Connect my iphone5c to my Samsung tablet using Bluetooth

How to connect my Samsung galaxy tab 3 to my iphone 5c via Bluetooth

For what purpose? iOS doesn't support the BT profile for file sharing. You can share the iPhone's data connection over BT.

I cannot connect my I pad mini and iPhone using Bluetooth.

I'm not sure what made you think that that was not what Regal trail was asking... I am having the same problem and wish that that question had been answered! I believe I've gone through the same steps that used to work, to no avail now. But I'm betting that you (Chris) have the answer to this!
In a nutshell: I'm trying to share my iPhone's cellular connection with my WiFi-only iPad Mini, using a Bluetooth connection. I used to do this regularly, but went for a period of time without the need for it, and so am hard pressed now to identify which thing that might have changed during the interim would have made it no longer work.
iPhone is connected to internet via cellular data (AT&T LTE). Bluetooth is on. Personal Hotspot is on.
On iPad, Bluetooth is on. My iPhone shows up in the list under My Devices, and I can select it, and it will connect for approximately 5 seconds. The shared connection icon shows up on the iPad. The iPhone (on the Bluetooth screen) shows, for those 5 seconds, that the iPad is connected, but the shared connection status bar never shows up on the iPhone.
    After 5 seconds, it disconnects.
Thoughts? Need more info? Let me know! Thanks.

    Hello Mogulman46,
So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.
Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  • Connecting Tungsten E2 to a Samsung T629 via Bluetooth

Hello.  I'm having some troubles connecting my phone (a Samsung t629) to my palm (Tungsten E2).  Basically what i want to establish from this connection is being able to text from my palm.  I would like the full keyboard and pen feature instead of t9.  If i need anymore apps or how to establish this connection, much help is appreciated.  I have already got a bluetooth connection between the two, but when ever i try to, say "dial" someone on my palm, my phone says "DUN connection with palm"? and i click yes on my samsung. and it ouputs the following on my palm.
"The phone was unable to handle your request.
Please make sure you are using the right driver for your phone"
Does this mean i am unable to do anything with my phone?
I have tried to search for drivers but to no avial.
    Much help appreciated!!

  • Connection between Sony ericson PDA and desktop using bluetooth

    Hi folks,
My desktop is bluetooth enabled using a motorola USB dongle and I have a Sony Ericsson 910i PDA. My program which is written in JAVA needs to communicate with a midlet running on the PDA. Unfortuantely it doesn't, 'cause its not able to discover the PDA nor find the services.
I have tried most of the bluetooth libraries like jsr82,bluecove,atinav,avelink .... but even the test programs which come as a part of these jars do not discover my PDA.
The motorola USB dongle comes with a Widcomm bluetooth stack versioned 4.0.1.2500.
Am stuck up with this from past 4 weeks and its really frustrating.
Can anyone please help me regarding this.
    Thanks in advance,
    $hanki

  • Problem connecting multiple ios devices in a session using GKSession

    Hi everyone, Here's my problem.
I am a beginner in iOS apps development and I am developing an application that requires to connect from 3 to 6 devices together using Bluetooth.
I am not using GKPeerPickerController since it does not allow me to define a Server and Clients.
Instead, I am using GKSession to define a server in GKSessionModeServer and for the moment two clients GKSessionModeClient.
I use the peersWithConnectionState:GKPeerStateAvailable method to find the server and it works fine.
Now the problem is that when I get the server peerID and try to connect the clients with the server using connectToPeer:serverPeerID withTimeout:10, it takes each client from 5 seconds to 5 minutes to join the server in his session. The problem is that it takes a long time for the server to receive the connection request from each client.
Now when I try to connect them when the server changes his state it works without any problem cause I can get the GKSession instance of the server in the method that is called in the clients code when the server availability changes from NO to YES.
    My questions are:
    - Is it normal that it takes so long for the server to detect the connections requests from each client?
    - Is there any other way to establish a connection between devices in a server-client mode using Bluetooth or WiFi?
Thanks for your help and time.

  • Having trouble with connecting my iphone and macbook air using bluetooth for internet tethering

    Hi,
I am facing an issue connecting my iPhone5 to my Macbook Air using bluetooth primarily for internet tethering - personal hotspot.
Every time I try to pair my iPhone with the Macbook Air, I get the error on the iPhone that 'the device that I am trying to connect is not supported'.
Can anyone provide assistance to me on resolving this issue.
    Thankyou,
    Ashwani

You can't resolve it using bluetooth because it is not a feature you can use here are the supported files for bluetooth http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3647
YOu will have to contact your carrier and enable personal hotspot as suggested by questionaire.

  • Xperia link uses Bluetooth or Wifi?

    Hi
I am a bit confused as everywhere I read that the Xperia link between the Z2 phone and Z2 tablet uses Bluetooth, but whenever I start a connection it switches on the phone wifi and I can see in the tablet wifi settings that tt has made a wifi connection.
How can I make a bluetooth only connection?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I tested this here but for me they connect with bluetooth and not WiFi.
Have you downloaded the latest version of Xperia Link and have you updated the firmware in both the phone and tablet?

  • Browsing SE W600i using Bluetooth

I can pair my phone and computer (10.4.6) without problem and iSync works as it should. Address book also claims to be able to connect to the phone (although I can't send SMS or dial... haven't seen if I'll get an onscreen message if I recieve a call).
No other applications can connect to the phone. If I use Bluetooth File Exchange and try "browse device" it does nothing. Trying to connect Salling Clicker from the computer fails (although I can initiate the connection from the phone without problem.
I've been trying to find the answer in other posts but don't see anything that fits.

same thing here. let me know if you find an answer. I can get the onscreen pop-up when a call comes in - you have to have addressbook open and connected to your W600i for that to work. But no dice on SMS or dialing from addressbook.

  • I just purchased a JBL charge wireless speaker that is supposed to be compatible with ipad using Bluetooth , but cannot get my ipad to find the device. Please help

How do I connect ipad  to jbl charge wireless speaker using Bluetooth. My ipad and ipad mini do not find device

I am having the same issue as YCandy.  My iPhone 5 paired immediately - then I had bluetooth on my iPhone "forget the device" - but when I try to pair with my iPad it doesn't find the speaker.  I just purchased the JBL Charge wireless.
The directions that come with the speaker are just pictures - shows me how to connect everything and what each light and button means.  But it doesn't explain how to make sure the device is in "pairing mode."   What does that mean exactly?   The power button is blinking Blue - and never pairs with my iPad.
    Any suggestions?

  • How to use keynote remote w/ iPad and iPhone using Bluetooth

Using IOS 7.0.6 on iPad and iPhone can't get a connection via Bluetooth to use iPhone as a remote to control keynote on iPad. Bluetooth is on, remote is enabled in keynote on both devices but that is as far as I get. I'm looking for some instructions for what seems to be a simple process. Searched all over and only find outdated instructions or instructions that appear incomplete. I don't think my Wi-Fi connection at work will allow this type of connection that's why I want to use Bluetooth. I can't get the 2 devices to do this on my home Wi-Fi either. Using the latest  update to keynote. iPad is work issued and not sure if it is iPad or iPad 2 but I don't think this would make a difference. Any help would be much appreciated. Very frustrated at this point.
    Thank you,
    Carl

Hey, I had some issues but I finally figured it out thanks to this article: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-use-keynote-to-control-keynote-on-ios-mac/
Basically, you find the remote (let's say your iPhone) while your iPad has a presentation active then go to Presentation Tools on said iPad and link your iPhone. Your iPhone has to be searching for a device after you tap "Add Device."
