Connect old F2280 to new laptop

I have been using a F2280 All in One printer for 6 years on Dell windows XP.  This laotop is  longer used.  I wish to connect this printer to new Dell Inspiron 3521 i3 laptop using  Windows 8.1 x 64 bits.   How can I do this, please?  I have original CD but product has been updated several times and will be out of date.  Please explain simply as I am elderly and not v.computerate literate.
Many thanks
Dolly

Hello again nolleee,
The link that I originally gave you for the Full Feature Software and Drivers is the only driver package that is available for this unit and the operating system you are using.
The only other suggestion I would have (This is only a suggestion NOT a fix) would be to disconnect the usb cable, uninstall the software and drivers and then reboot the computer.  When the computer is back on, reconnect the usb cable and attempt to add a printer in the Devices and printers menu.
If you are still having issues, I would then suggest contacting HP Total Care direct by clicking the following link.
Thanks once again for your time.

  • How can I delete my old Laptop from my iPhone (iTunes Wifi Sync) and connect it to my new Laptop

    HI;
I have an iPhone 4S Factory Unlocked, up to date (iOS 6.0.1). I connect it to my Laptop named "The Love" via USB and opend iTunes and checked Sync over Wifi to enable this feature. Everything works great.
After a couple months I sold my Laptop and bought a new Laptop named "Raid", I did the smae steeps, connect it to my new Laptop via USB and opend iTunes and I checked Syn over Wifi to enable this feature and hit Apply, also I did the sync via USB cable and it works fine.
Now I want to sync via wifi, so I went to General --> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync --> here my iPhone still showing "Sync will resume when "The Love-PC" is available", Okay I sold it!! What I will do! I stock! does this mean I will need to find my old Laptop and buy it back????!!!!
I tried to do those steeps over and over, same result, my iPhone stock with the my old Laptop, It seems my iPhone liked my "The Love" Laptop
    My question is:
How do I delete this setting? and connect it to my new Laptop?
    All the best;

Well " even if I plugged it via usb" I meant that I did all the spteps, connect my iPhone via USB, Open iTunes, Check on Sync this device via WiFi, click on Sync, Unplug the iPhone.
Again I DO NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE USB OR SYNC MY IPHONE THROUGH ITUNES VIA USB
I HAVE AN ISSUE TO SYNC MY IPHONE VIA WIFI (WIRELESSLY), THAT IS MEAN SYNC MY IPHONE WITH ITUNES WITHOUT USING USB CABLE.

I am doing all the steps but mu iPhone alwayes shows this:

  • I transfered all my music over from my old to my new laptop but my playlists are not there. How do i get my playlists?

I transfered all my music over from my old to my new laptop but my playlists are not there. How do i get my playlists?

You need to transfer the iTunes library, not just the music.
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to new computer.
    Launch iTunes.
This is all you need to do

  • Need help transferring itunes library from old computer to new laptop

    Hello,
I recently purchased a new laptop and am having trouble getting my library to transfer to my new laptop, i followed this step by step process http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329?viewlocale=en_US and in the end ended up with no music on my ipod and no music in the itunes library on my new computer...
So then i went into Itunes on the new computer and clicked import library under File, so i found the Music folder that i had transferred over and it imported the music but all my playlist were not there, just songs. So i ended up syncing my ipod back to my old computer so i would get all the songs and playlist back on as it was originally before this whole process...
My desktop runs XP while my new laptop runs Vista Ultimate w/ SP1 home edition, dont know if this matters...
So not sure where i should go from here, i have already Authorized my laptop with the itunes store , i was thinking of uninstalling Itunes on my laptop and starting over from scratch, will this help?
BTW when i did the original transfer i used my Ipod as the hard drive as it had plenty of storage room left on it, i do have access to a 250GB external HD i was thinking of using that and trying that to transfer the library...
So if anyone can tell me how to transfer my Itunes library from old comp to new laptop it would be greatly appreciated...

The method you used should work if followed exactly.
The key points are - is your music all together? It must all be in the iTunes Music folder in the iTunes folder.
When you copy the iTunes folder to the iPod you get the library database with your playlists and the iTunes Music folder containing the music files.
Since you had trouble doing this with the iPod, why not try copying your iTunes folder to the external drive.
The method is identical the one for the iPod except you leave out the iPod specific stuff.
You install iTunes on the new PC, then you drag the newly created iTunes folder out the Music folder to the desktop, then you copy the iTunes folder from the EHD into Music, replacing the one you dragged out.
When you have done that, you need to check that your account has full control of your iTunes folder - Vista is fussy about that - you will not be able to edit track info if you don't have full control.

  • How do I transfer Photoshop Elements 10 from old computer to new laptop

How do I transfer Photoshop Elements 10 from old computer to new laptop?

You need to installed it in the same way as you did on old machine.
If you like to save one instance of the license then please do de-activate while uninstalling.
Or if you have already used your "Two" instances of installation then you must need to de-activate one of the machine while
uninstalling so it will release the instance for new installation.

Was the content not synced with a computer previously?  If it was, simply re-sync with that computer.
Syncing an iDevice to a new computer will do exactly what you describe above as this is not the way to move content to a new computer.

  • ITunes musical library located on a WD 2TB, ext. drv. Computer destroyed by virus; ED survived. Bought new laptop, connected ED. Not able to see library. ED shows as 'G:' 95% full. How can I reconnect my old library to new laptop?

