Connect to Maxos X 10.4.11 Server from Win XP via Interent

I have a Windows XP machine I am trying to connect to a Macos X server running 10.4.11.
I have no problem connecting through my Mac Via FTP or AFP:// but can't connect through windows. Have tried ftp in Add Network place. I am the system admin for the MacOS server. I believe everything is set up properly, but can't figure out why I can't connect. I have also tried SmartFTP on the windows machine and this does not connect properly either. However Fetch works flawlessly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

  • How to connect to External Database, if say SQL server, from Adobe LC

    Hi everyone,
    I have one application, which needs to save and load data from/to an external database,SQL server.I have no idea on how to implement this.But with my knowledge I managed to create DSs and using new data connection wizard, some how I managed to list the fields in the Data View.BUT i still worrying about the way i did is rigt or wrong?.. how can i save and load data to sql server from Adobe LC..Please help me
    Thanks,
    Vinod

    You created the data source on the app server which is the first step. Now you can use the JDBC service to query the database:

  • Unable to connect to Exchange 2013 by the PS Script from Win 8.1

    Good day to all
    There is the  corporate Exchange 2013 server in main office  and  local Windows 8 (and 8.1 too) and Windows 7 Enterprise workstations in regional office in one AD domain.
    I am local admin in this regional office and one of my duty is work with my part of Exchange accounts. So I do it with PowerShell Win ISE environment .
    I make initial connect to Exchange server by this script (running in Win ISE with admin rights)
    $UserCredential = Get-Credential
    $Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri http://exchange.server/PowerShell/ -Authentication Kerberos -Credential $UserCredential
    Import-PSSession $Session
    On Windows 8 WS it issued an error with a such strange message :
    New-PSSession : [exchange.server] Connecting to remote server exchange.server  failed with the following error message : The WinRM client sent a request to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually
    returned by a HTTP server that does not support the WS-Management protocol.
    But if I try to run this script on Windows 7 Ent workstation in a same environment (Win ISE) I  havent got any errors and I can to connect with corporate server.
    All of these workstations (Win 8, Win 7 ), have got  same versions of PS (4.0) .  There is no firewalls between server ans workstations . Local firewall on Win 8 WS disabled .
    Because I am local admin  I can't  rule by the  Exchange Server console, accordingly to corporate policy. I cant reach it anymore . But I think that problem is deep in Win 8 settings.
    So why I can't connect to ES from Win8 ? Any help would be appreciated .
    Thanks again.

    Hi,
    Since it works fine with same command in Windows 7, this issue may be caused by Windows 8.1 client side.
    According to the error message, I find an blog for Exchange server side. For your reference:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2010/02/04/3409289.aspx
    Just in case, please open IIS manager and switch to Default Web Site. Right-click Default Web Site, and then click Edit Bindings to double check the configuration for HTTP:
    1. Make sure the value of Hostname is empty.
    2. Ensure the port is 80.
    For your question, I have test this command in Windows 8, it works fine.
    Is there any extra software installed on it? please try to run Windows with clean boot, also we can try this within a new Windows.
    Besides, please try to telnet port 5985 and manually open this port in firewall ports.
    Thanks

  • Starting event on a server from a STB via return channel - possible?

    Hello!
    I try to create an application in MHP to send an emergency-call via a STB.
    The STB is permanently connected to a server (intranet). Now I want to launch an event (popup-window, playing sounds, etc.) on the server via the STB.
    I thought of RPC, but didn't get it to work.
    I am able to write files on the server (via FTP). Is ist possible to monitor a directory and kick an event if a file is created?
    Thanks for help!

    It's certainly possilbe on the server side. This is more a question of how your server software is implemented and whether doing this imposes too much of a load on your server.
    I'm surprised that you couldn't get RPC to work. The return channel connection in an MHP box should support any IP traffic, although you will have to implement most of the protocol yourself.
    Steve.

