Connected iphone to computer and it restored all settings to my old phone, including old apple id. How do I cahnge it back?
Iphone connection to computer restored settings to an old phone using old apple id. Lost all photos, notes, etc. How do I restore it again?
If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My ipod has a black screen. I have tried to hold the sleep/off button and menu button at the same time with no luck. I connected to my computer and tried restore on itunes - still with a black screen a voice said "screen locked' code 542
Is the iPad charged? Plug it in with the charger/wall outlet for half an hour and try again to reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.

i just synced to a new computer and accidently erased all my songs that were not purchased. Is there any way I can get them back?
If they are still in your iTunes library, the answer is "yes", you can resynch to get them back.
If they are not in your iTunes library, and no longer on the iPod, I do not believe they cannot be gotten back easily. You might be able to have someone see if they are still on the disk, but that can be $$$. This is why the ITunes library should be viewed as the primary repository of music, even if you need to purchase an external hard drive or two to have the music and a backup. -
Help I was trying to save my pictures from my phone to my computer and then it restored my cell phone and I lost all pictures and videos from the past year and my text messages are from a year ago.. how did i get all that back? and I can't find my icloud photo stream at all!
you restore from backup, if you have one and if those text and pictures were included in the backup.

My iphone 5 power button broke so now I've got a replacement device. Ive restored all of my old data and everything worked besides my music. Any ideas how i get this back on my new device?
After the restore completed, you need to sync music back. Music is not part of the backup. Just connect the phone back to the computer and sync,.

I had contacts and pictures on my new iphone 4 from my old android. I went to sync my music and itunes account and it asked if I wanted to restore. I thought that it meant the music so i said yes. I lost all of my contacts and pictures and it set everything up from the old iphone/apple id that i used to have onto my phone. How do I get the pictures and contacts back?
It also asked if I wanted to update my software and it did that too

Having trouble sycning apps to phone.
Your apps are probably on the iphone. Have you done a search?
There are only11 pages available to show apps. The apps are on there, they just cannot just be displayed on the page, unless you put them in folders. -
My Firefox upgraded to 18.0.1 this morning automatically and all my bookmarks were lost. I need them back
"Not typical behavior". I think not. I am yet another person this happened to. Even if I can get them back, you've just wasted an hour or two of my time. I won't be using firefox again after I've recovered my bookmarks. If I recover them. Thanks for nothing.

When setting up foxfire 8 on my new computer I had the new toolbar at the top with the orange button on the top left. In the process of set up I accidentally replaced it with the former toolbar that is tiny and at the top left with file, edit view etc. I'd like to go back to the new type toolbar, but am not savvy enough to figure out how. Thanks for the help.
Right-click at the top, in the blank portion, next to your tabs and un-check the "Menu Bar". You can still access your Menu Bar by pressing the "ALT" key, if and when you need to.

Can،t get contact my iPhone to computer and there is no service
can،t get contact my iPhone to computer and there is no service
Not knowing what steps were included in "all the troubleshooting possible with Apple people," I'll suggest you give the phone a chance to reprovision your cellular account.
First turn off Wi-Fi. Then power off your phone. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the power off slider. Then slide to power off. Turn the phone back on. After the phone starts watch to see if No Serive is displayed. Hopefully after 15-30 seconds that will change to the name of your cellular service provider and finally indicate LTE or 4G as well as include some dots indicating signal strength. You can then turn Wi-Fi back on. -
I clicked on the angled arrows in the upper right corner of my screen in Safari and then lost my top menu bar, the one with the apple. How do I get it back?
Restart your computer.

iphone 4 is not recognized by itunes and is only on emergency mode, keeps telling me to connect to itunes but when I connect iphone to computer it does not recognize it
Did you try recovery mode? Hold down the home button as you connect it to iTunes. iTunes should pop up a window that says "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode" and give you the option to restore.

I sent in my iPhone 6 for repair. I used restore on the loaner phone I was given, and the contacts, texts, reminders, and Safari pages all showed up. My phone is back, and when I used the restore function again, those items are missing. I do not use iCloud because I have no wifi at home, limited data available for regularly backing up, and I have a 64GB phone and don't wish to pay to upgrade from the 5GB iCloud storage. Am I doing something wrong? It worked so seamlessly on my loaner phone that I am completely stumped as to why it will not restore those items to my original phone again.
The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service. Your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have chosen to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likely gone. -

I'm restoring a new iPad 2 (shattered the original). Backed it up on the iCloud and have restored all apps, music, photo albums, etc. However, the photo stream has not activated, so no photos have downloaded. Photo Stream is fine on my Iphone and Mac.
Hello there, Tamghosh.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some good steps to use for troubleshooting the issue you're describing:
iCloud: Photo Stream troubleshooting
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3989
Particularly:
I don't see photos in Photo Stream on my iOS device.
Check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro D.
