Connect Enterprise on 64-bit?

Has anyone installed Adobe Connect Enterprise 6 on a 64-bit
OS yet? It's supposed to work according to
www.adobe.com/go/90c5c948.
However, after selecting the install language a dialog appears:
"You must have at least 512 MB of physical memory to install Adobe
Connect. This machine has only 0 MB of memory. Setup will now
abort."
This is on a freshly installed Windows Server 2003 R2
Enterprise x64 Edition box.
Help?

mustangcharlie, as the TechNote I mentioned specifically
states, Breeze 5.x does not run on 64-bit.
To update everyone on Connect with 64-bit.... Adobe support
is currently trying to reproduce the problem. The tech I worked
with said there were "comments in the system" that imply "we may
not actually be supporting Connect on 64-bit". He spoke with an
engineer who confirmed it should work on 64-bit, and now the tech
is trying to reproduce my issue for the engineering team. And so I
wait, and consider reinstalling the box with 32-bit Windows....
Cheers.

  • How to install driver on a 64 bit system to access a networked printer connected to a 32 bit pc?

    Did a clean install of 64 bit Windows 7 and tried to connect to Deskjet printer connected to a 32 bit Windows 7 system on home network. Said to install from Windows installation DVD but no such animal on DVD. HP error only talked about USB connection and said nothing about network. Hookup worked fine when everything was 32 bit.
    This question was solved.

    Sorry, that wasn't clear at all. I would use the 64 bit machine to go on the internet and download the latest 64 bit driver for the printer. Just run the setup on the 64 bit machine and I believe it will give you the option to search for a shared printer.  You must use the 64 bit version of the printer driver on the 64 bit machine.  The driver is just telling the 64 bit machine how to communicate with the printer no matter where it is.

  • Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition 32 bits Service Pack 2 never finishes searching for updates and use 100% of CPU.

    Hi everyone, I am having issues updating a clean Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition 32 bits Service Pack 2, so any help with be appreciated cause I've already tried all my cards for the past 5 days in this particular issue without success.
    All I did so far is installing Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise with Service Pack 2, open IE to update, it keeps searching for updates and never stop, after 20mn to 30mn the process svchost.exe start using 100% of my CPU.
    I already tried the following scenarios:
    1-  Install IE8, install the update KB927891 and the Windows Update Agent 3.0 (I already had this one installed). Reboot and run windows update trough IE8 and the problem did not solved.
    2- Install those 2 software "MicrosoftFixit.wu.MATSKB.Run" and "MicrosoftFixit50777", open IE to update, it still hangs and continues eating my CPU. This is the output of "MicrosoftFixit".
    Windows Update error 0x8007000D(2014-01-06-T-06_06_34A) --> Not Fixed
    Cryptographic service components are not registered (This service is actually running successfully) --> Not Fixed
    3- I found the following script that would register some DLL, deleting the "SoftwareDistribution" and forcing windows update to solve the problem and nothing happened either.

    Herein is the root cause of your issue. A topic that's been discussed in several blogs, forums, and even in the media since September regards a known issue with attempting to patch IE6 RTM via Windows Update.
    Aside from that particular issue... browsing the Internet with an unpatched instance of IE6, especially from a Windows Server system, is also asking for a world of hurt.
    Might I suggest the following:
    Download the IE8 for Windows Server 2003 installer to a thumb drive.
    Download the latest Cumulative Security Update for IE8 for Windows Server 2003 to a thumb drive.
    Reinstall Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2.
    Upgrade to IE8 from the thumb drive installer and apply the
    Cumulative Security Update.
    Now your machine is capable of safely browsing to Windows Update to install the rest of the updates (well, maybe, there's also all those other Security Updates from the past seven years that your machine still has vulnerabilites for -- even those seven
    years of updates are going to take a Very Long Time to scan for, download, and install).
    Why don't you have a WSUS server? -- noting, wryly, that you've posted in the *WSUS* forum.

    11.2 is beta at the moment. There is no official release date so far.
    As DG4ODBC is independant from the Oracle database (or the target database) you can use a 3 machine model:
    On the first machine you have your Oracle database, on a second machine running 32bit Windows you can install DG4ODBC and on the 3rd machine you can run your foreign database.
    If the SQL Server 2k is installed on a 32bit Windows machine, then you can also install DG4ODBC on this machine.
    In general the connection from an Oracle database to the DG4ODBC machine is done using SDQL*Net. The listener responsible for DG4ODBC will then load the DG4ODBC executable which will connect to the SQL Server using SQL Server ODBC driver.

