Connect third party monitor to iMac thunderbolt

Trying to help my brother find some answers. He is going to purchase the newest iMac and knows that a monitor can be connected via the Thunderbolt port, but needs to know what kind of adapter he might need to connect a third party monitor.
Any help will be appreciated

He needs a Mini Display Port to either VGA, DVI or HDMI adapter. The MDP and Thunderbolt connections are the same size. If he wan't a really nice external monitor tell him to get the Apple Thunderbolt Display. Those retail for $999 but can be found on Apple's refurbished store for $849 which is a good buy.

A mini display port cable to either HDMI, VGA or DVI would be fine. The best way to to purchase is to buy it directly from Apple that way you know you are getting a high quality cable that has been well tested.
BTW, your manual says:
One or two Thunderbolt ports (high-speed data, video, and audio)
Connect Thunderbolt-compatible devices for high-speed data transfer, or connectan external display that uses Mini DisplayPort. You can purchase adapters to connectdisplays that use DVI, HDMI, or VGA. The 21.5-inch iMac has one Thunderbolt portand 27-inch iMacs have two.

TFS 2013 MSSCCI Provider, it support the PowerBuilder 11.5, please confirm that. And you need installed the VS 2013 or Team Explorer 2013 on the same client.

Any text log file scraping monitoring solution can key off of the ggserr.log looking for key words such as ERROR and WARNING.
We will be releasing in the coming months OGG Monitor, which will have SNMP traps built in.

ITunes connect third party quesiton.

When submitting there's a new question, alongside with the one for the encryption:
"Does your app contain, display or access third-party content?"
I guess showing ads means I should check "Yes", but I checked "No".
Should showing ads be checked as "Yes" and how to correct the answer?
I rejected the binary in order to get trough the process again, but now it shows only the question about the encryption.

Connect my HD Monitor to iMac ?

I want to connect my HD monitor to my iMac, I have used a mini display to HMMI lead I got from ebay but with little success?
I found the signal from my mac to my monitor very intermittent some times it works but most times Not. I found that when my monitor woke up it would find my mac but it I select the HDMI connection from the list it wouldnt?
Whats the best way to get this to work?

i read that you need a mini-DVI to dvi adaptor then a DVI to HDMI adaptor. I also am trying to decide which way to go. I was going to try just the mini-dvi to hdmi but if you say it doesnt work then maybe I'll try this other way.

Problem Connecting Third Party Driver to UMI-7772

Hi All,
I am having a few problems in connecting my third-party servo-driver (Higen FDA-5020) to UMI-7772, PXI-7350 and PXI-8106. My problem is stated below:
1. During trial (i.e. before my programing), is the switches of Fault, Enable and Limit LED on UMI-7772 needs to be Active High or Active Low?
2. When I try to communicate from MAX by enabling the Axis 1, the "Disable" LED on axis 1 light up RED. Is this means that Axis 1 is "Enable" as red mean "NOT" and red disable mean "NOT-DISABLE"?
3. When I try to interact with my driver via MAX (the interactive option in MAX), the "Motion Function Execution Status" stated "Successful (No Error)" but the servo-motor is standing still. During the execution, Axis Status are showing red light on "Both limit switches are active" and "Home switch is active". Is there any effect on the interaction I am trying to do?
4. How can I control the Digital I/O in MAX? Or I can only control it through LV? and How can I control via LV? Will LV sense the Digital I/O itself?

Found the problem: it seems that the wire diagrams was wrong. After checking the resistance between the wires I founded that the 2 sets of wires per phase were Blue-White-Green and Red-Black-Orange, with White and Black being center tap, thanks to this NI page

Since updating to mavericks, iMac has been crashing. 24 mb ram 16 are third party. Configuration is correct.

Since the solman reload monitoring data in CCMS, you need to make sure that your CCMS can monitor the third party software/hardware via CCMS agent.
I suggest you to check the ADM106 training documents for CCMS configuration.

Trouble connecting 3rd party monitor to MacBook..."OSD Locked" message?

I am trying to connect my LG monitor to my MacBook air. This monitor worked w/the last MacBook I had (2008 model) and yes, I am using the right cable. The background on the monitor is the same as my MacBook (starry galaxy image) however there are no files. When i tap any button on the monitor (e.g., menu, engine, source, auto/set) I get the message "OSD Locked". I have a feeling this is a setting from my MacBook. Any ideas?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like everything is up and running, your preferences may just be set to Extend your Desktop (as opposed to mirroring). Try configuring your preferences to mirror:

TS1843 I have a third party router, my IMAC keeps on dropping out when used wirelessly, I also have a laptop ,printer and ipod, I dont loose connectivity with them. My IMAC sits right next to the router, no problems when hardwired. need suggestions. t

Losing connection to 2nd monitor when iMac sleeps

I have a 2nd monitor connected to my 21" iMac (late 2013) with Mavericks via displayport/thunderbolt port to HDMI. I had the same one with the same link connected to my old 2010 Macbook Pro, and I never saw this.
What happens is when the computer goes to sleep, all of the windows on the second screen move to the iMac, and my Wacom tablet even goes from being mapped to ONLY my second monitor to being only mapped to the iMac!
This is kind of driving me crazy, and I have searched and Googled and just can't find a solution.
Any ideas would be rad. Thanks.

Connect a Professional Monitor to iMac

I am color correcting a movie I made and I need to connect a Professional CRT Monitor to my iMac. How do I do this? Most CRT Monitors connect via BNC cables. Is there a way to connect to my Mac with a converter? If not what other connections do I need to look for? I work at a TV station and I can borrow just about any monitor imaginable. But the CRT ones are sitting around.

The +iMac (Flat Panel)+ 700/800MHz can only output VGA (15pin D-Sub). The +iMac (Flat Panel)+ 1.0GHz/1.25GHz can output either VGA or S-Video/Composite Video. All of which require a $19 MiniVGA adaptor from the AppleStore. Without a firmware hack the +iMac (Flat Panel)+ can only mirror the internal display exactly so you don't gain much advantage in connecting a second display. The firmware hack doesn't work on the 15" models.
As well as the Apple MiniVGA to VGA adaptor you'll need a VGA to BNC cable like this:
