Connect Invoice to TSW nomination

Hi,
Maybe a silly question but I really need help on this one.
How can I connect an invoice to the TSW nomination ?
I looked everywhere but it seems very hidden.

Hi,
There is no direct linkage between the invoice and nomination of TSW. you always refer to a sales document or a puchasing
document in the nomination with the appropriate reference document indicator. When you create a ticket, during actulization the followon docuemnts get created for a the SD/MM documents.

I'm using 'RFC_TSW_NOM_CREATEFROMDATA' Function Module to create TSW Nomination.
The problem I'm facing here is - I'm unable to pass 'THIRD_NOMNR' field in the Item-structure of this Function Module.
(Partner Nomination). I searched in the structure bapitswnom03, but it is not available.
Is this the only FM available to create Nomination?
I tried OIJ_NOM_MAINTAIN_MULTIPLE by passing UPDKZ = 'I', but it is not working.
Can anyone help me in providing the field name for Partner Nomination in Strucure bapitswnom03 or please provide me some other FM name.

TSW Nomination Status codes

Hi,
In case of TSW Nominations items, there are 3 status active, inactive and deactive. The active and inactive status is stored in table OIJNOMST.
But is it possble to get the Deactivated status for a particluar nomination item by means of some function module table, etc???
Any pointers would be helpful.

Connect invoice to user through WF log

Ladies and gentlemen,
I have a performance problem with WF/invoicing report.
I need to show those invoices which were approved by a selected user. There are thousands and thousands of invoices (10 years of invoicing). I see no way how to connect an invoice with a user, because the user does not create or change the invoice so I cannot use any standard table field. The only way I can connect the invoice and an approver is the WF log.
In my report invoices reading takes like 20% of the processing time and 80% the WF log reading. Because I cannot connect an invoice with a user in a smart way, I have to select many more invoices than I really need to, read the WF log for them and filter like 90% of them, because after checking the WF log I can tell the user had nothing to do with the specific invoice.
Is there a way how to quickly check if the user was a part of the approval process (in fact I have a name of a specific task) for a specified invoice? If this could help me reduce the number of the processed invoices and would be much quicker than reading the whole log for every invoice and its approval process, it would help me improve the performance.

Of course there is transaction SWI5 - which shows you which workflows the user has taken part in. But I suspect that this will not help you much as it is on a user-by-user basis.
Swi1 - with the selection criteria filled in (dialog task, task ID) should help.
If that fails, maybe some custom report to use SAP_WAPI_GET_WI_AGENTS?

There are some items which I do not enter in VA01(for instance meal, electricity etc. ) screen and I bill them manuall in VF01 Screen. When I do that I want to engage invoive document to sales document..

Update Nomination status table OIJNOMST

Hi all,
I need to update the nomination satus table OIJNOMST in an ABAP application. I cannot directly use the INSERT statement as some data processing which is done by the system will not be carried out. I have been informed there are some function modules for updating OIJNOMST. Can anyone tell what they are and how i can use them?

Can you copy the Temperature in Delivery Note to Bulk Shipment document?

Is there a way to copy the temperature inputted in the "Qty in Alternate UOM" tab in the item details of the Delivery Note to the Bulk Shipment document during the Change Loading confirmation process?
One of our process requirements is to be able to copy the Material temperature and test temperature parameters, among others, from the delivery note to the Shipment document during O4G1 (change loading confirmation). We can only access until the Delivery Note, and then an automation in the system takes over, hence we cannot make changes in O4G1.
What happens here now during O4G1 is the system does not look to the delivery note for whatever temperatures have been entered, but rather it looks back at the O3DEFAULTS table. The problem with that is, during the day, some temperature information can be updated, while O3DEFAULTS is updated perhaps only once a day.
Is there a configuration setting that I can check?

I do not think that there is standard way to copy additional quantities (Qty and temp data) from outbound delivery doc but I think you can do this thru custom developement like implementing BADI and add new tab "Qty in Alternate UoM" and get the data from LIPSO2 table. We have applied same approach on our TSW Nomination to display some additional data outside standard process.

Ethernet How-to

I have been a dial-up user since my iMac purchase in 2000, but now the other house computer which has been on dial-up (and with whom I have been sharing a dedicated phone line) is now going to Road Runner high speed, and I need to follow suit. I have read the other discussions about using AirPort (and the difficulty of obtaining same), but I have concluded that this would involve purchasing a hard-to-find AirPort card, plus a base, plus updates of my MacOS 9.0.4 and Word 98 for Mac--all in all, not terribly cost-effective. For the record, I also use an old browser (Internet Explorer 5).
I am interested in connecting via the ethernet option, but I want to know exactly what I would need to get in order to accomplish this. I read elsewhere on this site about getting ethernet twisted-pair cable with RJ-45 connector, at speed 10/100 Base-T for my computer, plus for internet connection I need a router (a.k.a. "ethernet wireless adaptor"?) From other posts, I have gathered info about manufacturers and websites for obtaining the router.
Should these 2 items be all I need? Will I have to update my operating systems anyway, in order for them to work with the high speed?
I will add that there is a good 30 feet of distance between the 2 computers which are to be connected in this way. Having to connect/disconnect a long cord at every use is not ideal, but this is what I have been doing anyway with the phone cable. I am an almost-daily computer user, but basically a casual user. This would be a temporary arrangement.

