Connect wifi keyboard to iPad mini

Can anyone tell me how to connect a new wifi keyboard to an iPad mini

Hey Jimy1955,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Looks like you want to pair with a wireless keyboard.
iPad: Using Bluetooth headsets and keyboards
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4111
Pair iPad with a Bluetooth accessory
Follow the instructions that came with the Bluetooth accessory to make it discoverable or to set it to search for other Bluetooth accessories. This may involve entering a passkey or PIN (Personal Identification Number).
From the Home screen, choose Settings > Bluetooth2 and turn Bluetooth on. iPad searches for nearby Bluetooth accessories.
Choose the Bluetooth accessory, and then enter a passkey or PIN if prompted.
Bluetooth headset: Refer to the documentation for the headset to determine the passkey.
Bluetooth keyboard: Type the passcode displayed on the iPad on the keyboard and then return.
When pairing is complete, you can use the Bluetooth accessory with your iPad.
Have a nice day,
Mario

I have an Ipad 2. My wife has an Ipad mini. When we plug in to Itunes (at different times) it synchs the apps from one Ipad on to the other. We don't want this. I have uncheked the box for Automatically synch apps, but it still does this.
How do I get Itues to see each Ipad as a separate item, and not try to keep them "equal" as far as apps installed?

Remove the apps from iTunes with your device connected. You can basically deselect the apps that you don't want on each device. We have three IOS devices on one AppleID and they don't all have the same apps.

What TC do you have? Model number direct from the base is a big help, it will be A1 followed by 3 numbers.. eg
A1409 Gen 4.. The new AC is A1470
    How is it setup?
I need the whole network setup. what modem/router, how is the TC connected etc??
I also need to know what IP the ipod gets, so I can see what mode the TC or network router is working in.

How do you connect wireless keyboard to ipad?

Go to Settings -> General -> Bluetooth. Turn on the iPad Bluetooth service and then the keyboard. They should find each other.
BTW it's tricky to disconnect them. If you don't turn off the keyboard while it's paired, the iPad virtual keyboard won't work properly. Check the manual.
The green light on the keyboard doesn't stay on all the time the keyboard is on, just for a few seconds after each change of state.
The bluetooth keyboard - iPad combination is a very effective writing tool. The keyboard is very responsive.

  • HT4623 I am using my iPod to ask this question, but I can't get wifi on my iPad mini. It showed the network, and says it is connecting, but it won't complete. Thanks in advance

My iPad mini isn't connecting to wifi, and I need help. I have tried forgetting the network and retyping the password, turning off wifi and waiting, and just giving the network time to try and load. None of the worked. I need answers as soon as possible
    Thanks in advance

    1. Turn off router for 30 seconds and on again
    2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

  • Why cant i connect to wifi on my IPad Mini

When i put my password in my Wifi Network..
All it does is show me the loading sign, But it never gave me the blue check mark indicating that's it's connected
But when i try connecting to my mom's hot spot it works..
My Ipad Mini is IOS 8.2
i have tried resetting my network settings
updating it to it's current IOS 8.2
turning off my Ipad and turning it back on
    Why is that?
and how should I fix this?

Try resetting your Wi-Fi router. Turn off the power to the router. Leave it off for at least 30 seconds then power it back on. After the router has completed its startup routine and indicates a good connection to the internet, turn on your iPad and try to connect again.

  • Connecting an Apple wireless keyboard to iPad mini

I have an Apple wireless keyboard which I use with my MacMini and have tried to get it to work on my new iPad Mini (it is love at first sight, that is me and the iPad mini) but with no sucess.  This maybe down to me but perhaps the keyboard can only work with one machine.  Any thoughts out there?

If its paired and in range of the iMac it will auto connect to it. You may need to unpair it form the Mac mini before pairing with the iPad, or make sure the Mac Mini is off or out of range when you initate the pairing with the iPad.

  • TS1398 I work at a hospital that has free wifi. My ipad mini connected just fine when I first bought it but now it displays unable to connect? What changed? Please help! My mini still connects at home, just not at work.

My Ipad Mini will no longer connect to the wifi at work. It did when I first got it but now it just displays unable to connect. What gives? I work at a hospital and the wifi is not password protected and my mini connects fine at home. Please help!