  • Sharepoint 2007 and SQL 2008 SP3 on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2 (64-bit)

    Is there any documentation we can check if SQL 2008 SP3 is compatible with Sharepoint 2007 SP2 or SP3? Both Sharepoint and SQL servers are running on separate Virtual machines (Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2(64-bit)). Currently DB is running on
    SQL server 2008 SP2, and we would like to have SP3 loaded on it, but want to find if there is any compatibility issue?
    Thanks in advance!
    mh

    I'm not aware of any known issues with SQL Server 2008 SP3 and SharePoint 2007. I did a quick check and saw one person reporting an issue with their Central Admin site after applying the SQL Server update, but that's it.
    With that being said, I would strongly encourage you to test out the application of that SQL Server service pack in a non-production environment well before you apply it in production. There is always a chance that your environment has something set up in
    it that would cause an unexpected issue, and the best way to get an idea of whether or not an issue exists is by doing it somewhere else first before you do it in prod.

  • Adobe Connect Enterprise Server 6 doesn't work on Firefox and Chrome

    Hi everyone,  we are using adobe connect enterprise server 6 recently the layout on Chrome and Firefox looks horrible but it works fine on IE, i have attach a photo of how it look on Firefox, any suggestion what the problem might be, thanks in advance.
    When we get this when we login:
    function showContentWithNav(url, pres, session, cw, ch, noScale, scrollbar, toolbar, status, location, target) {
            if (target == undefined)
                target = "";
    no need for adding session in URL. could be misused or mistakenly sent by user to others.
    and then used to access to webapp by someone.
    -- REMOVING IT   --
    var w, h, l, t;
    if (pres) {
    w = 0.96 * screen.width;
    h = 0.76 * screen.height;
    l = (screen.width - w) / 2;
    t = (screen.height - h) / 2;
    } else if (noScale) {
    w = cw;
    h = ch;
    l = (screen.width - w) / 2;
    t = (screen.height - h) / 2;
    } else {
    if (cw > 0 && ch > 0) {
    if (cw <= screen.width) {
    w = cw;
    h = w * ch /cw;
    if (h > screen.height) {
    h = screen.height;
    w = h * cw / ch;
    } else {
    w = 0.4 * screen.width;
    h = 0.3 * screen.height;
    l = (screen.width - w) / 2;
    t = (screen.height - h) / 2;
    var options = "toolbar=" + toolbar + ",status=" + status + ",location=" + location + ",resizable=1,left=" + l + ",top=" + t + ",width=" + w + ",height=" + h;
    if (scrollbar==false)
    options += ",scrollbars=no";
    else
    options += ",scrollbars=yes";
    var win = open(url, target, options);
         * Default showContent window, which displays popup w/ no navigation.
        function showContent(url, pres, session, cw, ch, noScale, scrollbar, target) {
          var toolbar = 0;
    var status = 0;
    var location = 0;
    showContentWithNav(url, pres, session, cw, ch, noScale, scrollbar, toolbar, status, location, target);

    I opened a new Flex project and then tried again. I finally found that it's not a problem of flash but div rendering.
    It seems Firefox and Chorme don't pass mouse wheel event automatically if div layout is set to "absolute".
    Although this is not a Flex issue, any idea of passing that event to flash will be appriciated. I haven't find a way to do it so far :-(
    What I'm doing is editing the "index.tamplate.html" to test. I added a div to contain the div of "flashContent" and set it's style to:
        position: absolute;
        top: 150px; left: 150px;
        height: 250px; width: 250px;
        z-index: 10;
    Another div's z-index is set to 1 to test the overlay effect.
    The reason why I added a div to contain the original div of flash, is I cannot figure out a way to effectively edit the CSS of the "flashContent" div.
    Any help will be thankful!!

  • Forms and Reports 6i on a Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 32 Bit.