  • Query a List of Open WMI connections on a server from a remote system

    We are monitoring a specific windows service on a server using Sitescope remote monitoring. The sitescope system uses a WMI method to Check if the service on a specific server is up or not. Initially it works like a charm but over time the WMI connections from
    sitescope time out and we have been told that Sitescope is not closing the WMI connection it opens gracefully and the open connections pile up.
    I am looking for a way to list open WMI connections to a specific service and/or server from a remote system and a way to kill those connections via a scheduled PowerShell (or batch/perl) script. I was able to list specific classes by -list parameter
    of the Get-WmiObject cmdlet
    but am unable to determine which class will give me the information that I require and the method to kill those connections.

    Sitescope is not closing the WMI connection it opens gracefully and the open connections pile up.
    1. It's not clear what "not closing the WMI connection it opens gracefully" means. WMI is a management technology that uses DCOM to connect to remote computers. (Is it really a question about DCOM?)
    2. It's not clear what specifically "open connections pile up" means and what problem(s) it causes.
    3. This is really a support question for that software's developer, not a question about WMI.

  • Problems connecting to iChat 4 on the server from a computer using iChat 3.

    Is this possible? I am an intern at my school and I am facing this problem. What is happening is we are testing the Leopard server on new iMac 20" and we set up an iChat server. We can log onto the iChat server from the server iMac. But when we attempt to access the 10.5 server from our computers using Tiger (10.4.10), it says that we can not connect to the server. We are using the same user name and config as on the 10.5 server Any ideas?
    This is the error message I receive when I attempt to connect to the iChat 4 10.5 server from a computer using Tiger (10.4.10):
    Could not connect to host "server name here"
    We currently have another iChat server set up on a server using Tiger and set up the 10.5 iChat server in the same way, yet it still will not work.

    I too ran into the problem of iChat on 10.4.x, along with Adium, not succeeding at connecting to the Jabber process on MOSXS v.10.5.1, but simply editing the /etc/jabberd/c2s.xml file to comment out the "gssapi" authentication fixed it up swell. In our case, Active Directory isn't an issue since we're an all-Mac shop.
    Here's the relevant section excerpted from the file:
    <!-- Available authentication mechanisms -->

    <!-- These are the traditional Jabber authentication mechanisms.
    Comment out any that you don't want to be offered to clients.
    Note that if the auth/reg module does not support one of

  • Not able to connect to a queue under a foreign server.

    Not able to connect to a queue under a foreign server.
    I'm using WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.3.0. The foreign server is running, and can be pinged from this local server. Also the port where queue resides on foreign server, can be accessed through the my local server.

    Thanks René van Wijk for the reply.
    I have a foreign server created in my local server, where i have already given the provider URL. This foreign server has the one queue and one queue connection factory under it to which I'm referring to.
    Under JNDI tree i noticed this, for the queue(NOTIFY_QUEUE) i'm trying to read from one of the EJB:
    This page displays details about this bound object.
    Failed to create InitialContext using factory specified in hashtable
    Also,etc/hosts has already these IP entries. Even after hardcoding the provider URL its throwing following:

  • Server Connections Interrupted - Mountain Lion, latest client and server upgrade

    Hello,
    I have seen several errors of a similar kind with no definite fix anywhere on here, so I thought I would post this.
    We are running a network with a Mountain Lion Server on a Mac Mini, connected to a router for internet access and connected to a local network for client computers. All the clients are running the latest version of Mac OS X Mountain Lion and are connecting to remote home directories on the server. They also use several group directories.
    As of late, they have been getting the message: "Server Connections Interrupted. Ignore / Disconnect all" concerning their group volumes.
    I haven't been able to find anything in the logs indicating why this happens, or how to fix it, or why it started appearing.
    What have people experienced out there? It appears on all sorts of user accounts, on different computers in different areas of the workplace.
    / Z.

    Additional data:
    There is no WIFI enabled on the network, all is networked using ethernet.
    There's a Time Capsule on the Server, which backs up the server data regularly. This seems to be connected one way or another from the threads I've read, but those are from aprox. two years ago while this started happening recently.

