Connect to quickbooks

anyone knows how to connect crystal report xi with quickbooks?

Hi krimble18,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you need some assistance with setting up your Deskjet 2554 printer.
I have included the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document for you to follow to install the printer onto your computer.  There is a separate section for each of the supported operating systems.  Please click on your operating system and follow the instructions to connect your printer to your wireless network.
I am presuming that you would like the printer connected to your wireless network to take advantage of some of the mobile features of Quicken 2014.  For support for Quicken 2014 I have included the link to the Quicken Support page.

  • After I got connected with quickbooks online, quickbooks is always open in the left third of my screen. I cannot close it separately from firefox. This does not happen in Internet Explorer. How can I make it go away?

Everything was fine until I tried quickbooks online. Then, suddenly, I have the quickbooks site as an add-on no matter which other site I am visiting. I cannot close it unless I close the mozilla window completely.

If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues.

  • How do you set up Communication between QuickBooks & Acrobat Pro X

How do you Set up your Acrobat Pro X Pdf Form to communicate with Intuit QuickBooks 10?  Is there special formatting that is involved or is all in the field names?  I have a detailed form that I would like to import the data into Quick Books but I seem to be running in circles and not a straight line.  Can you help me in this matter?
Thank you in advance - Badgeteam

    Hi,
We don't have Quickbooks, however having had a look here are some comments:
Acrobat (for Windows) has some Quickbook templates, which are already set up with a data connection to Quickbooks.
You should use these, as their structure is set up for you.
If you open Acrobat, there is an option for Quickbooks from the Forms menu.
When you select a template, you will be prompted to open this in LiveCycle Designer.
Once in LC Designer you can examine the objects and their binding (Object > Binding palette).
You will also notice that there is a script objects "QuickBooks" under variables in the hierarchy. It is highly unlikely that you will need to change anything here, I am just highlighting that it exists and again that it is better to use one of the templates.
As I don't have Quickbooks, I can't be of much help. There is more information available here:

  • Any QuickBooks Web Connector Resources Out There?

    Hi Guys and Gals,
I'm on this kick to make an application for QuickBooks using Oracle's SOA Suite and ADF. I've gone through "Getting Started with Oracle SOA Suite 11gR1 - A Hands-On Tutorial" but I'm only marginally closer to connecting to QuickBooks than when I started.
Does anyone know of a sample application that uses the Web Connector and SOA Suite? There are a couple of applications included with the QuickBooks SDK but they're all straight Java or C# files, which is way beyond me at the moment.
Straight documentation doesn't usually help. I learn best if I can get my hands on something I can tear apart, see how it works, and put it back together.
I'm really quite new to all this, so any relevant feedback would be appreciated. Google, these forums, etc. aren't really returning any hits.
    Thanks,
    Will

This particular thread on our Labs Preview forum has some great mobile examples on it.  You can scan through them and look particularly for the ones made with Preview 7, which functionality-wise was the closest to 1.0.

  • Best Practice - Leopard Server and a Windows Server/Application

Our family owns an accounting practice in Northern California. We all use MacBook Pros running Leopard as our client machines.
Our customers all use QuickBooks for Windows for their accounting software. We currently host and store our customer's QuickBooks company files on a Windows 2003 SBS Server. Our staff connects to the Windows Server to launch QuickBooks and perform our accounting services. We do not use any of the features of the Windows Server besides the ability to log in with multiple user sessions to launch QuickBooks from both internal and remote office locations.
Since we all use MacBook Pros, we'd like to use Leopard Server and implement mail, calendaring, wikis, etc. My dilemma is figuring out if this is technically possible because we need to continue to log into a Windows PC, Server, etc with multiple staff's sessions to perform our accounting services with QuickBooks for Windows.
Can someone suggest a way we can do this? I'm not very technical since I am an accountant! We're hoping this can be done somehow!
Thanks for any suggestion and assistance!
    John

