CONNECT WIFI

CAN ANYONE HELP WITH CONNECTING ON WI FI. IT HAS BEEN DONE IN A SHOP BUT WHEN I TRY TO ON MY HOME NETWORK I CAN'T. I SCAN FOR NETWORKS AND TRY TO LOG ONTO MY NETWORK I GET THIS COME UP. THIS WIRELESS ROUTER SUPPORTS WIFI PROTECTED SETUP. TO CONNECT USING A PIN (WHICH YOUR BLACKBERRY WILL GENERATE). CLICK NEXT. THEN I GET PROVISIONING WIFI PROFILES ENTER THIS PIN INTO YOUR WIRELES ROUTER 78749542 AND GIVES YOU 5 MINUTES TO CONNECT EACH TIME I DO THIS IT GIVES A DIFFERENT 8 DIGIT NUMBER. NO ONE I HAVE ASKED CAN UNDERSTAND WHY IT ASKS TO PUT THIS NUMBER INTO THE WIRELESS ROUTER OR HOW TO.
CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN WHAT THIS MEANS OR HOW TO CONNECT I HAVE TRIED THE PUSH BUTTON METHOD ASWELL BUT IT WON'T CONNECT TO THE INTERNET.

Rather than clicking "Next" at that point, click "Cancel" (I think it says that). It is totally counter-intuitive, but clicking Cancel lets it continue to connect to your WAP, bypassing that PIN configuration.

Noooo! Actually I too had d same prob wit my iPhone 4S. When I connect to my wifi network it won't get connected or it wil be grey scaled! I took it to d istore and since I had warranty they replaced my IPhone. It iPad charger has high volt than ur iPhone charger so when u connect wit it, there is a chance where large amount of current passes thru ur iPhone. So for sure it wil damage ur motherboard and its parts! Many said that iOS 6 or 6.0.1 or 6.1 was d reason for tis wifi prob! But apple never made its mistake wit it's software. If and only if u hav hardware prob u wil hav these sort of wifi prob Bluetooth prob! So best way s to replace ur iPhone!

Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

Since I update my Time Capsule(7.5.1), I cannont connect my ipod touch to wifi time Capsule.

My iMac is connected, my PC Windows is connected ans my Apple TV to.
Only my ipod cannot connect.
But, if i connect my ipod to an other wifi network it is ok.
That is only with my time capsule that I cannot connect wifi!!

Did you upgrade install Mavericks? I think this can lead to all kinds of issues.. clean install the OS is the only way.
Do a full factory reset of the TC..
Use all SMB names.. that is short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
I strongly recommend when you have trouble.. even different names for 2.4ghz and 5ghz. So you can keep track of where the issue is.
Also use ethernet.. if you have not got ethernet port, buy a Thunderbolt to ethernet (much the preferred) or USB to ethernet.. if thunderbolt is missing or used.
Open network utility on your computer and find the listing for the TC.
ie scan via netstat.
Make sure you have ipv6 turned on to link local.. this is now essential.
Use the IP address if it is static rather than name.. and try it in full network isolation by ethernet.
So Go .. Connect to server.
AFP://10.0.1.1 (at default IP)
The default password is public.. you will need to type in a password.
If it fails the TC could be faulty.
Use ping via the terminal to make sure the network is working.

Download the latest drivers for the Wireless network card that are applicable to Windows 8.1.
You can check with Acer on this.

You'll need to erase the drive by booting up holding command-option-r keys into your Recovery Volume.
Use Disk Utility to erase the disk and then Internet Recovery. That will take a while.

Follow all of the troubleshooting steps. You can even try restoring the device as new: iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
If the wi-fi remains greyed out, your device needs service.
If within warranty, it should be free.
If not, it will probably cost $199 USD + tax.

I had the same issue and usually a reset of all the network settings on iphone did the trick.
this method did not work with my iphone 5 . i did something in router settings that seemed to change things a lot, for the better.
the wifi channel usually the routers use is channel 11, so i changed mine to channel 1. this solved my issues and the iphone connected just fine to the network, without restarting the iphone or resetting any settings or switching off and back on the wifi.

I tried to restore my MacBook account password. It put me to the restoring menu and asked to enter my Apple ID and password. The problem is when I am in that menu MacBook cant connect wifi. Reset Password
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.

That's odd. I assume this is the 5 GHz band, right?
Have you tried changing the router to do auto 20/40?
Have you tried deleting and reconnecting to the wifi network?