Yes, the originating computer is in fact a PC, already up and running with high speed as of this week.
An added wrinkle is that I did contact Earthlink to ask if cancelling dial up results in losing my e-mail address, and I was surprised to learn that the company has something dubbed "premium mail" in which one keeps the address and everything that goes with it EXCEPT the actual connection (this for a nominal fee per month). Since in November I was involuntarily separated from my mac.com account (long story, but it has to do with an old agreement between Apple and Earthlink that finally expired--though they did not warn me in advance, and suddenly I had no e-mail), I really am liking the notion of keeping the 5 month old Earthlink address intact; I do not wish to go through making all those changes again--even having to contact prospective employers with change of e-mail, etc.
The other decision I face was the original reason for this thread--exactly how to connect up the 2 machines. I was at first leaning toward the less expensive wired method of using some ethernet cables and a wired router. However, I am in a temporary living arrangement, and when I move out, I think this kind of connect-up will do nothing for me. If I go for the wireless method of getting a wireless router plus a wireless ethernet adaptor, perhaps at least one of the two machines would be helpful when I am out on my own? Anyway, this is the current investigation. I am learning a lot.
And...I am so glad to meet new friends in the UK, which I have always wanted to visit.

Method to Read or Open files without going in to GOS-- View Attachments.

But we are not using DMS scenario for attaching the documents. What we are doing
We go to a SAP tcode like O4nsn for TSW Nominations> then GOS> create attachment.
Now the sap attachment is created and stored in sap database. We can retrieve attached documents by going into the same tcode and GOS--> View attachmenmts. Since these documents are strored in sap databse i want to know some other mechanism to retrieve these documents.
Appreciate your help on this.

Tips for Using Containment Relationships (When Are They Required?)

Hello again,
Our team was recently discussing when to use containment relationships, and we realized that there is room for improvement in our understanding. Having read many of the help topics, the primary use for containment relationships seems to be the ability to determine whether or not an entity is complete. However, as far as we can tell, in our work we have not yet encountered a need for the entity-completeness concept (if we have, it was unbeknownst). Instead, using a containment structure within a data model often seems to complicate matters by distancing entities from the Global (thus making it seem more challenging to reason across instances).
My best guess, aside from completeness, is that containment relationships are required when mapping from a database structure (e.g. Siebel). For example, a model such as:
Global
- the invoice
- - the invoice line item
...might interface more correctly with external data structures compared to a "flatter" structure such as:
Global
- the invoice
- the invoice line item
...where a "regular" (non-inferred, non-containment) relationship would be needed to connect invoices to their line items. In the latter scenario, perhaps the relationship would be more difficult to define when the data were mapped over?
I have a feeling we might be missing something obvious, but I'm curious to know what this community thinks about this question. Can anyone help, perhaps by providing a list of advantages / disadvantages to containment, or maybe the situations in which containment is always required?

I've built numerous demo rulebases for integration, usually with Siebel so I'll use that as my example. What I have learnt through doing this is that integration will be easier if the logical structure of the OPA entities/containment relationships matches the logical structure of the Siebel business components.
For example, if in Siebel you have something representing Global (which I'll call a Case for this example), and you also have several business components logically below Case, e.g.
A Case can have multiple Contacts
Each Contact can have multiple Incomes
Each Contact can have multiple Resources
Each Contact can have multiple Expenses
I would set up the following entities/containment relationships in OPA:
Global --> one-to-many --> the household member
the household member --> one-to-many --> the household member's income
the household member --> one-to-many --> the household member's resource
the household member --> one-to-many --> the household member's expense
Note that Contact (Siebel) = the household member (OPA). I could use "the contact" in OPA, but I prefer to use a more business-user friendly name such as "the household member" -- if they are indeed household members, it could also be the person, the taxpayer, etc. or whatever is appropriate for the source material.
I assume this general principle still applies if the integration is with something other than Siebel.

Terrible lag chatting with someone on AOL

I have two computers on my wireless network: a MacBook Air and my new iMac i7.
Using the MBA, I can video chat with my friend (who's using AOL's client on a PC) just fine. On my new iMac, however, we are experiencing terrible lag times (round trip lags of 15 or more seconds). The problem is replicable.
I have checked the wireless router connections and everything is nominal. Using Skype for video chat shows no difference between the two computers.
The version of iChat on my iMac is 5.0.3. On the MBA, the iChat version is 4.0.8.

In ichats prefs click on video and change bandwidth limit to 500(if still happens try 200).
Restart iChat.

Enlightenment

I need help with Enlightenment (standard, not this beta).
1. I made pacman -S entrance, put it in DAEMONS, and in ~/.xinitrc, but it still doesn`t want to start with boot-up
2. when i type "startx" i can see enlightenment logging system, i put my username and password... and then i got an error (tragicall music here)

You did a whole lot of stuff wrong. Let me tell how I do it.
First, install enlightenment via pacman -S enlightenment. Now you have several options. The best bet is definatly to put enlightenment (or the startup-wrapper, I don't know if this one was under e17 or under 16 but if you take the wrong executable, it will tell you during startup so just trial and error) into your .xinitrc with something like
exec enlightenment
Now after you have done that, I see that you want to use a Login-Manager. The easiest way to do this is, IMHO, to install slim via pacman -S slim and then adding slim to your DAEMONS in /etc/rc.conf
If you did it all right, the Login-Manager will start up upon boot-time. There you can enter your credentials and, in the case of slim, your .xinitrc gets executed and enlightenment starts.
A little on the ranty side: did you have any clue whatsoever before you did what you described above? Jesus, I mean: entrance in your .xinitrc? Give me a break!

Crystal Reports, SAP B1 - connect OINV, OPCH (A/R Invoice, A/P Invoice)

What I need to do is to connect the two SAP B1 v9.0 tables listed above (A/P Invoice OINV, and A/R Invoice OPCH) in a Crystal report WITHOUT SQL. How do you connect these tables? Purpose of report is for sales commissions. Existing customer report combines SAP B1 data from these tables but is done manually in Excel. Attempting to create report in Crystal for automation purposes. Will also include INV1 and PCH1 for detailed line item marketing document information. Thanks for any assistance.