Some of these won't apply to your situation.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Unable to connect iPhone 6 and iPad mini via bluetooth for handoff iOS 8.1

    Hi,
I have been trying to use handoff(Continuity)  between my iPad mini and iPhone 6 both using iOS 8.1.
I managed to be able to do it with iOS 8 with a 5c instead of a 6 but now my iPad can not be detected on my phone and vice versa and if they do appear they will not connect and then disappear off the list.
Its a shame one of the main features I was looking forward to I am unable to use (I can't even use it on my mac because it is outdated!)
Is there anyway to get around this?
Also I know this is off topic but I travel on trains a lot and my iPad mini is not cellular if I can get handoff working again is it possible to still use the sms forwarding feature?
    Thanks,
    Bruce

Your post reads like you think that you are reporting a bug to Apple but be advised that this is a user-to-user technical help forum. You aren't talking to Apple here just other users like yourself. This isn't a bug reporting forum.
To report a problem to Apple use: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
Be advised, however, that I and many others are using iOS 6.1 with WPA2-secured WiFi networks with no problems at all. (iPad 3, iPad 4, iPhone 5)
Did anyone suggest checking if the firmware in your Comcast router is up-to-date or suggest something as simple as restarting the router by removing power to it for 30 seconds?

  • Wifi issues with iPad mini since iOS 8 update

I Have a First Gen iPad Mini now running on iOS 8.1 . Since the original update of IOS8 . I have had issues with Wifi it connects disconnects itself always looking for a signal.. Nerve had this issue before update of the new IOS 8. It's extremming slow and the apps and Safari keep crashing.. It becomes unresponsive unable to click on website . It also freezes .. I've have numberous  times  done a complete factory reset . Still having issues. I have reset my router and I don't have any issues with any wifi at the house. I do have a iPhone 5 that had the exact issue as my IPad mini but it was replaced under warranty via Best Buy. When I reciecevd my iPhone it was still operating on IOS 7 . The gentlemen at Geek Sqd told me to NOT to upgrade the software till Apple gets a fix.. They had a lot of people in with the same problem and there devices needed to be replaced. My last resort would be to go to the Apple Store and hopefully they can help or buy a new IPad. As far as the new iPad Air2 I have seen here they too are having issues.. Hopefully Apple can fix this soon.. Till then I will not be upgrading my iPad if a new one will have the same issues..

My iPad Mini 32GB w/4GB free space is working OK.
Downloaded IOS 8.1 thru iTunes on iMac
    Unplug cord from iMac
    iPad
    Reset all Settings
    Reset Network Settings
Hook up iMac and iPad then trust computer
    Computer accept iPad
Download Camera Roll pics to iMac
Complete iPad Auto download to iMac in iTunes
    Sign on to iTunes
    Log on to Wi-Fi
Unplug iPad from iMac and all is good so far after 2 hours.

  • How to connect wireless keypad to iPad mini?

How do I connect a apple keypad to my iPad mini?

Is this a new keyboard or one that you had before?  It should have directions in it, but all you need to do is go into Settings>Bluetooth and then you'll see the devices that are allowing themselves to be visible which you should see your keyboard if it is turned on and not already connected to another device.  Otherwise you are going to have to put it in pairing mode to get your iPad to see it, but as long as it doesn't see a device that it was connected to previously it should automatically go into pairing mode.  Click on the keyboard name and then it will connect.  Your iPad will tell you to type in a code that is on the screen and after you type in that number, you'll connect to the keyboard.

  • TS1398 How to connect to wireless with iPad Mini running iOS 6.x.x.

Recently purchased iPad Mini which iOS 6.0.1 installed.  It would not connect to the Internet over wifi at my home.  I run two wifi networks in the house.  One uses a Linksys WRT120G router (SSID:wremlc) and one using a combo DSL Modem/Router from CenturyLink (SSID:centurylink).  iPad would not connect to either network.  (As an aside my iPhone 4s amd my wife's iPhone 4 have been connected to the Linksys network (prior to upgrade to iOS 6.0.1.  They still connect to the wremlc network but will not connect to the centurtlink network.)  The Linksys router has been updated to the latest firmware and it is running WPA/WPA-2 security with AES/TKIP encryption and automatic channelling.  After tinkering with the settings in the CenturyLink router and changing from automatic channling to Channel 6, I was able to the iPad mini but neither iPhone.  I am afraid to change it on the wremlc network for fear that my iPhone will no longer connect.  Took iPad back to Verizon Store and could not connect to any of their secure wifi networks.  I am able to connect to public unsecure wifi networks in places like McDonalds, Panera and Starbucks.  I am also able to connect to some private secure wifi networks at some of my firend's homes but not all. When I try, for example, at my in-laws house (they use a Linsys WRT120N router), it tries to join and I get a mesaage that says "Unable to join network "chandler".  Same for my iPhones and my daughters iPad.  I thought iOS 6.0.2 had fixed the wifi problems but clearly they have not.  Don't think its a Linksys problem as my iPhones connect just fine but that could because its a remembered network that was originally connected before iOS 6.0 came out.  Sorry for the epistle but any help would be appreciated.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Dropping wifi on new iPad mini?

New iPad mini bought today. Noticeably slower than my iPhone 4S. iPad keeps stopping losing wifi then starting again? Weird. Also the 4s is cruising along at 28.56mbps on our super fast connection but the iPad mini is struggling at 6.21mbps. Anyone got any ideas what's going on? Thanks