We also have Quickbooks as our legacy Windows app.
Quickbooks files for several companies are stored on our Mac OS X Server, which is accessed by a Windows 2003 Server.
I considered using Parallels or VMware, but the administrative overhead seam excessive. (One installation of Windows is too many). Windows Terminal Services seamed the best fit. Additional client access licenses were required from Microsoft as Windows Server only comes with two administrative RDP licenses.
Our staff and staff from accounting and tax consulting firms connect to Quickbooks on the Windows server via RDP. Internally, we have a couple of diskless thin clients, and iMacs with RDP software installed. Externally, both Windows and Mac OS X clients connect to our 10.5 server IPSec VPN, and then to the Windows server, again via RDP.
Performance is acceptable, as here in Australia we now have ADSL service with 1-2Mbps upstream. On my 23" display (Mac OS X 10.5), situated 1200miles away, a RDP connection at 1280x1024 works seamlessly.
On the Mac Server side, we have recently upgraded to Leopard Server, and thus haven't implmented all the fabulous new features such as calendar sharing and wikis, but we are using network spotlight, and of course the Mail server. Additionally, we have a Fujitsu SnapScan which scans documents that are then automatically OCR'd, and made available by network spotlight. All very cool.
    Further work to be undertaken;
    - Have the Windows server logins authenticate with our Mac OS X Open Directory. Currently account credentials are duplicated.
    - Implement public key cryptography for the VPN, so that we can revoke individual client VPN installations
    - Implement two factor authentication (probably CryptoCard)
    - Batten down the permissions on the Windows server. The default Quickbooks installation required an unacceptable level of user rights.

  • Another UnsatisifedLinkError thread

    Hi all,
I've had a look around and not yet managed to find a solution to my problem. Some of the other issues have been of help with errors I was getting previously, but I'm totally stuck now.
I've got a DLL file supplied by Intuit (company that makes the Quickbooks accounting packages), which connects to the quickbooks application and sends off queries using COM. I also have 2 java classes that I have got to work on their own (in a standalone directory - without putting them in a package).
The problem I am having is when I try to move the java files (without making any changes to them (except adding the a package declaration)) into my web application. The DLL file is in my windows/system32 directory, and I know it's getting loaded because if I remove the file then I get the "can't find dll file" exception message.
This is what is being printed out when i execute the code:
    <Amount>10000.00</Amount>
    </TotalBalanceFilter>
    </CustomerQueryRq>
    </QBXMLMsgsRq>

...Anyone got any ideas why moving the source files to another directory, and adding them into a package would stop this from working? FYI the package I'm adding it to is org.quickbooks.
    Thanks

FYI the package I'm adding it to is org.quickbooks.If the source file you're moving is supposed to link with the DLL, probably because the exported names in the DLL have the package name as part of their name. If you change the package name, the DLL would need to be changed as well.

  • Excel 2013 and QucikBooks 2012

Whenever I click on the Excel link in QuickBooks 2012 Premier, I get an error message "Your system might not have enough memory to use Excel."  I have had this problem for a long time.  I uninstalled and re installed both QuickBooks and
Excel.  I upgraded from Office 2007 to 2013.  I bought a new computer with 16 GB of RAM and an Intel Core i7 CPU.  When I bought the new computer, I mirrored my hard drive and this brought the problem over to the new computer.
I have scoured the QuickBooks forums and no one can help me.  I am sure this is some kind of link problem or registry problem, not a problem with resources.  Any suggestions?  I really need these two programs to link to each other.  Right
now my only option is to create a CSV file, which is slower and does not allow me to create Excel files that are automatically updated with QuickBooks data.

    Hi Sir,
We have no QuickBooks 2012 Premier, thus, we could not test and troubleshoot it.
I recommend you connect the QuickBooks 2012 Premier local provider to get more help.

  • Quickbooks doesnt recognize internet connection if im on firefox

Quickbooks says it requires Microsoft Explorer - i have it on my computer but set up to default to Firefox. If i try to use online help on QB it says it doesn't have an internet connection

Even after the reset the wireless connection is still not working? Might have something to do with the wireless settings on the router. You may try the following wireless settings: ssid/wireless network name: should be unique ; channel: 1,3,6, or 9 ; security mode: wpa2 personal. On the laptop, you may try to delete the profile of the network first then after that, re-connect to the network. For further instructions on how to do that, refer to this link: Removing wireless network profiles or preferred networks. If ever it won't still work, download the firmware for this router from this site: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT54GS. Make sure to select Hardware version 7.0. Proceed then with upgrading the firmware of the router. Instructions on how to upgrade the firmware of the router is here. After the upgrade, do another reset on the router - push and hold the reset button for 30seconds then power it off for 10-15 seconds. Once the power light goes solid, reconfigure the settings of the router again. You may refer to these links for the reconfiguration: Setting up a Linksys router with Cable Internet service & Setting up a Linksys router for DSL Internet connection.

