Could you please explain the risk and impact while Connecting 2 Bw systems to the one R/3.
And also i need information How the delta queues( RSA7) will be available for a single datasource.

You can connect any no. of BI systems to a R/3 system. Since each of the connections is independent of the other(creating/replicating the data staging) - there should not be any risk. Though the question of neccessity does occur.
RSA7 is a transaction to view all the delta datasources active in the system. i.e. only datasources with delta changes in the R/3 will come to delta queue. e.g.
Say A and B are datasources. Say A has some data which has come in delta - so RSA7 will show only datasource A with no. of changed records.

Hi all!
I have to connect two BW Systems to one R3 system. In our last tests we have had problems trying to connect two BW servers simultaneously with R/3 source system because it allows only a logical system name for each R/3 client, and (We guess that we need to define tow diferent logical system name, one for each connection). This has been generating errors when we try to load data from R/3 to BW because, we guess, R/3 does not recognize the BW source system in the ALE connection for someone BW systems at transfer data. In this moment I have one connection active (BW1-R3). The BW2-R3 connection is already inactive. Does anybody know how perform this? we need solve the transfers problem as soon as possible.

SSIS Connection Manager: MSOLAP100 where is the one for SSAS 2012 ?

I have an SSIS project under SSDT, that should process a SSAS 2012 Cube, when I setup the connection, the SSIS Connection Manager gives me only MSOLAP100 as a possible connection manager type. From my understanding this is the one for SQL 2008 R2. Where
is the one for SSAS 2012 and how can I enable it ?
I feel this is a bug in SSDT:

Still it says ConnectionManagerType MSOLAP100, however in the connection string I now have Provider=MSOLAP.5, this seems to be another SSDT bug.

Can i back up my mac and windows operating system on the one hard drive?

Hello everyone, i use a 4TB external hard drive to back up my imac. I recently installed Parallels and Windows 8.1 so I can run a PMS for my business. Now that i have installed Parallels and windows 8.1 on the mac can i format the drive so it will back up the mac and the windows operating system? Thanks!

If you want to back up with Time Machine, you need a GUID partition table and an HFS (Mac OS X) partition. If you can also create a Windows partition without destroying the partition table, then you can use the same drive for both systems. I can't give you specific instructions for Windows.

Unable to connect to Hospital system. The system redirects to an agreement page but ny computer just says I am not connected to the internet. Any ideas?

I am a regular patient at a local hospital that provides free internet access to patients AFTER they accept terms and conditions. I have had no problems until recently when instead of redirecting to the systems acceptance page, I started getting a message that I was not conected to thye internet.
This began about 4 weeks ago and continues. I do not have redirect blocked and have tried Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome to no avail. Please give me some ideas.

Contact the hospital IT staff and ask them if they are using ActiveX. If they are, that's not 100% accessible and against section 508 accessibility guidelines. They should use http://www.anybrowser.org/ as a guide for a platform agnostic website.

Mark and release a new cost estimate in a different system than the one run

Here is my functionnal lanscape: in system A, I am managing all the stocks hence material master data.
In system B, I am managing production, financials and Controlling.
Hence, once I edit a costing run to have a new standard price in system B, how can I mark and release this new standard price for my material that is maintained in system A. Do you know any standard idoc for this purpose ?
Also, how will happen the stock revaluation.

Multiple Discovery Systems on the same network

Is anybody successfully running more than one DS on the same network? We have edited the hostname of the DS but their still seems to be a conflict between the two servers and the SID names cannot be the same as well.

The changing of the hostname is not recommended by SAP, but there is a customer who succeeded in doing so and claims to have even connected 4 Discovery Systems to the same network.
Knowing Maxim, I believe he indeed achieved it.

My only tip: make a backup of the systems before you make any significant changes.

Error when reading the ID of the business system from the SLD

Hi,
I am working on a scenario JDBC - XI - BW (ABAP Proxies). I configured all the steps required to connect XI & BW systems. The SLDCHECK transaction is all green. I was able to connect to SLD from BW using SXMB_IFR tcode too. I was able to look at all the XI Repository interfaces from SPROXY tcode in BW. Created a new ABAP proxy (class interface and method) for the message interface in XI from BW (SPROXY Tcode). Created all required config in XI Directory. Got the message from JDBC adapter, mapping done successfully, and the message failed in the CALL Adapter Step.
The error is "Error when reading the ID of the business system from the SLD for system BWS and client 100."
What could have gone wrong. Thanks in advance.

