Connect to Dropbox - Files don't show

Hi, my Filemanager does not show Dropbox-Files and Folders anymore. It broke a couple of days ago. The Connect to Dropbox-App shows all information right, but I can't access files or folders - the screen is just empty just as my Dropbox is empty.
I already tried:
rebooting the deivce
loggin in and out of Dropbox
uninstalling and reinstalling Connect to Dropbox
deleting recently created files
FYI: The Connect to OneDrive-App works without problems and shows all the files in the finder.

I'm on a iMac with a 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 processor running 10.6.8. I build websites using Dreamweaver CS4 and all my media files are FLV files. I've noticed that none of the media shows on a iPhone, iPad, etc. Is there a media file format that I can use that works for browsers and will show on iPhones, iPod, etc.? I also noticed that SWF file don't show either. Any direction would be helpful.

Those are Flash content types. Flash doesn't exist on iOS, and won't exist on any future mobile platforms, according to Adobe.

Text files don't show on fillable form after saving on a mac

I have a fillable form with text and check fileds on it, if a user filles it on a windows pc and saves it all works fine, but if a user does the same thing on a MAC then the text fields don't show.

Avoid touching any PDF (in particular any PDF form file) with Preview.

MP3 files don't show album artwork unless I move them to another directory. Why?

I am running 10.8.3.
If I navigate to a folder that has an MP3 file in it, the album art doesn't show in Finder or in Quick Look or Cover Flow. If I move that file, anywhere, it shows correctly. There is one artist that I had spelled the name incorrectly, and now that the two albums from that artist are relocated to a new folder because the name changed, the artwork is fine for them.
I have read some other threads about people having trouble embedding artwork, or it not showing up in Finder properly but the issue doesn't seem to be the same as what I am experiencing. I know the images are embedded because of the fact that when I move them around, they work perfectly.
Is there a cache that can be cleared regarding this perhaps?
Does anybody have any ideas?

If the album art is embedded in the MP3 file in an APIC frame of an id3v2 tag then the music player will display it.

Remote Files don't show up

I go to the Window drop-down menu and choose
Workspace Layout, Dual Screen. The local files show up on the right
window. I click on the icon of the two plugs on the toolbar to
bring up the Remote Sites in the left window, and the Background
File Activity says that it's connecting to my website and the icon
of the two plugs show that they are connected. But no files show up
in the Remote Site on the left window of the screen. I've done this
many times before and it worked fine. Now I'm travelling and in new
places, and suddenly it won't work for me. I've tried it in three
different locations. I'm using Dreamweaver 8 with a Mac OS X
10.4.8.

Files don't show in finder

I've just been trying to help a friend who has a peculiar problem. He has a USB connected external drive on which Get Info shows (approx) 350GB used 150GB available but when he double clicks the drive icon on the desktop the resulting finder window is empty whichever view option he chooses. There are no icons or file names showing at all. The drive is formatted to Mac OS X Journeled (extended) and if we create a test document in Text Edit and copy it to the drive, that shows perfectly. Verifying the drive with Disk Utility suggests the drive is fine.
He can't remember what is on the drive but thinks it's photographs he downloaded to both the internal drive and the external from an SD card via a card reader. If that's correct, those same photos show OK on the internal hard drive, If they are in folders, the folder names will be in the format 2012-08-09 so very unlikely to start with a full stop and be hidden.
I can't think of anything that can stop normal folders/files appearing in finder - can you?

QT files don't show in explorer

I have searched this forum, and others have had similar problems, but I haven't seen any solutions - are there any?
I maintain a website for our school, we are trying to make use of qt for audio and video formats. The success rate is poor. All my tests in various file formats eg mp3, mov, mp4, mp4 (H.264), 3gp, flv, all work well in Safari and Firefox.
In IE6 some show up and some don't. For example a 3gp movie straight from phone, plays back on all browsers. But if I use qt to just take a clip of the 3gp file, and save in qt 3gp, it doesn't play in IE or in Firefox for windows machines.
It's driving me crazy! I am sick of getting great results on the Mac side, but this incompatibility on the Windows side. Sadly most viewers of our site will have IE, so we need QT to work globally.
Is it just me, or is this a problem? Can I work around it? Is there a format that will allow retention of quality and small file size at the same time, using qt?

I don't know what that code is that you've pasted. Maybe a Perl script from a PHP file?
But it does use QTSRC (as opposed to SRC) when it does the voodoo it does.
So. It should call any QuickTime format into the browser window in the space you've provided.
M$ has "tweaked" just about all the code used in any file format used in Web pages. All of the other browsers use the old "Netscape" style browser plug-in but M$ still uses ActiveX so we Mac users must write special code to first "call" it and then more code to avoid ActiveX "security issues" and alert dialogs.
I've had to modify (along with millions of other Web page authors) all of my pages that include QT content to a newer "javascript" and "object:" tag code just so those M$ viewers can see my 5 year old pages without a bunch of alerts and warnings.
I can only suspect that your "blog" software is writing bad code (doubtful if it works using a Mac and Safari) or that your end users still have some "control" even though you're forcing QuickTime be used via the qtsrc tag.
I'll bet it is a MIME type issue from your server (those that actually host your files and pages).
Maybe a call to them could help sort things out?

