Connected webpart filterd by previous selection

Hi,
I have upgraded an SP2010 farm to SP2013 and im running into a strange issue.
On a page I have to connected webparts (both xslt list viewers).
The strange thing is :
select item a in list x nothing happens.
Select item b in list x, list y is filtered by item a
Select item c (or a) in list x, list y is filtered by item b and so on.
It looks like the setting from list x is set after list y is renderd. But i have no idea how to change that order.
Already tried to remove the connection and rebuild it. Tried al different ajax settings and server render options
List y is below list x, so would probably renderd first.
Am i missing a setting so i can fix the rendering?
It al okay in the SP2010 page. (im running in 2013 mode)

According to your description, my understanding is that the connection between the two list view web parts work incorrectly after migrating to SharePoint 2013.
How did you set the connection between the two web parts?
I recommend to create a new page and re-add the two list view web parts, then configure the connection between the web parts to see if the issue still occurs.

Connected webpart - add item with selected data

Hi!
I have a page with connected web parts.
Example:
List one: Companies
a address List with companies
List two: Employees
A list with employees and a relation to companies (Company name).
On the view item on companies i have list Employees connected. When i add an item i would like to have the Company name selected in the drop down.
I have seen examples on using JavaScript but this doesn´t work in SharePoint 2013. Anyone with a solution for this, Jslink perhaps?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add item with selected data in connected webpart.
I recommend to use lookup column in the Employees to add a relation to companies.
You can check “Yes” under “Require that this column contains information”. Then you need to select an company when you add a item.
The result is as below:
If you want to set the defult value for the lookup column, you can use InfoPath and no code.

In addition, a simple add-on(SharePoint Default Value Add-On) which inject a "default value" section into "Create Column" dialog， seems to be a solution.

"Print preset selection failed – restoring previous selection"

Hey, my name is Quin, and I have had a strange problem with InDesign CS5. Suddenly, without warning, or apparant change to my preferences/settings, all my print presets have stopped working. When I attempted to return to them, i get a dialog box that reads "Print preset selection failed. Restoring the previous selection." I'm curious if anyone else has had a problem with the print presets randomly not working. I'm using InDesign CS5 7.0.3 on my MacBook with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and a Brother HL-5340D printer. I thought the print driver might have been corrupt so i deleted and reinstalled it, but to no avail… seems that a number of my print settings are simply unavailable, even if they are still listed.
Anyone have any insight?

Try unplugging and plugging the cables. I would also suggest the you connect the printer to one of the built-in ports rather than a hub, but if you must use a hub, use a powered hub.
Can you delect the printer and print without using a preset? If so, try editing the preset and just reselect the printer.

M Audio firewire solo with yosemite - 'The previously selected audio interface is not available'.

Hi, I recently bought a new mac mini with yosemite OS. I plugged in my M-audio firewire solo and (after a bit of trouble) finally managed to see it appear in GB. then moments later a dialogue box appears with 'The previously selected audio interface is not available'.
There doesn't appear to be any update drivers from M-Audio and the CD that came with the interface also does not work?
I can't find any information with this problem. Can any one help?

Error message: "the previously selected audio interface is not available"

HELP?!?!?!?!?
I'm stuck, and I can't go forward. Here's my issue:
I've bought a Focusrite Saffire LE, a simple firewire audio interface, for use with my Logic Express 7 (with all the latest updates). I run the setup assistant and select my saffire as the audio interface to use, and then when logic runs I get the message "the previously selected audio interface is not available" and it defaults to my Macbook Pro's internal microphone and speakers.
Just for sanity I've tested the audio interface with garageband and it's fine. My other audio apps aso run fine using the saffire as the audio interface. The setup assistant for logic has no problem finding the saffire, so why does it get rejected as soon as logic starts?!?!?
Please - this is driving me crazy.

I asked Focusrite for some help, and they said it should work (which I knew) and made some suggestions. Here's their email:
"Saffire LE should work fine in Logic Express.
Try resetting your logic preferences. Go to Logic > preferences > initialise all except key commands.
Do you still have the same problem?
Do you have any other firewire devices attached?
Have you had any other interfaces installed in the past?"
All good suggestions, but so far no luck.
Has someone else got the same config as me? (15" Macbook Pro and focusrite saffire le)?

Possible BUG: duplicating a shape layer only duplicates previously selected points - PS CS6

Unless PS has been updated to make this a feature, i may have found a bug. Now (in CS6 vs. previous versions) when you duplicate a shape layer, if you had previously selected specific points of the shape (for example with the direct selection tool) only those points will be duplicated in the new layer. This is true no matter what tool you are currently using.
What I did was make a rounded-corner rectangle shape -> then direct selected all points on one side to stretch the rectangle without distorting the rounded corners -> then switched to the move tool so no points were selected anymore and only the layer was selected-> duplicate layer (with the intention of duplicating the whole shape). what i got was just the rounded corners on a new layer.
It seems the only way to duplicate the shape layer in its entirety is to go back with the direct select tool -> select ALL points of the whole shape -> change to move tool -> dupe layer.
If that's the intended new functionality, it's a bummer because if you intend to only duplicate certain points, you can already do that while using the direct select tool. Using the move tool, it shows no direct selections and therefore you should be able to duplicate the whole layer.
Maybe I have some weird default option checked that I'm not familiar with? This is not how any previous versions of PS worked and will add friction to my workflow if this is new.