  • Our accountant is no longer allowed access to the QuickBooks file

My main server is Small Business Server 2008 Standard (i.e. pre-R2).  I have another box running Server 2012 that's just acting as a Hyper-V host.  On that server I have three relevant VMs, all Windows 7 Professional and joined to the domain. One
is acting as a host for our QuickBooks file and running some other QuickBooks-related tasks.  The other two are for two people who have to access QuickBooks remotely via RDP (we don't have a Terminal Server license).
Our accountant has been accessing the QuickBooks file for several weeks from an in-office domain-joined Windows 7 Pro computer at the shared resource "\\Quickbooks-host\QuickBooks Data".  Today she's told that she's not allowed to access Quickbooks-host.
In the SBS console she is set for local administrator access to that computer. On Quickbooks-host the "Quickbooks Data" folder is shared with her having explicit full control as <domain>\<user>, both in Properties | Sharing | Share...
and Properties | Sharing | Advanced Sharing ... | Permissions. On Quickbooks-host she is listed in Control Panel | User Accounts | Give other users access to this computer under her user name and my domain as an administrator.  What more could Microsoft
    possibly want?
(BTW, I despise Microsoft's networking permissions management.  Why must I give permission in two places for the same resource, and still have it not work?)
So I tried to get her going for the day by letting her RDP into one of the other two VMs, since the person that regularly uses that is  in the office today.  She's a member of Remote Desktop Users and Mobile Users and a few others. But I can't
connect using her account, with or without a domain and using the real domain name or "quickbooks-host" as the domain name.  SOmetims I just get "login failed", sometimes I get a pop-up "The connection was denied because the user
account is not authorized for remote login".  I can't find any more places to add authorization.
Did I mention how much I despise Windows' control of networking permissions?
So is there any way to convince Windows 7 that our accountant is allowed access?

    Hi,
Glad to see your problem resolved, hope your experience is helpful with others.

  • Cannot connect to the internet Server Essentials '12 R2 DNS issue or driver?

OK so I have a very basic knowledge of Windows Server OS's. I have a HP Pavillion 20 Touchsmart PC that I am trying to use as a Quickbooks Point of Sale PC for a small resale business. I have Comcast Business Class internet. I downloaded the evaluation
version of Windows Server 2012 Essentials R2. I want to use it because it is my understanding that it is far more secure then Windows 7 Pro. I went through the server install and entered the information for the business at first startup and that's it. I did
not change any other settings. I have the computer direct connected via Ethernet cable to the router and it will not connect to the internet. I already tried connecting it directly to the modem to see if maybe the router was the issue but it is getting the
same error. I have my other computer running Windows 8.0 connected to the router via WiFi and it is working fine. I disconnected the WiFi on my computer and plugged in the cable directly to the laptop and was able to connect to the internet. So did some research
on the web and it stated that if under command prompt the IP address started with 192.168.x.x then the computer is assigning the ip address and not the router and that meant it is an issue with the computer not the internet connection. I figured that seeing
as how my laptop is using that internet connection right now, that the internet connection is fine. I was also told it could be a issue with the drivers so i went and tried numerous drivers from different sites (no 3rd party though) ie. HP and Atheros. I also
used a widely popular software called "Driver Pack Solution 13" and it had several drivers that it updated including the WiFi. I am not going to be using the WiFi to connect to the web so that is a non issue the fact that it is not even showing networks
in the area. I need direct connect to be working however. When I run the Network Diagnostic tool it says "Your DNS server might be unavailable". But it obviously sees the DNS because under the ipconfig settings it is showing "wp.comcast.net".
I don't have any other options here I know that there are some settings in the OS that may need to be changed. I have to have this up and running by tomorrow. If there are any Server Guru's out there PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you!

My guess is that your router is not handling DNS forwarding correctly.
Can you do an IPCONFIG /ALL from a command prompt and post the response?
Also, go into PowerShell and enter the following:
    Get-ItemProperty -path hklm:\system\CurrentControlSet\services\dns\parameters
    Post the response.

  • Does anyone know of a simple home accounting application? iBank does not seem to be that user friendly and has more features than I need. I would like something that will connect to my bank and will allow the creation of a budget that is simple.

I am looking for a very simple home accounting application. iBank seems to not be very intuitive and it has more features than I need. I am looking for the ability to create a budget and keep a bank register with the ability to connect to my bank and do updates.

I have a small business, I chose Quickbooks because anything else cost much more. That triggered the hiring of a bookkeeper who knew how to use it. It was not the cheapest choice after all.

