated it with all the care mentioned in the XI installation guide, manually, step by step.
But again the test connection failed, popping up the username/password login dialog again and again.
I tried this exercise for almost 15 times but without success.
NOTE: I am able to login with "PIISUSER" from SAP system Login successfully.
Looking forward for your kind suggestions.

could be the problem with password..we also faced the same problem while using an alphanumeric one.
after changing to a completely numeric one it started working fine

Content Transfer Archive Link and sap viewer

Hello,
I configured archive link to view attached documents with the sap viewer via HTTP. The document is stored in a external Content management system. When I try to retrieve a document, the sap system genereates a request to my external archive server. The server sends a response back to sap. But will the content directly go from the archive server to the sap viewer application or will the content travel to the sap server and then to the client pc? For example: the sap server is in australia, the client PC in the USA and also the repository and archive server is in the USA. Will the content travel to australia and then back to the client PC in the usa?

Hi Nicole,
As far as i know when you create a document in you Content server SAP creates a link to that document, When your frontend request a document, SAP forward you to that link and SAPviewer retrieve the info directly from the Content server to the frontend.

Content Server / Content Repository / Archive Link and co.

Hi,
i have installed a content server on an external Windows 2003 Server Plattform using MAXDB. The Server is now running and working properly. The test of the content repositories were positive too. Now im a bit confused about all the actions which are required to make a content rep known to SAP System via Archive Link. Is it correct to start the content server service in the SCIF transaction? Do i need to perform the Archive Link Workflow and Costumizing wizard. Which tables have to be altered?
I would be very greatful if anyone could tell me the steps which need to be done in order to succeed.

the actions which are required to make a content rep known to SAP System via Archive Link.
Create a content repository in OAC0 using document area Archivelink and storage type HTTP Content Server.
To use full functionality of Archlink, other set of Archivelink configurations required one of them e.g.OAC3 to use this repository to be used by business objects.

How do I connect content in a movie with an action outside of it?

I have a movie clip of scrolling pictures that moves by way of the user moving a scroll bar. I want to have a row of the same but much smaller pictures underneath the movie that, when one image is clicked, it will make the movie scroll to that image. I'm not sure how to do this since the images are all housed in the XML for the movie. Is this even possible? Do I add the smaller row of images to the movie? If so, how do I do that? Can I get so that the smaller row of images stays in place?

How exactly do I do that? I'm not quite sure how to go about connecting frames when the file I've created is only working in one frame. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong with the script. I added this:

Can you clarify exactly how to do this? I'm not the biggest flash expert and not quite to the point where guessing results in positive results. Would I put this script with the xml file where all of the images are housed? Or just added to the end?

How to create XML element with out creating a document

I ve been looking for hours for a method to create an XML element without the need for the Document. I am trying to create objects that access the database, and I need in each of these objects a method that returns only an element (ie. getXMLData()). And in the class that created these object, I nee to call the getXML() methods and construct a document. However, I am not looking to create the document if I am not going to use it. In the component class I need to be able to traverse the xml element and read and modify the values. Is there a way to do so with sun's JDK ?

Though you have been told the solution, let's stick to your original issue, just for the sake of interest. I gather what you have in mind is finding the answer to the following question: is there a way of creating a document without having to bind it to any data source? The answer is yes. What you might need is the createDocument() method of the DOMImplementation interface which offers lightwight document handling by obviating the need to construct a particular DOM instance. (You could also use the getDOMImplementation() method of the DOMImplementationRegistry interface, but it has bugs.) Problem with newly created CM Repository NOT showing in Repositories Link

I am new to the Portal and this is the first time that I have created a CM Respository that is reaching out to a network drive (on a different domain and different server, our Platform is Windows). Here is what I have done so far...
1. Created a Windows file share
2. Configured a new CM Respository Manager (Persistence Mode FSDB)
I did the setup via System Administration, System Configuration, Knowledge Management, Content Management, Repository Managers, CM Repository.
It said it was created successfully but when I go into System Administration, System Configuration, Knowledge Management and then click on the link for "Repositories" (in the 3rd level navigation) it does not show up?
I restarted the service and still no luck...
How do I troubleshoot this??? I am not sure where to begin. Please be very detailed as this stuff is new to me.

I tried that and still no luck. Here is the interesting thing:
- If I change the DataBase mode to "DB", I get a green light in the monitor and it shows up properly within the Repository.
- If I change the Database mode to "FSDB, I get a Red light in the monitor and it shows and incorrect path
      "Startup Error: could not create directory:
172.xx.x.xx\folders\Root\Versions\versions"
      My actual path for "Root Directory" is "//172.xx.x.xx/folders/Root"
      The IP address is correct but where is the rest of this path coming from???

Can't log in with newly created user on new install of Arch [solved]

Hi all,
Yesterday I installed Arch anew (because I had a hardware failure that took out my hard drive), but now I'm encountering an issue with logging in.
After following the installation guide, and creating a new user, I find that I'm unable to log in as said user.
It complains about wrong password, but it's the exact same password that I entered mere moments before that, when creating the new user.
I can "log in" as said user by first logging in as root (which does work) and doing "su - <username>" (though then it doesn't ask for a password).
Can someone point me in the right direction to fix this problem?

I think cfr meant to say you shouldn't "fix" bash path - as some users did. Unfortunately there's a bit confusion wrt which paths should be used - see this ML thread.

In our existing ACS, when we add a new relying party with that associate with rule as bellow:

When I used the ACS created previously, for token I received, I have

Mb5b time_out with newly created user

Dear expert,
I have created new sap id and provided requested authorization however if we run mb5b it gets time_out even for one day but if we run it using any old SAP id it works fine.

take a performance trace in ST05 to see where the transaction spends all the time.
take an authorization trace in ST01 to see if the authorization affects the transaction.
make sure you execute with the very same selection parameters (except for the display variant, which may be user specific), the old user might have some defaults from user parameters which might not be available for the new user, compare the user parameters.
MB5B is in general slow and must not be used for mass data (see 1005901 - MB5B: Performance problems)

You can define WM movement type in V_T333:
SPRO > LE > WM > Activities > Transfers > Define Movement Types - here you have to define WM mvt 101 for your WH ("ABC").
LE-WM Interface
SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > Define Movement Types - here you can connect WM reference movement type to IM mvt and then WM mvt to WM reference mvt.

QM - linking newly created Inspection Lot to an existing Notification

We have a business requirement to link a newly created inspection lot to an existing Quality notification. When defects are recorded in the Inspection Lot, the linked quality notification should be used as opposed to creation of a new notification.
I am able to create the document flow to point the existing notification to Inspection Lot. In essence when the user displays the notification using QM02/QM03 and goes to document flow the newly created inspection lot gets displayed.
Has anyone encountered similar business requirement? Any inputs will be very much appreciated.

Linking an inspection with an existing notification is not possible.
But what can you do is create another notification for this. There is a funcationality in notification called as Related notification wherein you will get to know if there was a notification generation for this material before and it will also give you the inspection lot and all the details.
