Connected SharePoint Sites listing Projects eventhough "Do not create a site" is set

Hi
Is it normal to see a list of projects in the PWA > Server Settings > "Connected SharePoint Sites" eventhough we have configured the config settings to "Do not create a site"? Is it actually creating sites or is it just listing
the projects that are store in Project On-Line ?
Note, only the names of projects display no other fields in that table are populated?

The Project Site Provisioning Setting "Do not create a site" prevents a site from being created when a project is published. This works, but it still prompts the user with a dialog each time a project is published. In 2007 and 2010, the only
way to prevent this dialog was to deny Manage SharePoint Foundation. In 2010, denying this permission does not have the same effect. Is there any way to keep this dialog from being displayed?

Hi Erik,
As far as I know, if you deny the "Manage SharePoint Foundation" permission with Project Server
2010, it does remove the dialog box (see this excellent
blog post). Note that you'll get warning messages in the Queue with Job State - 'Failed but
blocking correlation'.
I remember that Paul Mather, a fellow MVP, created
a macro with custom publish button (the macro suppressed the dialog box).

Getting Project Site Provisioning Pop-up even after Operational Policies set as Do not create a sites in project server 2013.

In Project server 2013, users are getting Project Site Provisioning Pop-up even after Operational Policies set as Do
not create a sites.
We can use “Deny” Global Permission, “Manage SharePoint Foundation”, which controls Project site creation/ delete
as temporary workaround however want to know is this know defect in Project server 2013?
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

I can reproduce the same behaviour in my environment. It pops-up the dialog box when Project Site Provisioning settings set to 'Do Not Create' in the Central admin for the Project Web App.
As you mentioned already you can control it via permissions as an work-around.
Alternatively, you can also ask users to select the check box 'Don't show this again for this project'

Seems that the « Reuse connection » command is essential to assure that an application use ONLY ONE Jco. I get rid of the disconnectIfAlive.
Recommendation 1: Put all the BAPIs that you call in the same system into the same model!
Recommendation 2: If you canu2018t follow recommendation 1, make sure that the two models synchronize their (JCo) connections!

List 'Workflow History' does not exist at site with URL

Hi techies,
I got this error while activating a feature, where I attach the workflows to the lists which exists within sites.
And i have also deployed all the workflows which are to be used.
Anybody faced this similar error?

Are you trying to get workflow history list in your code? (custom feature or VS workflow) if so then can you verify your code and make sure that your are searching for this list at root level. (workflow history list is common list and available at root site
collection only)

When you use conditional formatting on some page it is writing inline CSS codes inside that page. thats why when you create a new page and add the same web part to that page, you must edit that page to apply conditional formatting to that
web part.

When you say edit the page, do you mean edit it in SharePoint Designer, or in SharePoint itself. And is it a case of just editing, then saving the page and it will apply the conditional formatting, or is there a specific property you need to edit, and if so,

SharePoint 2010 List View Web Part not showing for read-only users?

According to your post, my understanding is that the read only user could not see the list view web part.
Per my knowledge, the issue may be cause that the user do not have the proper permission for the list.
1. Check whether the user can access the list.
2. Check whether the user can view all the items instead of partial items in the list.
3. Check whether there are some fields refer to other lists or terms, especially the lookup field or managed metadata filed.
If that is the case, make sure the user can access the lookup list.

Firefox will not connect to websites, it opens but will not go to sites, just keeps cycling

None of the browsers (Firefox, IE or Chrome) will connect to websites. They open but just keep cycling

I have tried all of the options in that first link you showed and none worked. I also configured my firewall (Windows Firewall) and ensured firefox was in the "Allow" list, which it was. I still have the issue.
I did notice something interesting though. When I first checked the firewall, Mozilla firefox wasn't on the list at all. I had to manually add it and then made sure it was allowed to connect to the internet. Even after I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, I never got one of those windows notifications asking me if I wanted to add a rule for firefox. Checking the firewall settings again, firefox was still absent. I don't think it matters, firefox doesn't work with no rules at all in the firewall, or if I manually add the rule and allow firefox to connect.
Any other thoughts?

