Sorry, but no. Because the iPad does not have a cursor for you to use the mouse with.

Magic Mouse with FCPx or Magic Trackpad or both?

I've been using the trackpad with FCPx for sometime, it works well but sometimes it's nice to use the mouse. Was wondring if the Magic Mouse would be better, anyone using the Magic Mouse with FCPx and prefer it as apposed to the Matic Trackpad

e.g. scrolling thru the timeline by just 'wiping' on the pad is great.
plus, the OS-gestures to switch windows/screens is very helpful, e.g. I'm using QuicktimePro to select only short parts of longer files, import those to FCPX - so screen#1 is FCPX, screen#2 is QTpro, screen#3 Pixelmator (to create 'live' graphics for my project) ...... very ... handy < pun intended >

Magic mouse with windows

im getting a magic mouse and right now im using a sony vaio with Windows 7...so i really want to use my apple magic mouse with it..will it be work with windows? i heard there is a softwere called "boot camp" with that you can use your magic mouse with your windows..is it true or is there a way to use my magic mouse with windows?

If your Windows computer has Bluetooth built in, then you cause your Magic Mouse with the computer, but you won't be able to use any of the multitouch gestures.

Cannot connect magic mouse

I just got a Magic Mouse and am trying to pair it with my MBP running Lion. The very first time I tried, it connected and worked for about 3 seconds. Then it lost connection. Now when I try to connect it, I get a lovely message from Apple:
"The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. Make sure your device is in range of this computer, turned on, and "discoverable."
So, the mouse is within 2 feet of my machine. It is turned on and the green light is blinking. When I try to pair it, it shows up in the list again.
Does anyone have an idea of why this isn't working the way it should? Thanks so much!

Sounds like you got it paired the first time. Once it's paired, no need to try again. Look in System Preferences > Bluetooth and see if it's listed. If so, highlight it, click the gear icon below the list and select Connect.

Help magic mouse with imac early 2006 (4,1)

Hello i have a problem with my new magic mouse, the mouse lost connection frequently. The old mighty mouse work correctly 100%.
I tried delete the bluetooth preference and start imac with DVD leopard and snow leopard (the mouse don't work in installation gui because lost connection).
This is a known bug? How can i fix it?

If you have read my post, I can only recommend -
1) shut everything down and disconnect your Mac at the wall socket, wait about a minute, then plug back in and restart; then
2) remove the batteries and press the silver connector buttons in the battery compartment a few times, replace the batteries, reconnect using the Bluetooth Preferences panel, and
3) repair 'Permissions' using Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities/DIsk Utility)
I don't know if this works but I did all these and the problem has gone away. It least I haven't had the problem for the last ten or so hours now, so there you go.
I think the answer is in either 1 or 2 above, maybe both.

Magic Mouse with Windows 7 Boot Camp

I get that this discussion has been posted here and on other forums throughout the web. I still don't get it. My Magic Mouse works when I use Mac, but when I use Boot Camp Windows 7 Professional 64-bit I can't get it to install. The number 2 step people keep saying is "right click" on the magic mouse. Do I right click the actual mouse or the magic mouse icon? Also, how do I right click if the Mac I have only has the pad? I'm new to Mac's and tried clicking the right side of the pad and nothing different happens.
I'm really bad with computers so if someone can break it down as easy as possible I would much appreciate it.

Using Apple Magic Mouse With Windows 7 64 bit and Parallels Desktop 8 questions

I will be getting an iMac in the coming months and installing Parallels Desktop 8 and Windows 7 64 bit.
I was wondering if I would have the functions of been able to left click, right click, scroll (preferably vertically but also occasionally horizontally) with the Apple Magic Mouse when I'm running Windows 7 through Parallels Desktop 8?
I just wondered if anyone has installed Parallels Desktop 8 and Windows 7 and have you been able to do what i mentioned above and also have you come across any other issues, problems whilst using the Apple Magic Mouse on the Windows side?
If there is any problems/issues with doing the above, is there anything I will need to do to get the above functionality to work?

Sometimes scrolling is a bit too fast, becuase Win 7 isn't made to use with the Magicmouse or trackpad.
The only thing i miss / doesn't work ist the middle mouse button!

Pair Magic Mouse With Both OS X and Windows (BootCamp)

Hi everyone!
So the other day I setup bootcamp on my mac. I can now access windows but when I do, I have to first boot up OS X, disconnect my magic mouse then switch back to windows to pair it again. Is this supposed to happen because its really annoying.

Magic Mouse with mobee

Hi i just put the mobee inside and my mac cant see it as magic mouse any longer, it just looks like in computer as ordinary bluetooth mouse so i cant use like a real magic mouse, do you thing there is connection between those problems and mobee? thx
or do i have to have software installed specially for magic mouse?

The problem seems to have just gone away.
I wrote to Mobee, and their answer is to take the batteries out, recharge and see if that does the trick.
Having been through this once before, and sending pictures along of the MM, which didn't help, it was just an oddball problem that has gone away.
I'll keep an eye on things.
I guess it's just one of those mysteries of Apple and the third party.

I dropped my old magic mouse and broke it. Bought a new one. I have deleted everything i can find but my system wants to connect to the old one and will not discover the new one. How...?

Finder Go menu -> Go to Folder... "/Library/Preferences", then remove "com.apple.Bluetooth.plist", then reboot could solve the problem.

There are no cursors on iOS devices, hence a mouse wouldn't work if it's purpose is to move the cursor. I don't know about programming a mouse to do other things on a device.
In case you're wondering, the "insertion point" you see in iOS editors, etc. is not a cursor.
