I have iPhone 4 with updated latest iOS And i am using FIND IPHONE application. But everytime when ever i login in it and serch for the device its shows the device  but never give me the location"NO LOCATION AVAILABLE".It is already connected with WIFI and i tried all the stuffs that has been written in the manual. Plese give me the Proper suggetion about this issue..!!

If your router is not identified in a national database (don't recall who maintains it or where it is) then there is no location associated with it.  Hence your device cannot be located.  I suggest you try your test at some public wifi spot, like a bookstore or coffee shop.  These places usually have a location associated with their wifi router.

  • Ipad is connected to the wifi but unable to access internet or receive mail.

Recently set up new broadband connection. Wifi set up and iphone, computer all able to connect to wifi and internet. Ipad recognises old networks and able to connect for wifi access, but for this new connection I am able to connect with the ipad but it does not seem to be able to receive or transmit any information, hence I am unable to access any internet, update any apps or check my email. Can anyone help? I've tried rebooting the system, forgetting the network and shutting the ipad off, all to no avail!

I've rebooted the router, I've made the ipad forget previous settings, rebooted the ipad, called the useless talktalk technical help. I have used this ipad previously with a previous talktalk connection. I'm not sure why this time I can't connect - perhaps its the security setting on the new router that isn't competible with the ipad? I'm using a D-link DSL-3680 router if that helps

  • Connected to wifi but can't access internet

My MacBook connects to the internet through wifi, but ipod, iphone and ipad only connect.  Even though the bars are there indicating connection, I can't access the internet on any of the 3 devices.     When I reset the router it the devices can access the Internet for a while, but then i lose access again.   Hmmm?

We got our son's working yesterday. It didn't dawn on me until many hours later that I kept giving the router password instead of the Hex key for the I-touch password Entry. We had to supply the Hex Key. We use WEP as a security mode and both password and Hex key are in Hexidecimal format. I hope this helps you and saves you many hours of headaches.

  • MacBook is connected to wifi but unable to surf the internet

I have a 1st generation white MacBook and I have been connected to my home wireless network for a few months now without any issues.
Today for the first time I took my MacBook to my friend's place to work on a project. I connected to his home wireless network, which was not password protected (hence I did not need to tweak any settings).
However upon returning home, I tried connecting to my home network and though I could surf the net, it was excruciatingly slow, much worse than a 56KB modem. Then suddenly without warning it stopped being able to surf the internet.
I have restarted my MacBook and my router several times. It can't be a problem with my home network as the other computers in the home (1 MacBook Pro, 1 Windows laptop, 1 netbook and 1 iPod Touch) can connect to the internet without any problem.
I tried going to System Preference>Network>Create New Location etc but it still doesn't work.
Can anyone offer a solution as to why I am facing this problem only after taking it to my friend's place? Could it be a virus or a corrupted network I connected to at my friend's?

I have just started having a similar problem.
I am using a free WiFi service at a local arts centre. I have used this service many, many times over the past few years and it works perfectly well. Until today. i turned on my MacBook and, as expected, it connected to the WiFi network perfectly. However, I could not connect to the internet. I tried with Chrome and Safari, I tried via iTunes and through mail, but nothing.
I know the WiFi is working, as there are other people around me using the network perfectly well, however I can't connect.
Not sure if this impacts it, but I am currently connected via a 3G dongle.
Can anyone please provide any assistance?
    Thanks

  • Time Capsule has green light, connects with wifi, but no internet

After a recent cable outage in my area, I no longer have internet through Time Capsule.
The cable company's "maintenance" has been corrected/restored.
My cable modem works fine and connects directly to my MacBook via ethernet just fine, as well.
When I connect the cable modem to the TC (via ethernet), the green light eventually comes on and my MacBook can access the TC via wifi just fine, but I cannot access the internet.
    Thanks, in advance!

Please try the following to get the TC and modem communicating again:
o Power-down the modem, TC, and computer(s); wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the TC; wait at least 5-10 minutes.
    o Power-up the computer(s).
Computers connected to the TC, either by wire or wireless, should now have Internet access. Please post back your results.

  • IPhone shows connection with wifi, but I do not have the ability to do anything that requires internet

When I first unlock my iPhone, it says I have connection to internet. But when I do something that requires internet, it either does not load, or it gives me a connection error message. I just got this phone yesterday from my mom and she barley used it. I have tried factory resetting it but it wont let me.

    Hi Bdegroot8,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is having trouble with Wi-Fi. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • I'm connected to wifi, but i have no internet

I've been connecting to my home wifi for a few months and have had no problems, but resently i have had problems with my ipod. I connect my ipod to my wifi, (which does have internet because i'm connected to it right now with my desktop)and it says it is connected and at full signal strength, but when i attempt to go to the app store or safari it says that i am not connected to the internet. Is there a way i can fix this without having to restore my ipod? I have already tried restarting it, but that hasnt worked. Sometimes i can connect and sometimes i cant.

it is connected and at full signal strength
That only means it sees your wifi router. I suspect that if you go Settings>Wi-Fi and touch the blue triangle to the right of the router you are connected to, you will see an IP Address that starts with 169. This is a self-assigned address and means you are NOT connected to the internet.

  • Connected to wifi but unable to get on safari, any suggestions?

I am in a hotel and connected to the wifi system. When I try to get on the Internet I am td there is no connection. I was on earlier today.  The signal strength is full. What can I do to trouble shoot?

    Hi there.
Some hotel networks require some sort of authentication, or sometimes even payment to connect to the network. If you are connected to the wireless network, and the network requires this, you should be greeted with a page as every time that you attempt to connect to a wireless network, the iPad checks for this.
I would also try contacting the hotel's network troubleshooting department for help also, as they may have a different configuration than normal networks do.
    Hope this helps.