    Hello,
    I am trying to install oracle forms & reports 6i on a Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 332 Bit
    Kindly guide me if Oracle certifies Forms and Reports 6i on Windows 7 machine.
    Please also tell me any link where I can find genuine documentation for this as we need to make a decision.
    Regards

    I'd go and have a hunt around here http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gR2/clientsod_forms10gR2.html
    You'll see this is to do with 10gR2 - I don't know whether you'll find anything on 6i as I don't think it's supported anymore.
    Oracle are never going to develop 6i as it's now 3 versions behind : 11g 10g 9i 6i ....
    Metalink would be the place to look.

  • Oracle 32 bit client to connect to a 64 bit database

    Hello Folks,
    My problems start with installing Informatica and Oracle in my 64 bit machine, both are 64 bit software.
    When I open Informatica to connect to Oracle, it opens with a 32 bit ODBC connector.
    So, essentially I want to connect to a 64 bit database.
    I was told it is possible using a 32 bit Oracle client.
    So, now I downloaded the Oracle 11g 32 bit client.
    My question is how to connect to use it to connect to a 64 bit database.
    Much obliged

    Hi,
    configure tnsnames.ora at client side....
    example: oracle 11g client 32bit
    go to oracle home where you have installed oracle 32 bit clinet and then /network/admin directory and then create tnsnames.ora file...
    ex:
    PROD1_db1=
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = db1.com)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = prod1)
    and then configure sqlnet.ora file as well
    create sqlnet.ora file at clinet side
    NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH=(TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT)
    once above files creation completion try to ping your prod db
    ex: your prod database name prod1
    tnsping prod1
    go to cmd prompt type below
    sqlplus usename/pwd@servicenamethanks,
    DBC.

  • Connect Enterprise - MS SQL Requirements

    Hello,
    I've looked through all the documentation I could find and
    also searched both the knowledgebase and the forum to find answers.
    What I'm looking for is granular "rule of thumb type data" for
    instance like in the format of:
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19524&sliceId=2
    Anyway:
    1. Does anyone have general MS SQL database file size metrics
    in regard to Adobe Connect Enterprise? I know it's a tough question
    with many answers based on how large of an install, how many users,
    etc. However does anyone have metrics based on what they've
    experienced?
    2. I have seen the Adobe server requirements for a Connect
    install, however, what would be the server requirements for a
    second server used as a SQL server to support the Connect install?
    Regarding MS SQL server to support a Connect install, should I use
    the requirements for Adobe Connect as a rule of thumb or the MS SQL
    Server 2005 requirements instead?
    Thanks!

    1) The database file is tiny; the content is the larger
    storage hog and is stored in a file system. I believe the database
    on one of our installs is about 1 MB with over 1,000 users.
    2) We currently have it set up with SQL 2000, but have
    started discussing the migration to SQL 2005 on the database
    server. I would go with 2005 to start with just because it's one
    less migration, but I couldn't say based on experience.

  • Tracking Individual Users Scores using Captivate 4 and Connect Enterprise

    Hi,
    I work in an IT shop and currently I am having trouble supporting our Marketing division's Captivate needs. They wish to be able to create quizes for online viewing in an LMS and be able to track individual users scores for accountability. Right now I we are using Captivate 4 with Adobe Connect Enterprise. I have been able to use the LMS and view quizes online, but all reporting is done as aggregate and not a session by session (individual) basis. Thus, I only have access to average, max, min scores and other info about all test takers, but no information about specific test users. I have considered accomplishing this by sending data to an access database, but this would require the IT deparment to regularly assist them with creating tests. Obviously I am looking to have the Marketing department be as self-sufficient as they can be. I think the easiest way would be to have the quiz report a session ID (unique for each instance of the quiz being accessed) to Adobe Connect and having Connect associate each aswer to a specific session ID. Other than that I do not have any other ideas for proper tracking of each user's score.
    Does anyone know what the easiest (least amount of involvement from the IT staff each time Marketing needs to make a test in captivate) way to accomplish this?
    Thanks!

    So, i sorta found a way to do this -- by adding a TOC and making the lessons self-paced, the user will always be brought back to the place where they left off when they exited the lesson.
    But it seems that even though the icon in the curriculum list changes to CONTINUE when the user closes the lesson, it still unlocks the next lesson even though the staus checkmarks in the previous lesson are not complete.
    Help. Are there any other such postings?
