when you installed the program asks me to validate the serial number and validate and says give me connect to the internet to validate the serial number

You need to contact Adobe directly using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
1. Adobe Photoshop Elements
2. Adobe ID, and signing-in
3. Click on the blue button: Still need help? Contact us – then click the area marked chat 24/7, then click “start chat ”

    I have checked the firewall and security and privacy settings and allowed every program and site I believe are relevant.  I have six days remaining to validate my program.  Is there something else I can do to allow the connection?  Validating offline does not seem to be an option as the notification is basically devoid of links.

    Thanks for your advice.  Renaming the hosts file seems to have worked - I have exported a clip and it does not have a watermark.
    Do I restore the hosts file to the original state?
    Another problem is when I click on the Help button I cannot connect to the online Help site and others as it says I have no internet connection - which is incorrect.

  • Unable to connect to register the serial number

    Just bought Adobe premiere elements 13.
    When I open the programm it asks to register the serial number. I click to connect (the connexion on the internet is working properly) but it's impossible to connect it says try again or register later.
    I have an Adobe  ID account where I have already registered this product and the serial number.
    I have also done the update of this product.
    Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your post I really appreciate your interest and help . I really hope my message will be clear as English is not my mother tongue.
    My computer operating system is windows.
    When I open the Adobe premier software a new window open saying :
    "Connexion required
    You should connect with your Adobe ID to activate this software. Type your Adobe ID to register the product.
    Then a  new window says :
    You will be connected with Adobe ID XXXXX
    I click to connect  then a new window says :
    Validation of the serial number
    Connect to internet to validate your serial number
    Connect later/  Validate
    When I click on validate it searches then nothing happens.  I can use the software at the moment when typing try Later .So I'm afraid that in 7 days I could not use the software anymore.
    I must say that the product is registered on the Adobe ID system but it seems there is no connection between this service ie Adobe ID and the software .

  • Wont validate my serial number

    I saw someone have similar trouble but then there was no answer. When I try and open photoshop elements 13 it asks that I sign in. I click sign in and no problem. Then it says "Serial Number Validation" "Please connect to the internet to validate your serial number."
    I'm obviously on the internet but when I click "Validate" nothing happens. Help please!

  • I cannot validate the serial number and I tried several things like shut down firewall, change hosts (cannot change it by the way the computer won't let me), etc.

    I cannot validate the serial number on premiere elements and photoshop elements. Stil saying that i do not have any connection with the internet. I already tried to contact the adobe chat. They did help me, but what they say did not work.
    They said that I had to contact helpdeks, but they would not help me. I had to go to the chat again. The chat does not work.

    Can someone help me, because I don't know what to do know.

    Did you purchase Premiere Elements 13 from Adobe direct? If so, you can get your money back within 30 days of purchase.
    I can post an Adobe Chat Orders link for that if necessary.
    Did Adobe Chat or any of its representatives offer to do a remote control of computer troubleshooting to get to the core of your
    problem? We in this user to user forum cannot do that, Adobe Chat might. But, again, we are not Adobe.
    Do you have a computer shop or an associate with computer software knowledge who can assist you on this matter?

    Just to summarize...
    a. In the hosts file....you saw nothing but the default entries
    b. You download and installed the Adobe Application Manager and that did not solve the problem
    c. You renamed the SLCache and SLStore Folders and that did not help
    But, can you disable the antivirus and firewall(s) to see if resolves the issue in anyway?

    i have purchased an official copy of premier elements 13. i have my serial number etc but when i go validate my sign in throgh my internet connection nothing happens. its a nightmare !! I cannot even find out how to generate a rerquest code for offline valiodation. clicking on "generate response code " does nothing. I have jjust spent £79 on this product. will someone please help. ther is nothing wrong with my internet connection.

    Thank you so much for your common sense reply. I contacted Adobe via their online chat help facility. One of their tech guys resolved the issue by re-setting the Hosts file. Now I have seen this in the forums and it basically involves making a back-up copy of the Hosts file deleting certain entries and applying again.. Thankfully this worked for me. But I would urge Adobe to look into this matter as there are many novices I am sure will be extremely frustrated at what should be a straight forward approach when validating their software. Most people would know there internet was working ok and most people would be able to disable anti-virus software etc, but to continue getting a failure to validate a serial number online would in my opinion beggar belief !! for most technically minded folks out there. Most annoying.
    When anyone purchases legacy software from Adobe, no one wants this kind of problem. The software is not cheap.
    My purchase was Adobe Premiere Elements 13 and it is a great piece of software for video editing. I can however recommend it. It is very good for both novice and professionals

  • Lightroom 6 standalone upgrade does not install - does not validate the serial number

    I have bought (Adobe store) yesterday and downloaded Lightroom 6 standalone upgrade (I own lightroom 4).
    During the installation in Windows PC I get the following message: "We are unable to validate this serial number for Adobe Lightroom. Please contact the support"
    - the Internetconnection is fine
    - checked etc/host
    - double checked both serial numbers
    It is just impossible to install the LR6 upgrade on my Windows PC. There were no problems installing and running LR4...
    Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Please check your hosts file entries once as sometimes due to no connection to the serialization server adobe doesn't verify the activtion.
    See the steps here-

    Note: You may have to disable you security software to modify your hosts file.
    Windows
    Choose Start > Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then press Enter.

    Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
    Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example,127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
    Save and close the file.
    Mac OS
    Log in as an administrator to edit the hosts file in Mac OS.
    In a Finder window, choose Go > Go To Folder.
    Type /etc.
    Select the hosts file and open it.
    Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
    Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example,127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.

    then you are using the wrong number or there's a connection issue.  your serial number is 6 groups of 4 numbers.

    Hi,
    Since you already have one copy activated the serial number must be logged in your account details - I would first check that the one logged and the one you are attempting to enter are the same.
    You can check your account details by going to www.adobe.com and clicking on Manage Account. You need to sign in with your Adobe Id and then click on View All under Plans & Products. Next click on View your products and after a while it should produce your list.
    If there is a problem with the serial number, only Adobe can help you there (we are just users). Please see the response in this thread

    I had forgotten my passcode on my phone and finally it said that my iPhone was disabled and that it needed to be connected to iTunes. Well for it to connect to iTunes it needed for me to respond on my iPhone but my iPhone is disabled! I'm so frustrated.     I don't think ,there is any report which can help to get the serial no of AP.
    Inventory( Report >Report Launch Pad> Inventory)  is the ONLY report which gave the below information but NOT the serial no .

    This report allows you to generate inventory-related information for  controllers, access points, and MSEs managed by Prime Infrastructure.  This information includes hardware type and distribution, software  distribution, CDP information, and other statistics.

    Is it possible to locate the thief, since he has alrady connected the device to iTunes and applied to his apple ID.
    (it is not longer in the reladed list of my apple ID - when I type in the serial number I get the message, that the device is related to another apple ID)
    Is there any way for the local police, to get the information of the actual apple ID of the thief from apple?

    A little more information:
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
