Connect ipad to iMac

How to Connect iPad to iMac ? Only via iTunes and cable?

Are you looking in the right place to find the shared files on your iMac?
First thing you need to do is on your iPad. Share the files you want to transfer by selecting Share > iTunes.
Start iTunes on your iMac. Is it iTunes 11? If so use the View menu in iTunes to select View Sidebar.
Then connect your iPad to your iMac.
Select your iPad in the left sidebar.
Select Apps in the row of tabs in the right window of iTunes.
Scroll down under Apps to the File Sharing section. It is below the complete list of apps.
You should see a list of the shared files or a folder that contains the files. Use the Copy To... Button ( if there is one ) to copy the shared files to your iMac.
