Connect device to the internet using PC

i understand that PC suit allow to "Connect your PC to the web using your device", but i would like to use it the other way, coz connecting to the web from device is expensive. i just wanna update weather services and some podcast regularly to device using PC internet connection. i'm using nokia 6210.

The phone isn't designed for this at all. It is designed to be used as something to enable a connection, not as something to use an existing connection.
I'm relatively sure it can't be done via the USB cable. If you google for a piece of software called GNUBox you might be able to get it working over a bluetooth connection. This, of course, assumes you have a bluetooth adapter in your computer (either built-in or in the form of a USB dongle).

My project is an Internet Connection Sharing project where a no of clients try to access the Internet through a single connection (d main server). I've got a basic Java Browser that simply sends on the URL address ("www.java.sun.com") typed into a textfield by the user to a Server when a button is clicked. This is done thru basic read & write methods using an ObjectInput & ObjectOutputStreams. I've also created a socket connection out to the Internet by passing in the URL on port 80, thus establishing a connection... here's the code:

The next step is trying to get the URL page requested back to the server and from there to the client browser where it will be displayed. I'm using a JEditorPane() on my Browser which formats the HTML data. If anyone has any ideas as to how i can do this it would be gratefully appreciated.

RV-042G does not let WAP connected devices access the internet

I recently replaced our old Netgear router with the RV-042G. We have 2 wireless access points (Asus RT-N66U) that were both working before the change that now do not. I was able to ping various external sites from the access point web gui so I know that they are connected and working. WAP connected devices are able to pull an IP address from the router DHCP. Is there a setting on the RV-042G that I am missing?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Windows 8.1 laptop cannot connect to the internet using USB Mobile Broadband stick.

I bought a new laptop and it came with Windows 8.1 installed. Well, things worked perfectly until I wanted to connect to the internet using my mobile broadband USB stick. I installed the software that came with the stick, and my laptop recognize
the stick but I still cant connect to the internet. The stick workes perfect in my Windows 7 and Windows 8 laptops, but IT DONT CONNECT WITH MY WINDOWS 8.1 LAPTOP. What can I do to troubleshoot this???

If you haven't already, verify that you can connect to the internet through some other means such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet with your laptop to rule out any network setting issues. If you are able to connect successfully to the internet, use that opportunity
to make sure you have
Windows 8.1 Update installed as well as any other applicable updates your laptop may require.
You may also want to check the
Windows Compatibility Center to make sure that your device is compatible with Windows 8.1.
Another possibility is that the driver your laptop is installing for the device isn't the correct one. Check the device manufacturer's site for the most up to date driver they have available for Windows 8.1.

How to connect to the internet using ethernet

I have an iMac 10,1 and am unable to connect it to the internet using an ethernet cable.
I have a more recent Mac Book and I just plugged in the ethernet cable to it, clicked the setting in Network settings, and I was connected.
On the iMac it keeps saying, diagnostics can't fix it etc..?
On the left panel in Diagnostics, Ethernet has a green light, Network Settings an orange light, and ISP a green light (internet and Server are Red).
I'm using Comcast cable, and they just say the settings should appear automatically on a Mac (which they apparently did on my Mac Book!)
Any suggestions, appreciated.

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Restart the router. Many problems are solved that way.
Step 2
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
Step 3
Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
Step 4
Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.

Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).

I have a desktop computer with xp Pro windows. I updated from Firefox 3.6 to 4.0 and found I could not connect to the internet using this updated bowser. I had to remove 4.0 and reinstall 3.6 to restore a working version of Mozilla. Why did this occur?

I tried to update my browser from 3.6 to4.0. On restarting the computer I found I could no longer connect to the internet. I then connected to the internet using Internet Explorer and removed the mozilla browser and reinstall Mozilla firefox 4.0. Again the browser using this updated version didn't work. I recently got that a new USB CDMA modem which works fine on Windows 7 system but when I try connecting to my other laptop which runs on Windows 8.1, it keeps giving the error:

We could get more information about your problem through this log. While, for your problem, first of all, it would be better to contact USB Modem manufacture to confirm its compatibility with Windows edition.
After that, make sure its driver was upgraded to be latest.

If you have a 3G iPad, it can connect to the internet using cellular data. As the iPad has no USB port, you can't connect a USB modem. You can use what is called a MiFi, though. They connect to cellular service and create a personal WiFi hotspot.

I just downloaded the latest OS upgrade and since I can not connect to the internet using my cellular data plan.

I have checked my data plan and it's both current and over 2GB remaining. However the indicator shows no service, thus would be the best steps to recover.
