Connectin the 7.1 Speaker system to LCD TV

i recently got a Lg LCD tv (26 inch)....just wanted to know that can i connect the 7.1 speaker system to the and the DVD player and will it give good output......and if not.....whts the solution or the alternative to it

I'm baffled at how you got it to work. I'd be humored to know what kind of loops you must have jumped through to get it going. Humored... and very much interested in the hack.
I brought one home from a Microcenter today for my PPC Mac Mini (10.5.2) particularly.
I've tinkered with it all day but it just is not producing any sound.
The manual instructions do not lead to results.
It does show up as a device by profiler. Alas Audio MIDI Setup is refusing to recognize the FireWave.
So I'm out $100 and am looking at another trip back to return it... unless it CAN really work.
I've emailed Griffin.
Doesn't work on a 10.5.1 Mac Pro either.
I cannot find ANY devices that will do hardware decoding via firewire /or/ usb that are supported by 10.5.2 that aren't total overkill for what I'm using it for. This seemed like a perfect solution, but I'm really dissatisfied that it didn't work out of the box and with the lack of Griffin's support.
So please if you can help me figure this out I'd really be grateful.

    Hi there Graham!
I have a couple of articles that can help you troubleshoot this issue. First, if you are downloading HD content, you will need to know the system requirements for HD playback, which can be found here:
iTunes: Purchasing and viewing HD videos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3209
Next, you will want to check your video playback settings on your Windows machine. The steps for that can be found right here:
Troubleshooting iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7 video playback performance issues

Hope that helps. Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

  • Is 60gb iPod Video compatible with the Klipsch iFi Speaker system?

I just got a new 60gb iPod Video and I have the Klipsch iFi system on backorder.
Now I am a bit cconcerned that it may not be compatible.
Anyone out there have this combination?
How is the system working out?

I sent an e-mail yesterday through the Klipsch Support link asking that same question. On their website it did mention that it didn't fit the smaller iPods...Nano, etc. but did support the older 'larger' iPods...20G, 40G and so on. I'm thinking it's like the universal dock situation, we may need an adapter or just be careful when we attach it, as it won't be fully supported within the cradle, but still connect..I'll keep you posted.....gary

  • Did you know that the iPad 2 speaker system is actually stereo?

I ran across this by mistake one day, and I couldn't believe it. But I was able to prove it in this video. You can do this experiment yourself, so don't take my word for it.

Well yes, but...to have the true sterophonic sound effect one must place one's ears 3/4 of the distance from the speakers of the distance that separates the speakers...have to place the ears awfully close to that iPad

  • Is the corsair sp2500 speaker system compatible with a macbook pro?

I've seen people say that you can and people say that you need all of these adapters. I've hooked up a pair of pc speakers to my macbook before and they worked perfectly fine. Just wanted to get a second opinion before I went ahead and did anything.

"With a 3.5mm line-level output for a variety of options."
Dual 3.5mm auxiliary inputs and 3.5mm headphone output
    For simple input/output connections.
Thats what best buy tells me ^ haha I mean its worth a shot and my friend has a set for his new gaming computer and they just sound absolutely amazing

  • Can the G500 Speaker system be used for Mac systems?

I have the Creative G500 speaker system 5.1 and would like to know if it can be hooked up to my mac? I understand I will not be able to use the pc card but can the speaker system itself be hooked up to the Mac?
    Thanks

Sorry I did not get back online quick enough...but the passwords are the same.
For some reason, after my first cold boot, I was still prompted for the hard disk passwords.  I powered down again and when I powered back up, it signed me on all the way through.  So it was just a hiccup.
All is good now and I'm very happy!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