Connect External GW System

I try to connect two GW2014 System on the same LAN.
The 1 System (old System on OES11 updated from GW 2012 to 2014)
2 Dom: prim. DOM with PO and MTA; sec. DOM with MTA und GWIA
the new System are the same: 2Doms prim. with PO and MTA; sec. with MTA und GWIA
both Systems are up and running (send/receive Mails)
now I try to connect over external GW-System
i try a connect from the prim. DOM new System (with the PO) to the prim DOM old System
The Link is at both side from the external Domn direct to the prim. Domn (Port 7100)
at booth sides the status from the MTA (prim.DOM ): Open Direct Link to Domain (ext)
If I try a telnet over 7100 from one Server to the other Server- it connect.
But if I try synchronize external System (I check the send and receive option) - it dosnt work - nothing no DOM, no PO, no User
anyone have an idea

Mapping of Quality System (Source System) after the Transport

Hi,
We have two quality source systems like 300,400 in sync with the development ,to extract the data . I am transporting Transfer rule mapping from the development .After the transport to Quality , the changes are reflected in 300 . But I want to change it from 300 to 400 i.e.Transfer rule mapping should be reflected in 400. What is the transaction code used to change this mapping in BW System?

When you transport - you have a transport mapping in your dev system that tells BI which system connects to which system in the QA system for instance
FLAT_FILE in DEV could be Z_FLATFILE in QA - accordingly the datasources are mapped. Also the transfer rules are source system specific which means that you change the source system - the transfer rules will have to be recreated.
Instead what I am asking you is to maintain the mappings for client 400 in DEV and then maintain the mappings as 400 - 400 in the qa system and then transport the same. If your dev systems are linked to QA300 and your mapping says QA400 the same will hold good.. however if you have QA300 in dev to be sent to QA as QA300 and then change the source system .. it will not work since this will be seen as a source system change and you cannot change the same. You could try BDLS and try changing the logical client name ( I am not sure if it is BDLS ) or change the RFC connection parameters in SM59 but am not sure if it would work....

I think the operating system is the one exception to the rule that usually the purchase is linked to the Apple ID rather than the machine, but with operating systems (Lion, Mountain Lion) the purchase is tracked on the machine instead.

System crash at one end, extremely slow on the other: Using Adobe Connect.

The instructor side is a mac. I can get more info on that later. My system is a windows 7 based unit using Firefox 5.0. I will fill that in later but suffice it to say that all software is up to latest versions on both sides.
Using Adobe Connect for an online class, the instructor's Mac computer kept crashing. He could conduct the class for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, I saw that when he was connected, my system would slow down to slower than a crawl. If I were to type in these three lines, it would take 3 - 4 minutes just to show up on the screen. When his system crashed, my system would run fine and, as I was still linked to Connect I could talk and chat with the other students. I have the windows tachometer on the screen and it is pinned while he was on line and scarcely above 10 when he was not.
Does this make any sense?
When I check the task manager, it showed that Plugins_container.exe was taking up the CPU time. I looked into defeating the Plugin-Container but that didn't help. I changed over to Internet Explorer but that didn't help. I used a newly set up laptop and IE but that didn't help. It could be my fire wall but it only happend when his system is connected.
If anyone has amy insights on any of all this I would sincerely appreciate hearing about it.

None of that is normal behaviour of Connect.
I suspect perhaps a network firewall or maybe anti-virus scanning.
I suggest that you install the latest Adobe Connect Add-In for the Host or anyone using VOIP audio. The new add-ins are posted to www.connectusers.com under downloads. A new one for each OS was posted a few weeks ago to go with Adobe Connect 8.1.1 and previous versions.

Office 2013 - Word cannot establish a connection with this document after the system resumed from suspend mode

This issue has been answered numerous times for Office 2010 and Office 2007, but I have yet to any solutions or Hotfixes that work for Office 2013 (x64) on Win7.
How to replicate the issue:
Open a file from a network share.
Edit file.
Leave computer on with file open. Computer goes to sleep or into stand-by mode.
Wait a bit
Wake up computer
CPU opens file in Read-Only mode and gives you the following error "Word cannot establish a network connection with this document after the system resumed from suspend mode. Save the document into a different file to keep any changes."
What I've tried:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2434898 - Office 2007 registry fixes. Does not apply.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2413659 - Office 2010 problem. This exact issue. Says 'No microsoft products that match this hotfix are installed'
Work Around:
I can saving new versions of these files overrides this issue, but this is sometimes not possible for end-users who only have specific access to ONE SPECIFIC FILE in a particular network share.
Please let me know how I can alleviate this issue!