  • Error while connecting to MDM server from Webdynpro

    Hi ,
       I am trying to connect to MDM server (5.5 SP04 no patches) through a webdynpro application . The following is the piece of code that I am using as a test .
    CatalogData CatalogData = new CatalogData();
        int resultLogin = 0;
        try {
              resultLogin = CatalogData.Login("USNOC01AQ05",2005,"Admin","Erico1234","English [US]");
        }catch(Exception e){
              wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueattr("Not Connected");
             //System.out.println("Error while establishing connection");
        if (resultLogin != RC.RC_OK){
              wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueattr("Not Connected");
             //System.out.println("Error logging to the SDM server");
             //System.exit(-1);
         wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueattr("Connected");
        //System.out.println("MDM server connected");
    The import statements are as follows
    import a2i.common.CatalogData;
    import a2i.generated.RC;
    I have put the following jar files in the java build path
    MDM4J
    mdm-admin
    mdm-common
    mdm-core
    mdm-data
    mdm-protocol
    When I deploy my application I get the following error
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: a2i/common/CatalogData
    It can't be determined from the exception chain, which class loader failed to load the above class. But at least the class loader of the current application does not contain a resource with name 'a2i/common/CatalogData'.
    What do you guys think is the problem ?
    Regards
    DeepaK Singh

    Hi ,
       I found a document which says that MDM4J is the legacy API and is considered deprecated .The MDM Java API is the new one .I have both of them in the java build path . I am not sure if this is that cause of the problem .
    Now I had a look at the javadoc for the new API but I am not able to locate the class to obtain a connection to the MDM server from a custom application being built in Netweaver Developer Studio . Can someone help me out with the same ?What would be the code to obtain the connection to the MDM server with the new JAVA API ?
    Regards

    Can anyone please advise what I am doing wrong?

    Hi LowLuster
    Thanks for reply. I am not an expert on these sharing protocols but I think I have turned on SMB sharing but still wont connect. I tried adding netwrik drive by using cntrl K in finder and using smb\\network address but nothing. It is driving me mad!!

  • How to connect to a Sql server from Oracle using db link

    Hi All,
    Does anybody have any idea about how to connect to a sql server from oracle database using db link to syncronize the data? I need to pull the data from Sql server table to Oracle tables and relay messages back to the sql server.
    Thank you,
    Praveen.

    we have 2 products - DG4MSQL and DG4ODBC.
    DG4ODBC is for free and requires a 3rd party ODBC driver and it can connect to any 3rd party database as long as you use a suitable ODBC driver
    DG4MSQL is more powerfull as it is designed for MS SQL Server databases and it supports many functions it can directly map to SQL Server equivalents - it can also call remote procedures or participtae in distributed transactions. Please be aware DG4MSQL requires a license - it is not for free.
    Check out Metalink and you'll find notes how to configure both products.

  • Connect to MS Sql Server from Java Source

    Hi,
    Is there any way I could connect to ms sql server from Java source? I know I can call java source from function thats easy but what I really want is capability to connect to non-oracle(MS SQL server) from my java source and then call it from function.
    I don't know if JDBC driver for SQL server is even installed/available. Is there a way I could find it out form my IDE? I know sqlJ does compile but I have never used sqlj. help!!!

    You'll probably have better luck in a Java forum or a Microsoft forum.

  • Connect to SQL Server from Oracle

    Does Oracle offer any connectivity to NON-Oracle databases such as SQL Server from within the Oracle database itself, similar to a database link ?

    Yes, it's called Heterogeneous Connectivity. Basically how it works is you set up an ODBC data source on the Oracle server
    and need to modify the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files. Once you get it set up it works exactly like a dblink. You should be
    able to find information on it in the Oracle manuals or from Metalink. There's also a Heterogenous Connectivity forum on OTN. If
    you can't find anything let me know and I can send you some documents on how to set it up. I think the hardest part for you might
    be finding a SQL Server ODBC driver for HP-UX.