Can only load files to internet or email by searching for name, files don't show up in window

To anyone who can assist me,
When I go to load something onto the internet from my computer - let's say a movie to YouTube or a file into an email - it brings up the options menu (with my desktop and folders all available on the left hand menu) but doesn't ever show any files. It just shows a turning wheel and loads until you click out of it.
The only way it will show a file is if I repeat the process, but just start typing a file name into the search command. Shows up every time then. Thoughts?

You have 'all items' selected at the top of the Kindle app ?
You can delete the book via the file sharing section in iTunes, just select it and press the delete button on your keyboard and you should get an option to delete it.
Have you tried emailing it to the email address that is associated with your kindle ereaders/apps ? Tap the cogwheel icon at the botton right of the Kindle screen to open its settings and you should see a email address - you can then try emailing the book to that and see if it appears on the device/cloud

When I download files now, the files don't show up in the downloads. How can I fix this?

My download status bar has vanished. Anything I download does'nt show up anywhere. Still downloads files at times. Very frustrating.

Files don't show up as whole

seems like anytime I open an exel file or a numbers file that was "saved as" when it opens I get all the sheets on the left but I cant get the entire thing to show up as a whole??

Have you got Numbers set as Print View which splits all the sheets into pages.
If so try > View > Hide print view or use the toggle view page icon on the bottom of the window.

Downloaded PDF files don't show description or "i" link to summary

I am including a PDF file in a podcast. The xml has both an <itunes:subtitle> section and an <itunes:summary> section for the PDF <item>.
Before the PDF file is downloaded in iTunes the subtitle shows in the description column and the summary is available via the "i" link on the right side of the description column.
After the PDF file is downloaded in iTunes both the subtitle/description text and the "i" link disappear.
There seems to be no way to access that information once the PDF is downloaded. The same issue does not affect audio or video files.
Does anyone know if this is by design (why?) or is it a bug in iTunes?

All you can do, is tick boxes and the dimension boxes are all ticked - you can see so in the screenshot otherwise they wouldn't show up. I also unticked "hide empty fields" because otherwise, it won't show them either. Yesterday I went through the entire list to see if there was more meta data that contained dimensions but there's none.

PDF files don't show dimensions data

I work in a printing office and we have a file server full of PDF files (made with Illustrator CS1-> CS4). Before, we used a custom search program to search for PDF files but we came to the conclusion that it would be handier to use Bridge to search, because we'd get a thumbnail AND get the additional metadata (allowing us to sort according to size, colours, etc.)
The problem is, when I display a list of all our PDFs in Bridge, the "Dimensions in cm" in Metadata is empty! The only dimensions I see, are in pixels which, as you can imagine, is useless to us. Despite this, Acrobat correctly shows the file size in milimeters as you can see below (left screenshot). It remains a mystery to me why Bridge (made by the same company!) isn't capable of displaying this info which acrobat can clearly extract.
Is there a way to fix this? It seems like a glaring oversight if not - the option is clearly there but none of our PDFs show it.

Nikon D4 raw files don't show on iMac with os 10.6.8 Finder.

Hello, I am using an iMac with OSX 10.6.8. I can't view my Nikon D4 raw files on my Finder.
I have tried to install the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.10, but got a massage saying I can't install because I don't have Iphoto 9 or Ilife 11.
All I want, is to see the tumbnail preview of my Nikon D4 .NEF (RAW) files on my finder.
How do I do this?

Quit iTunes.
Copy the entire /MusiciTunes/ folder from internal drive to external drive.
Hold Option & launch iTunes.
Selelect Choose library... and select the iTunes folder you copied to the external.
After you make sure everything works, you can delete /MuusiciTunes/ folder.

New files don't show

I'm hoping someone can help me.
I've just had my macbook in for repairs, and they told me the motherboard needed replacing etc.
Anyway, I got it back today and everything seems fine except one small thing.
When I download a new file to my desktop or anywhere else for that matter it doesn't show up. If I search for it in spotlight it will find the files where they should be, or if I try to open the file through a prog. it can also see it, but that is the only way. I have also gone into the info and clicked "show extension" and that seems to work, but only for that individual file and not all of the invisible files as a whole.
Any idea what's happening and how I can fix it so that new files I add to my machine show up?

Imported PSD files don't show layers

Hello Touch-Community,
Via Creative Clouse, I imported several PSD files on my iPad3 who consist of several layers. However, independ which file I import these PSD files open without layers. That is, they open displaying the layers who were enabled (visible) when they were saved in Photoshop.
Does this means I only can create layers in Touch, but not work with already existing layers from non-Touch PSD files?

Correct. (Kinda sorta.) You can export PS Touch projects as PSD and PSDX files into Photoshop CC/CS6 and have their layers preserved, but if you import a PSD file into PS Touch, the layers will be flattened. I imagine this was done as a failsafe mechanism. (PS Touch works with 12 layers max, versus the thousands of layers available in Photoshop CC/CS6.)
Oddly, once you open a PSDX file in Photoshop CC/CS6, you cannot save it as a PSDX; you're forced into saving as another compatible format like PSD. (I'm thinking this was another failsafe mechanism since PS Touch does not support features such as adjustment layers.)
PSDX files can be uploaded and downloaded from Creative Cloud to PS Touch and have their layers preserved.