I had my iTunes musical library on an ext. drv. WD 2TB, ‘MY BOOK ESSENTIAL'. Three weeks ago, my computer was infected by a virus that fried it. It did not affect the external drive. I bought a new computer: a laptop, Dell XPS, Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU, Windows 7 Home Premium. I have been able to connect the WD external drive; however, I am not able to see the musical library in my iTunes or Explorer. ‘My Computer’ shows the external drive as ‘G:’ 95% full. It reads, 32.1 GB free of 1.36 TB. When I click on the drive to see its contents, it shows nothing. The library in iTunes also shows nothing. Can anyone help, please? How can I reconnect my old musical library to my new laptop and iTunes? Many thanks.

Hmm, viruses don't generally "fry" drives. They can make bootable operating systems not bootable, hide data, and corrupt executable files. Software can potentially wipe all the data from the drive but it shouldn't be able to physically damage the drive. Bah! What's done is done.
As to unhiding your files assuming they are just hidden....
Hit Start > Run, type in CMD and press enter. Type the following at the prompt and then press enter:
    attrib -h -s -r g:\*.* /d /s
This tells windows to clear the hidden, read-only, and system flags from all files on the drive, assuming of course your profile has the power to "see" the files and change them.
If that doesn't work then you may need to take ownership of the drive first. The drive may have security settings that make it "belong" to an account on your old system. Right-click on the drive in Windows Explorer and click Properties. Click the Security tab, the Advanced button, the Owner tab, then the Edit tab. Make yourself the owner, then you can make any other changes to the security settings you want to back on the Permissions tab. (If you can't change the owner log out and log back in as Administrator). For iTunes your account (or everyone) and SYSTEM need full access to all files. Any changes you make should be applied to "This folder, subfolders and files", should be inheritable and you should also replace the permissions on all child objects.

  • My old computer crashed, new laptop, syncing my ipod so that it doesn't delete all my songs from my ipod?

My old computer recently crashed, and so i've bought this windows laptop (which i'm using now).
I have an iPod classic (latest model) and am fearful that if I retrieve my account on my new laptop, it'll delete all the information, 1,3000 songs and multiple videos from my iTunes, leaving my iPod with barely nothing. If this happens, i'll probably end of selling it, becuase this was not my fault, i love my music and i've not the time to replenish my library with that many songs, which has taken me a year to compile.
Can anyone help me, if so I would much appreciate it?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.  Use your backup copy to put everything on the new computer.

  • Migrating old information to new laptop with new drive

I tried searching for this but also wanted a specific answer.
Here's what happened: my old Macbook (first version, from 2006) failed, but I had all its information backed up on to a Time Machine drive. The drive was a firewire drive. When my 2006-era Macbook failed, I bought a new one. However, the new laptop did not have a firewire port. I used the laptop for a few months until I could afford a new, USB external drive. Now, I've got the new computer (with some new information but no firewire port), my old firewire hard drive -- with info, and a new USB hard drive, that is completely blank.
What I intended to do was find a Mac at my university's library with both a USB and firewire drive and copy all the information to my new drive from the old one. From that point, can I just use migration assistant to merge my new Macbook and the old Macbook's information? Will it make more sense to load any new documents on my Macbook onto a flash drive, wipe its hard drive, and restore from the old Time Machine backup then add the information from the flash drive?
I don't want to have two separate accounts, either.
Thanks for your help with this annoying dilemma! I miss all my old music, photos, and videos...

    plourens wrote:
Thanks for the information. Instead of using a flash drive, would it work for me to partition the drive and place any new information on the second partition of my external hard drive?
Sure (if there's room). See #3 in [Formatting, Partitioning, Verifying, and Repairing Disks|http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/DU.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Using Snow Leopard+ forum).
If there isn't enough room to make the partition, but enough total space, you can put the files in the same partition as your backups.
You must be careful, though, as that isn't generally a good idea. You must leave enough room for Time Machine to operate; it doesn't need a lot, perhaps a hundred MBs, but if you fill it past that, your backups will crash before they can start deleting old backups to make room for new ones.
Similarly, do not add anything that way while a backup is running.
And, be very careful not to move, change, or delete anything in your backups via the Finder, as that can corrupt them.

  • How to transfer iTunes music from old computer to new laptop

I just got a new laptop and I want to know if its possible to transfer my music from my old computer to my new laptop. I have already bought so much music, and I don't think I should be required to buy it again. How do I transfer the music to my new laptop from my old computer?

  • Old CS5 On New Laptop?

I bought a new laptop, win7 64 bit, and would like to install my CS5 on it.    CS5 was an update, and I have it running now on two machines, one of which has quit working.  I have the product key and also the product key from the CS3 that I upgraded from.  I cheated on Elements by purchasing EL11 and doing a clean install to replace EL8 on the old machine.  Also, I purchased LR4 and did a clean install, upgrading from LR3.  I just cannot justify at this time the $199 to upgrade to CS6.

You might have to deactivate any existing CS5 installations before you can actvate one for a new (thrid) machine.  If you do not have the original discs for installing CS5 on the new machine, you should be able to acquire a trial version using the link below and use your current serial numbers to activate.

  • Can't transfer music library from old desktop to new laptop computer

I am hoping this is an easy fix, but I have I-Tunes and all my music originally loaded on my desktop.
I just rcvd a new laptop and loaded I-Tunes onto it, then plugged in my I-Pod and it won't allow me to sync on both computers are the same time
"This I-pod is synched with another I-Tunes library. I-pod can only be synched with one librart at a time"
and it wants me to wipe out the all my music and synch with the new computer
    1) Can I have the same music on both computers and connect my I-pod?
    2) How can I just dump all my music on the I-pod to my laptop w/o a external drive or something like that??? Can I use the i-pod to do this?
    Thanks