Publishing to MobileMe - User name/password list lost and can not create ne

I have a problem when publishing to MobileMe. All my previous username/passwords and not in the list, it is empty and when I try to create a new one it doesn't save it and only allows me to publish to everyone. Has anyone else have this problem? I am using iPhoto09.

How do you get your site removed from the reported attack sites list?

Our site https://mail.ccgs.nsw.edu.au/owa appears to be on the 'reported attack sites' or reported web forgeries' lists and is getting blocked in Firefox. This is a mater of urgency as we use Firefox as our web browser in this organization and there is a site wide outage, none of our staff can use their webmail. How do we get removed from this list?
When we have the site in the "Allowed Sites" list it still does not load.
When we un-tick "Block reported attack sites" and "Block reported web forgeries" the site works. Though we do not want to untick these for our users for security purposes.

I am not seeing this problem currently with that URL. Firefox refreshes the site list from Google quite frequently. You can check for new files in the following folder and if they are not getting refreshed, I suppose you could try deleting them.

Note that this is under the Local branch (location of cache) and not the Roaming branch (location of preferences, extensions, etc.)

WRT54GS Not Allowing Certain Sites

We have a WRT54GS router and somewhere it is having issues with us connecting to specific sites. The most common issue is with netflix.com. If I am connected via an ethernet cable directly to the modem I can connect to netflix just fine, but when I connect to the wireless network I can not access the site. I still have a very strong connection and complete speed tests at above 6Mbps but still can not connect to that site. The newest adition that I have learned is that if I connect my laptop thru a vpn on the wireless network I can reach netflix and those other sites as well. The vpn is Vyper if that makes any difference. Anyways is there some setting(s) on the router that might be hindering connections to sites? And though netflix is the most common problem it is not the only one. It has only become an issue over the past few weeks in which we couldn't connect to the site thru the router. Any ideas?

Open the setup page of the router. Set the MTU to manual and reduce the size to 1365.
Power cycle the router and see if that works.
Make sure that the Firmware on the router is up to date.
If not then download the latest firmware from the Linksys website and upgrade it on the router.

My site doesn't show in the site listing sidebar

According to iWeb help, "Your websites are stored in one file called “Domain” on your computer. You can copy this file to another computer as a backup or to work on your site from another location."
When I open the file I've always opened to work on my site, called Domain.sites2, I am brought to the "choose a template for your webpage" window in iWeb.
In the site listing in the sidebar, where I used to see my site listed, I see only one item, "Site," with a downward pointing arrow next to it. If I choose a template for my page just so I can get out of the dialog, I see "Welcome" Listed under "Site" in the site listing pane, but still not my site. Of course the main layout pane doesn't show my site either.
When I close out without saving and preview the Domain.sites2 file with QuickLook, it shows a thumbnail of the site I am trying to access. The filesize is 6.4 MB. I tried using Time Machine to restore a version of Domain.sites2 from last year, but when opened, that also doesn't show my site in the site listing sidebar.

Could not create a new connection in STRUTS

Hi,
I have done a application in STRUTS using JBOSS as application server, IDE myeclipse, database is MYSQL, current while executing the application at the time of connecting the database it is giving the error as 'could not create a connection ; nested throwable i have given below the server console message can anybody help in this regard to solve this issue.

Any way to not publish all sites to .Mac?

I have a website that I publish to my .Mac account for my own personal use. However, I have been asked by my community band if I could come up with a website for the band. This would require me however to publish the site to a folder for uploading to external hosting.
Is there any way when I update my personal site not to have everything published to .Mac?

Another way to ease the management and publishing of multiple sites is to use iWebSites.
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want. It might be what you're looking for.
