Connect Iphone to car radio system

I try to find a way to connect my Iphone to my car radio. I wan to listen my mp3 and use my phone with the car radio system.

There are many ways to do this (I use the MonsterCable ipod adapter in rental cars, and the Pioneer Ipod Interface for my P7500DVDII) both with decent results. (great results if you turn on airplane mode). All GSM phones can effect stereo equipment to some degree, and the iphone is no exception. Alot of the 3rd party kits do not use shielded connections which just makes the problem that much more obvious. I found if I adjust the location of my phone in relation to the transmitter and the radio the Monster fm modulator gives satisfactory results without disabling my ability to recieve phone calls. The pioneer is the best, however I can't place the phone in the holder which was installed with the kit since it is in the DIN above the stereo (VW Jetta) and the phone constantly interferes with the amplification circuits. Moving the phone 3-4 inches fixes it.

I have an Iphone 6 plus. Can the bluetooth connect to the cars speaker system and a Garmin HUD unit at the same time?

    Hi,
Normally yes, Bluetooth can connect to multiple devices at the same time, so yes.
The only thing is that you'll be able to send sound/music to only one at a time, but I understand the Garmin HUD doesn't play sounds.

  • IPhone 5S with ios8 fail to connect my Bluetooth car audio system

    Dear apple users and developers,
I have read many threads about this issue mostly for iPhone 5 (ok i have the 5S) perhaps this makes a difference. With the ios7 i had no issue and always connected to my MHV-8300BT Pioneer device in my car. After update, when i get connected, i says "Calling My number" and when i push the button on my device to answer it drops the line, it keeps the connection but i do not hear, speak. Then i have to change the source voice system and i set the speaker or the iPhone.
On my fathers Bluetooth, a Motorola, it works, at the beginning i made a reset only for the Network settings,
Do not know what else to do
    Thanks for reading my post

  • HT1477 Good evening.  What kind of an adapter do I require to plug my ipod shuffle into the Aux In plug to connect to my car radio??  Thank you.

Good evening,  What kind of an adapter do I require to plug my ipod shuffle into aux 1 outlet in my car to go through radio???

It's not really an "adapter."  It's a cable with a mini-stereo plug at both ends.  Here's an example
    http://www.amazon.com/Monster-iCable-Player-Auxiliary-Input/dp/B002AR5XIK
Connect it from the shuffle's headphones jack to the auxilliary audio input on car audio system.  You called it an "aux 1 outlet," but it's really an audio INPUT, correct?  DO NOT connect it there, if that is an audio OUTPUT.  It needs to be an audio INPUT.

  • Connecting iPOD to car radio

    Hi there,
Recently, I got a new car. A Seat Leon with a radio/MP3/Navigation system. The system is the exact same one used in VolksWagens (IIRC the manufacturer is BlauPunkt).
Since I'm taking a long trip from Holland to Denmark soon, and I don't want to listen to the German 'Rundfunk', I decided to replace my old iPOD (it got very sick. Its HD went 'click' all the time, which can't be good)) with a new iPOD 30 GB.
This morning I stepped into my car, excited like a kid in a candystore, and hooked up the USB cable to the USB port of my car. Then I plugged in the iPOD, which told me to not disconnect. SCORE! Or not?
The iPOD realises it is connected, and starts charging. It also pretends to be playing, but my radio won't recognise it. Anyone have any experience like this? The dealer I bought the car at recommended me to RTFM and configure the radio for AUX, but I don't think there's such a thing, and they are closed now, so I cannot even yell at them now.
    Anyone at all? whimpers
    Thanks.

Having a USB port is not all you need. It's just one piece.
Is the car radio 'iPod Ready'?
The radio needs to be aware that it is an iPod connected to it, and not just some USB storage device which has MP3 files on it.

  • Instaling Iphone in car sound system to answer calls

Is it possible to install the iPhone with the sound system of the car, to be able to answer phone calls? Is this complicated?

