When verizon connected to my computer the installer did not connect to wireless, now I cannot connect my Kindle or other wireless devices , can some one tell me how to connect my wireless router to my computer?

Hi,
To connect your iPod to wifi just:
     1. Open settings,
     2. Tap Wi-Fi,
     3. Make sure the Wi-Fi switch is on,
     4. Tap the network you would like to connect to,
     5. If the network has a password then type it in and press join.
For hidden networks(networks that don't broadcast their SSID(name))
     1. Follow 1-3 above,
     2. Tap other,
     3. Type in SSID(name) of the network,
     4. Select the security of the network,
     5. If there is a password type it in,
     6. Press Join.
Some public networks may now show a login screen where you may have to agree to terms and conditions, enter your email etc...

I currently have an ipad 2 that has weak strength in connecting to wifi. My kindle will connect from my upstairs, but ipad 2 will not. Is the ipad air better with connection strength?

I currently have an ipad 2 that seems to be very weak in picking up wifi connection. I have a kindle that picks up the signal from my upstairs, but my ipad will not. Does the air have better capability in doing this? Would think of upgrading, as my ipad 2 also seems to be losing battery life quicker. Thanks!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Hi I have just purchased a Nokia E63 and want the phone to connect to wifi automatically for both email and the internet, particularly at home as I can't receive a signal from 3 (we don't receive a signal from any operator in our house). It seems ok with the internet but don't know how to set it up for mail. Can anyone help please?

You have to set up a new mailbox. Check the English manual on page 46 and further.

Connection to WiFi for my Apple MacBook Pro

First time I am having this hastle. I am in France, not helpful out in the middle of country and no assistance. I cannot connect to Wifi. My hubby's computer worked ok with $ sign in front of code for network. I have just got icon with waves and with exclamation mark in it .... so something is not configured right. My AirPort just has Self-Assigned IP in it. I have tried all sorts of ways to work this, even copying whats in my Hubby's computer but cannot add Router address... I am very perplexed, never happened to me before and am just at the end there.... Anyone suggest what I can do to fix this please.

I have an iPad 2 that suddenly refuses to connect to wifi for all apps except google chrome. Anybody ever had this happen to them?

The wifi signal shows connected with a strong signal. I've tried rebooting my iPad as well as the router and it didn't solve the problem. Any ideas on cause and hw to fix it ? Thanks

Try this:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

ICloud account disabled after not connected to wifi for 3-4hrs iOS 7.0.2

This has happened in the last 2-3days that I have noticed, everything is ok after i get to work and i've been there for a few hrs about 3-4. When I go take my break, my notes have litterly dissapeared, like all my notes from Dec 2011 till now have gone, i can't create an event from my notes, I go to Calender and my + sign has been disabled, I go to Settings, iCloud, and all the options for my account has been litterly been disabled, no one has touched it, not even accidental touch within my pocket, even with photo sharing, those 2 options to enable & disable, they were too disabled, even my backup iCloud has disbled, even my Find My iPhone has disabled.
Is there a Glitch withn iOs 7.0.2? There is no way that my pockect would have ever done this, not even to get passed my lock screen, there is nothing in my pocket except for regular cloths fuzz, so how is this possible? Anyone else havn this problem?
And I wouldn't touch my iPod during work hrs bc I work with SeaFood, I cut, pick up fresh fish, Shrimp, even cooked live lobster, and ice lobster legs, so how is this even possible?

Checked my icloud for the past few days since that day and it been fine until yesterday and today that my iOS 7.0.2 it playing with my settings besides the drop loging out of facebook, viggle, email, but i went to my icloud settings, and 'Find My iPhone' got turned off, i went back to the settings dashview and back into iCloud and went back to on, but that was yesterday, hrs later of yesterday, it is still on.
Today, it is completely off but my restrictions is still set to keep that on and not let it change, guess what, it is off and i had to go to Resrtictions>Locations Services and the Find My iPhone said Off, the Status Bar Icon is still on. I go back and changed it to Allow Changes so I can switch it back On
but this time i wasnt at work and was at home, due to later posting this, had to go out with my brother and buy cat food, went to taco bell, then to work
Even thou this is'nt proof bc simply anyone can turn it off and reapply and me waisting this whole time but this really is happening to me, no one touches my iPod except me and im not turning it off either, just wish it stops.

Hi, I just bought a Kindle Fire yesterday and I am purchasing a laptop tomorrow. As of right now, I do not have a wireless router or modem (mine are both about 5 years old and wired) but I am purchasing one tomorrow as well. What I want to know is if I need something seperate to have wifi for my Kindle or can I use the same thing that I'm going to use for my laptop? I would like to avoid buying something extra if possible.

The wifi would be shared with the kindle and laptop....
Before buying a router..... check your modem.... it may have a built-in router.... use that and it will save you money.
Don't forget about security...

mac filtering
disable file and printer sharing if it's not being used

It's trying to download when you are connected via cellular. Turn cellular Off and then connect via wifi.

I bought new iphone 5s and when tried to connect to wifi for initial setup it doesn't connect to the network.
But my other iphone 4s and ipad are connecting to this wifi and there is no issues on the network.
I tried to reset the network setting and even I done complete reset also. But still my new iphone 5s is not connecting to wifi.

MAC address filtering is not turned on and it is not entered into the router.
There is no limit set on the number of connections.

Yes, you've missed the download step.
Open the Kindle app and navigate to your Library. There is a tab at the bottom that says Cloud | Device. Tap the Cloud tab and tap the books you want to download to the device. You will see a progress indicator during the download. Once it's done, read away!