  • X-FI and 4 point Digital Speaker system

I have the Cambridge Soundworks speaker system that has digital inputs. I know its an older system but i am wondering if there is any other way to enable the 4 point digital without having to resort to analog cables?
The only option under the digital settings are headphones and 2/2. speakers. Did Creative forget about the Cambridge line that supports 4 speaker digital?
I have tried different settings including configuring for 4/4. speakers and enableing digtal yet my 2 front speakers are carrying all 4 channels.
if there is not a solution.. can anyone tell me where i can get the analog cables for a 4. speaker system?
I got rid of mine a long time ago once I upgraded to the Soundblaster LIVE! X-Gamer.
Other then that the X-FI sounds awesome.. just wish i had my digital 4 point surrond.
    thanks

Well, the Li've! and Audigys use a proprietary 4-pole connector which can carry 8-channels, while also being compatible with 3-pole 2-channel stereo-minijack-like SPDIF. I am not really sure about it, but the Flexijack is most probably a normal 2-channel connector.
If anyone has this configuration testing would be enlightening. You should be able to get the 2 front speakers to work properly, but the rears may be the problem. (And do the 4-channel test, because the FPS will default to copy the front sound to the rears if there is no rear input ).
But the question is, would quality be better? I doubt it, the DACs in the FPS2000 are quite old and I think their SNR will actually be lower than the ones on the X-Fi.
Also, I don't think EAX will be different with or without the digital connection. It worked fine with my Li've! card and I had no problems.

  • I pod touch speaker systems

i like my Ipod touch and like to watch movies and tv shows etc which is great, the quality is excellent etc. but all the add on speaker systems i have found stand the ipod verticle on a mount, which is fine when listening to music but if you want to watch a movie it goes into wide screen mode... so unless you want to watch you movie layed down... you get the picture, no pun intended..Anyone know if Apple or anyone has a system that fits the ipod in wide screen mode and will let me watch my ipod and hear the sound through speakers, Oh and preferably doesn't cost the earth.

I know this will not help, but I have been looking for a speaker system that has the sound quality of an iPhone, or better. I have not seen many out there, but something like the iPhone speaker, maybe even in stereo, would be great. Watching this thread, interested in what someone might have found.

  • My speaker system wont work on my laptop

I just got the inspire t2900 speaker system for my compaq presario 200 laptop. I pluged the speaker cords into the sub and the audio input cord from the sub to the head phone input on my laptop and i pluged the power cord in. Then i put on a song from windows media player on my laptop and there in no sound but when i take the audio input cord out of the head phone input sound comes out of my laptop speakers. whats wrong!

    jason,
i did what you said and pluged headphones into the headphone input to test and see if my laptop was the problem. The headphones worked perfectly and i even tried pluging the sound system into the headphone input on my brother's Dell media edition laptop and got the same results that i got from my laptop. I noticed you are very knowledgable about this subject and would appreciate any further suggestions.

  • Can I use my new iphone 5 with the old iHome iD9SVC Speaker System if I get an apadter? or should i just buy new speaker system made specifically for the iphone5

can I use my new iphone 5 with my old iHome iD9SVC speaker system if I get an adapter? or should i just buy a new speaker system made specifically for the iphone 5?

Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.