Yes, it is possible. Like the above poster mentioned, though, it depends on the Bluetooth of your car, and if it's compatible with the iPhone.
I personally have had my iPhone 3G connected via bluetooth with my car, but it was a mediocre experience. Perhaps you will have better results.
As for the complexity of pairing your phone, it depends more on your car's system. Consult your car's user manual for guiding you through the bluetooth pairing process.

  • Connecting mini to car radio

My sister wants a device to connect her ipod to her car radio. She has an older car so it doesn't have a built in port. Her radio does have a cd player. Does anyone have any suggestions for one that works well (she's invested in a few duds in the past)?
    Thanks!

  • Pairing with problems with car radio system

    Hi
I have a Blackberry 8700 which I need to pair with the Radio in a Land Rover Freelander 2 (same for Jaguar, Volvo and some other Ford based Radios). It would not connect at all and I was advised to download an applet from Blackberry and it does now connect but I don't get the phone numbers/ contacts/ call logs to transfer. The O/S version is 4.2.1.94. Does anyone know how to get full functionality. Frustratingly it fully connects with my portable Garmin Sat Nav. I know car radios are not always the most flexible things but it is really frustrating as otherwise the hands free calls are fine.
    Hope someone can help
    Grumpy

I also have the same problem with an 8900 and Land Rover Freelander.
Is this a bug with the Blackberry OS?
    Can someone help?

  • IPhone over car radio?

Can I buy an adapter so that I can play my iTunes on my iPhone over my car radio??

I don't see why not, in fact doing it that way will give you better sound quality that using FM transmitters. I use a tape adapter.

  • Cark-126 connections (esp. to car radio)

I am struggling to find wiring instructions for the Cark-126 car kit. Can anyone help?
In particular I want to wire it into my Car Radio (Pioneer KEH-P4830R in 1999 Honda Civic) so that:
    * I use the radio’s loudspeakers (ie. not the Cark’s speaker)
    * The radio mutes automatically (the radio does specifically support this)
    1. Do I need to buy any additional cables to do this? (ie. not already included in the car kit).
    2. If not how do I connect the kit’s control unit (HFU-4) to the radio?
    3. Where do I connect the Yellow (“radio mute”) core of the PCU-4 power cable?
    4. Is there anywhere I can still download / obtain the installation manual? (it’s no longer available on Nokia website)
    Thanks, Andrew

You will need to buy a mute interface to make the sound come through the car speakers, this will also provide power to the car kit & can be ordered with a cark-126 plug already on the lead, so it just plugs in. The pioneer radio will have a yellow wire on the back with a tag stating mute wire, connect this to the yellow on your car kit. I would not recommend you try and install this yourself because you can do a lot of damage if you dont know what you are doing, look in you phone book and find a specialist who can supply all the corect parts and fit it properly for you.

  • Can one use  the iphone with car  stereo systems as one does an ipod?

My car has a "jack" for mpegs/ipod to interlace with the existing stereo. Is there an accessory that will allow me to use my iphone as one would an ipod with such systems?

    Dewey Cheatum,
Apple doesn't make most of the adapters out there. Instead Apple provides the specifications so that other manufacturer's can make products that are labeled as "Works with iPhone".
I would contact the manufacturer of the car stereo to see if they have one that is certified by them to meet the "Works with iPhone" standard. If the radio came with the car, then the dealer and car manufacturer would be the resource to utilize.
This link described how manufacturer's can get their products labeled as "Made for iPod" or "Works with iPhone".

  • Changing Video out on iPhone 4 car radio

I have a pioneer avic-d3 and an iPhone 4. The radio will play video from the iPhone but I can't find the setting to allow the iPod to send its video to the radio. Any ideas?

There is no setting. On my Pioneer deck, when I connect my iPhone, I can select videos when my deck is set to iPod and the list of videos on my phone is dislayed on the screen of the deck. I select one, it plays on the decks screen like yours.
Again, there are no settings on the phones ipod to control this. I connect my phone using the standard iPod connector included with the deck.