  • Remote Desktop on Mac connecting to 2008 R2 Server produces "Connection Reset by Peer" error when idle 20 mins

Mac Clients are running 10.9.2 Mavericks.
Client is Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.05.
Clients are mixed in how they connect to the Windows 2008 R2 server, some
are on Wifi some are on Wired Ethernet.
If you connect to the Server through the RD Client, and get on you work
and if you then say go idle  ( still connected but not doing anything such as
printing from the Server or in an Application on the Server) then after 20 mins it
(the client) throws up a "Connection reset by Peer" error.
You click OK, and then it breaks connection. You can however reconnect without issue.
We have currently about six users who are using the RD Connection to access QuickBooks on
this 2008 R2 server. Four are on Macs and get the errors. Two are on PCs and do not get the errors.
Here is the log file from one of the Macs that had the error:

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
A connection was forcibly closed by a peer. This normally results from a loss of the connection on the remote socket due to a timeout or a restart. On a datastream socket, the
connection was reset. This reset could be generated locally by the network system when it detects a connection failure, or it might be received from the remote host (in TCP terms, the remote host sent an RST packet). This error is also possible on a datagram
socket; for instance, this error could result if your application sends a UDP datagram to a host, which rejects it by responding with an ICMP Port Unreachable.
    Please check the following:
    1. Ping the remote host you were connected to. If it does respond, this problem might have been a transient one (so you can reconnect now), or the server application you were
connected to might have terminated (so you might not be able to connect again).
    2. Type tracert at the command prompt to determine the path to the host you were connected to. This won't reveal too much unless you know the router addresses at the remote end,
but it might help to identify if the problem is somewhere along the way.
    3. Check if there is any related error log in the server side.
    Thanks.

  • Server with Quickbook

    Hey everyone,
I have been paying for a service for 2 years now and was thinking its time to have my own server due to cost in the long run.  The way it works now is I have 4 computers that remote desktop onto a 2008 server and have my own desktop with QuickBooks
    premiere on it.
My question now is what software would I need to use to make this happen.  I'm just looking into the software side not hardware yet.  I was thinking Windows Server 2012 but there are so many versions I have no clue what one is correct.  I
see VM, TS and RDS are ways to go but what one would be the best way.  Any Advice would be great..
    Thanks in Advance
    Ralph

    Hi Ralph,
After going through your scenario here is what you can think of.
As you have 4-5 users to remotely access the software\server, you can go for server 2012 or server 2012 r2 with 5 User CAL (Personally suggest for server 2012 R2 for lot of extra advanced features).
    After that install the Server, join the server and other client computer in domain. Install Remote Desktop Service role (until server 2008 called “Terminal Service”); install RD Connection Broker, RD Session Host, RD Web Access {if want to use RemoteApp feature}
and RD Licensing role. Activate the RD License server and install purchased RDS CAL {for remote access we need “Windows Server CAL + RDS CAL}. Install the required “Quickbook” software on it and ready to go.
Now it’s up to you whether you want to provide RDP access or RemoteApp access to your users, and according to that you can define your strategy.
For Hardware part and for your cost effectiveness, you can need to have one server install Server 2012\R2 on it with Hyper-v role and then create 2 VM (1st as AD DS and 2nd as RDS).
You can get more guide from below link.

  • Printer suddenty wont print Excel or Quickbooks but will print Word docs

    Help!
My HP 6500 just decided to stop printing Excel, Quickbooks and Efax but WILL print Word documents and other files. When I hit "okay" ont he print menu the printer head goes back and forth but no ink comes out. Again, the weird thing is that Word docs are fine and print out.
I have downloaded the driver software twice and turned printer on and off and unplugged it from back of machine.
    Help

    Hi @Salsify,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see that your HP Deskjet 3050a will print an internet page but not any documents on Windows 7. I am sorry to hear this but happy to help!
How is the printer connected? Wireless or USB?
Are you able to make standalone copies with the printer? Copy Text or Mixed Documents.
In the meantime, I would recommend to try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens!
Hope to hear from you soon!

  • QuickBooks Enterprise W/Crystal Reports

I am using Crystal Reports 2008 with Quickbooks Enterprise 8.0.  The ODBC which was provided free from Flexquarters works fine against one company file.  Since I am running 2 different companies out of quickbooks I would like to create some combined reports which run against both data sources at once.  When I try to add the second data source (the second Quickbooks comapny database) I get an ODBC error.  How do I combine these two data sources into one report?

You can introduce a subreport in the main report and connect the second database to this subreport.
With regards to placing the subreport in the main report, that will depend on howyou want the data to show up finally.
Let me know your view on this.
    Thanks