  • A solution to the S750 speaker system problem

Well my s750 died just like everybody elses. But after creative wanted me to pay 75% of my purchase price, I found a better solution. Nope, I am not fixing the unit like you guy's. I do not see the need to fix a poorly design system! I am not sure if creative or indigo/bash/blade audio is to be blamed. But if I had to pick, I would say "indigo/bash/blade audio". Years ago before blade audio became indigo, I had a chance to visit their location in ontario Canada. This was just when they stop making the blade audio car amps.
While I was there, I happened to see this long list of brand names they had started to make amp modules for. Names like Harman International, Klipsch and so on. Anyway I cast the blame on indigo for this reason: Some years ago I had purchased a set of "harman international" infinity IL series speakers. Like our creative s750, the infinity shares a bash powered subwoofer system. And just like the s750 the infinity subwoofer like to blow up too! In the case of the infinity, the power supply was the weak link. The amp module in the infinity at that time, was built just like the blade audio car amps before. Which in my opinion is a much better design than what is being used in the s750. I remember one of the sale guy at circuit city at the time saying, "I wish we would drop this model". He went on to tell me the failure on the powered units were very high. You know there is a problem when the mid level Creative Inspire T7700 7.1, out last the flagship s750. Now, whats my better solution you guy's want to know? Two words , Simplifi Digital! The 7075a 7.1 amplifier along with Definitive Technology Pro Sub1000 and the remaing surround speakers from my s750 system. Yes, it did cost me more to go this route. But what I now have is a much more reliable system. And a sound that the s750 can only dream about. My s750 died while I was listening to Dave Bruebeck quartet "take five" at mid volume. With my current setup, I can listen mid volume all day long with no hiccups.
For those who my have the cash to spend. I recommend looking at my direction!? Keep this in mind, make sure whatever powered subwoofer you choose, is adjustable up to 50hz. The creative surround speakers dont play very well below 20hz. Also make sure whatever powered sub you choose don't use a BASH amplifier. For those looking at the s750 as a purchase, good luck. Or go over to partsexpress.com and get the Dayton Part Number 300-670, surround speakers. Then get the simplifi digital 7075 7.1 amplifier and power subwoofer of your choice and make a better/best system. Sorry Creative Labs! This post is NOT intended to cast negativity. I use and like the products you offer. I just do not like the s750, and the reasons are all over this forum and elsewhere on the net. I currently own 3 audigy 2zs sound cards, three Inspire t7700 speaker system, three sound blasters modems and yes, one defective/dead s750 speaker system. If anything use this post as a positive to what Creative Labs could offer in the future. A system like I now have, sure would be nice with the Creative name all over it.

My system specs below. What I have now simply blows the S750 away. And this is mated to my Audigy 2zs card. I am tempted to try my Terratec Aueron 7.1 universe which does sound better than my 2zs. The Simlifi Digital amplifier is one serious unit. This amp has one HUGE toroidal transformer inside of it! I was able to see it thru the vents on top of the cover. Definitive Technology ProSub 1000 Subwoofer Specifications:Complement: One 10" woofer with polymer cone coupled to one 10" infrasonic radiator

  • My iPod Nano 6th generation iLive speaker system quit on me and now I cannot find a compatible speaker system.  I don't want tiny personal speakers, I use this for music in the family room.

I have 2 iPod Nano 6th generation.  I had them setup with different music from iTunes and I had an iLive Bluetooth docking and speaker system that charged and played them with speakers spaced in the family room.  Not a little personal setup but for reasonably loud music for the whole room.  My iLive system died on me.  It had the 20 pin place to plug in the iPod nano and a clock and the two speakers that were bluetooth.  It was the perfect setup for me.  Now that model has been discontinued and I cannot find anything like it.  Does anyone know what a good option is?  These iPods are only a couple of years old and now obsolete because they don't make anything to play them on.  I don't use earbuds, it's not what I bought them for.  One has our jazz music collection, the other has Christmas music.  I want to hear it throughout the house.

Sorry typo it had a 30 pin place to plug in the iPod Nano

  • The rear left plug-in of my gigaworks 7.1 speaker system is dead. Can anyone help please?

The rear left speaker of my gigaworks 7.1 system all of the sudden stop working. I switched the speakers and the cables from the back of the of the subwoofer and all the speakers worked but when i pluged each of the speakers in? The rear left plug-in on the back of the subwoofer none of them worked. That's how i got to the conclusion that the rear left plug-in for some reason is dead. Can anyone help me with this problem?

I have the same problem and I just sent my sub woofer at a cost of an additional $30 shipping and just got it back to find the one I got back if not the same one LEFT REAR SPEAKER DOES NOT WORK. Before it made distorted noises, now it doesn't nothing. This seems to be a repeating partern I'm seeing here and of course no info in FAQ like popping crackling noise in XFI.... Same thing with the speakers. I love the Mods recommendation, its funny when you catch them giving advice for stuff you've tried without luck and you know lightning rarely strikes twice.... Or posts twice. I'll check back if I figure something out, hope if you find a fix you post it please.