Yes, this is an issue with CS6 and the first release of CC. You have to make sure you deselect all nodes in a path, or you will get the result you describe. I believe Adobe has made some corrections and improvement in the use of shape layers that will hopefully be released soon. However, if you're sticking with CS6, you've got to make sure to deselect on Win the esp key works great.

The selected printer connection method is incorrect. Select the....... ERRO

Just upgraded to 10.5. I'm setting up a few printers and a plate maker. Got everything setup as far as I could tell but one machine wont work. It's an ImageRunner 8500 from Canon. When I try to print to that printer I get this:

Not what thats about. In the printer list, It shows up there with everything else that is connected via Appletalk. I got the PPD for the Konika Minolta CPP500 installed and it prints fine... any ideas? Thanks,

I tried Appletalk but that printer does not appear. However LPD does work. I think the problem was on checking my other Macs in the office, there is no way of telling whether they are connect via IPP or LPD as the set up appears the same, i.e. IP address. When I tried to add my the printer again, I had forgotten how we set it up originally.

Previously selected value of a prompt pertaining

Hi All,
Had a issue with the dashboard.
There are two prompts p1 & p2. p2's value are updated based on p1's value.
Issue being face is that when p2's go button is clicked and next time p1's value is changed and clicked go,the previously selected p2's value is still pertaining. How can i get rid of the previously selected value.

I need the two go buttons,since the two prompts are in different sections and p2 is driven by the presentation variable of p1.
Also in p2 user can change the value to check for the results.

Re-checking previously selected checkboxes

Hi,
I've created a form with 2 canvases. On canvas2 there's a tabular list with check box for each row. From canvas 1 I call canvas 2 and return the check box selections from canvas2 to canvas1.
If I want to change the data selected, I can re-open canvas2. But when canvas2 opens, the saved selections are not reflected.For example: If row2 canvas2 was checked, then it is unchecked when canvas2 is re-opened.
I wrote a piece of code which re-checks the previously selected rows in canvas2, and verified in debug mode that it is working. However, after the trigger containing the code completes execution, the rechecking is lost and I am not able to identify why this is happening. Debug also does not let me trace where the execution flows after completing execution of the containing trigger.

Databound Combobox - First item changes to previous selection when clicked again

Hi All,
I have just written my first vb.net app using VS2014 and everything is working perfectly except the same weird issue is happening on 2 comboboxs I have...
Basically I have a Vehicles combobox and a Departments combobox (both created by dragging the field from Data Sources after setting it to combobox onto the form creating a databinding). When the user has made their selection they hit a show operations button
which then does things depending on the selections made.
The tables come from a SQL Server.
The sql statement for my Departments TableAdapter is:
SELECT Code, Department
FROM Departments
ORDER BY DisplayOrder
Setup of combobox:
Use Data Bound Items is ticked
Data Source = DepartmentsBindingSource
Display Member = Department
Value Member = Code
Selected Value = (none)
This image show a correct list for the department CB (bored of typing combobox) when it is first clicked.
I select Finishing, then.
This image shows what I get on the second click (which can literally be straight after as though the wrong selection was made the first time - I say this as clicking my Show Operations button has no effect on the behaviour).
Basically the top item changes to be whatever the previous selection was. If I had chosen Construction it would have read Construction, Construction, Finishing.
The same thing is happening on the Vehicles CB - I wont explain that as it is the same as above.
I have been googling this for several hours but cannot find any other example of this issue. I may have done something stupid but hopefully not.
If you could please shed some light on why these combobox's are behaving this way I would be VERY grateful.
I am trying to learn as much as I can so if someone could actually explain why this is doing this rather than just a one line fix (which would be better than no fix at all) it would be appreciated.
Note: I have no code associated with event / index changes on either box in any way. I reference their current values once I have click my Show Operations button.

Adobe form displaying data of previous selected records

Dear All,
I have created a wd component consisting of 2 views.
In the first view i am displaying an ALV. When i select a record and click on the alv button, the second view
gets called which contains an Adobe Form showing the data.
The problem i am facing is that the record which gets displayed in the adobe form is the one previous selected record and not the current record which i select.
Kindly give your valuable suggestions .

Hi ,
Adobe form is just an external media in your case , it has nothing to do with your data.
Check what data is getting passed to adobe form via debuging .
check if your getting the selected element .

Error when printing: Printer selection failed. Restoring the previous selection.

Hi!
Sometimes when I'm printing in InDesign CS3 the default printer is PostScript and when trying to change it the error "Printer selection failed. Restoring the previous selection." appears.
It´s the same error as in this unsolved old thread:

Does anyone have a solution to this?

What is the OS? CS3 was not tested on recent OS versions and may not be fully functional. You can export to PDF and print that from Acrobat or Reader.

Grey out previously selected!

I have five images on a slide, each one linked to another slide that the user has to carryout intercations; then when they are done they click and go back to the main slide with the five images, this time I want them to see the previously selected image greyed out. Can any one help or provide a work around.
