Connected Touchpad to Work Computer now I get "Network Login Message" No internet Connection

I tried charging my Touchpad on my work computer the USB icon showed up on TP. After charging, I could no longer access the internet. I'm constantly getting Network Login required, No internet connection.
I have no problems using at home or at various hot spots, but at work, no matter what I do I get the same message. I've tried to power off/on router.. didn't work. Rebooting my TP.. didn't work. Changing Chanels on Router.. didn't work. I don't know if a factory reset is needed or the doctor fix is needed. I read just about every post on this form, but I 'm a novice and am having difficulty turning the tech talk into layman's terms.
Additionaly, I would like to know how to make my TP more useful with regard to using on the Android market, but I don't want to brick the unit. I purchased in 2011 to use at work and can't use it due to the problems listed.

I'm not sure what the fix is for the network issue at work. Does the TP even recognize the network at your office? You could try a full erase reset as a less-drastic step than doctoring.
As for Android on your TP, it is not officially supported here, but I can tell you that it's the bomb. I have CM9 on one TP, and CM10 on another. They both work great, very stable. Suggest you check out CM9 here, and and CM10 here. Beyond that, it's pretty much self-help on installation. Of course, it is also at your own risk.

I have yet to find an email server that does not work with Mail.app. Your solution will be to configure its ports and send/receive protocol according to the email server's requirements.

Solution: No. Idea: Yes. A lot of "funny" things are supposed to happen while Apple moves MobileMe accounts to the new data center which will run iCloud. Maybe that's related....

ITunes Quit During iPod Update Now I Get An Error Message

iTunes quit while i was updating my 1 gen iPod touch to the 2.2 firmware now I get an error message everytime i connect my iPod thay says.
An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again. AN unknown error occurred (2001).
What do i do now? I tried everything and nothing worked can someone please help

I would start by removing and reinstalling iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747
Followed by a reset of the touch - hold down the Sleep/Wake key and the home button until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Try your update again. If you still have problems with the touch, you are going to have to reset it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1238 and try again.

Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?

Unfortunately, there is mass confusion about whether a device might be a modem or a modem/router since the terms are mixed up all the time. Even though a device might have only one Ethernet port, it can still be a router.

It is not a modem.....it is a modem/router. If that is the case, then the AirPort Extreme is not the only router on your network....it is one of two routers, and it should be configured to operate in Bridge Mode.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I have a problem with my iPad too. Every time I plug into my MacBook Pro to synq, the computer tries to start up iPhoto then a couple of seconds later my computer screen goes black,but key board is still lit. I have to hold down the power button to switch off the restart the computer. Nothing happens with the iPad.
