Connecting 2 speakers

Was wondering if it is possible to connect my ipod to 2 speakers - one is a BOSE dock & I would connect via the 30 pin connector (it's an older ipod). If I do, can I also connect a Bluetooth speaker at the same time
Want to setup for a party & by having 2 we wouldn't need to have high volume on either
Anyone know if it will work?

I think you can only select one audio output.
With BT earphones I could only select the earphones or the internal speaker; not both.
I do not have a dock to test your installation.

Can I share my internet from my Imac with my Ipad and simultaneously connect to a airport express that I use to remotely to connect speakers?
The big problem that I'm having is that when internet sharing via the airport I can not simultaneously connect with my airport express.  It would be great to be able to share internet from my Imac so I can be using my Ipad and at the sametime have my wife use the airport express to stream music in a different room. It would be awesome to be able to have the ability to do both. Does anybody know how?

  • ATV2 - connecting speakers without receiver

I am planning to buy ATV2. I am interested in streaming music through ATV2. Is it possible to connect speakers to ATV2 without using receiver, I mean whether speakers can be directly connected with ATV2. During listening of music TV should be turned off.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You wouldn't need a receiver if you have powered speakers with an optical input. However you may find that if you turn your TV off while playing music that the Apple TV turns itself off and won't play.

  • Need Laptop Audio Amplifier for USB Connected Speakers

For a laptop, does Creative have any kind of audio amplifier for USB connected speakers?
I think the laptop has what is called an Express 54 slot.
I am looking for amplification suitable for speakers, not headphones.

If their only connection to the laptop is via USB than you can't amp them without doing some internal modifications. It means the speakers have their own audio device internally which is receiving signal via the USB port, processing it and then outputting it via likely a weak amp stage to the speakers - you'd have to physically intercept that last part of the chain to add an amplifier.
Not saying it can't be done but you're looking at either harvesting an existing amp (which Creative don't seem to sell) or creating one from scratch (like the Penguin Mint amp, Objective 2, etc) for the purpose.

  • I would like to connect speakers and microphone to my Mac but I only have 1 input/output

    Hello!
My MacBook have only 1 miniJack input/output...
Is there a way or some hardware/software to connect my Mac to the speakers to amplify sound and, in the same time, the mixer to Mac to record?
    Many thanks
    Cristina

If the track you want isn't available in the Australian iTunes Store, then you will have to look for another source from which to purchase the music; another download store, import CDs, etc. Otherwise, contact the artist and/or the applicable record company and urge them to release the music in the Australian iTunes Store.
    Regards.

  • How do I connect speakers to ipod

Recently purchased Harmon Kardon Soundsticks I second hand, and an ipod dock. Both have a USB port how do I connect the two together? I am female and not very good with electrical goods!!!!
      Windows XP

"Recently purchased Harmon Kardon Soundsticks I second hand, and an ipod dock. Both have a USB port"
The Apple iPod dock most definitely does not have a USB port. The usb interface on the speakers is for connecting to the computer.
Is there a mini jack socket on the rear of these speakers (like the headphone socket on the iPod)?
Everything needed to connect the Soundsticks to an iPod should be included (although the seller may not have given you what you need). The stereo mini jack audio cable is what you need.
Like this one ---> mini jack cable.
Connect one end to the speakers and the other to the "line out" socket on the iPod dock.

  • Connecting speakers to dvd player

I'm planning to buy a Creative Inspire 5200, and im wondering if I can connect it in my dvd player?

    Hi Jason,
In such a case, can i assume that the speakers alone are sufficient to amplify the sound of the DVD player with the builtin decoder? Will the volume control of the speakers be sufficient to provide audible sound from the DVD's audio signal?
    Thanks.

  • Connecting speakers and headset together on Qosmio G30

My question is, if it is possible to use two different audio out on Qosmio G30. It has two connectors, but seems to be connected together. I want to use my Qosmio with virtual DJ, one audio channel for speakers and one for preparing music (for headset). I want to have one music on speakers and one on headset for better mixing.
Is this possible, or must I buy one more external audio card? Is this inside audio card two channels or not?
    Thanks

    Hello
I have made follow test: Qosmio G30 connected to LCD TV. One headphone port connected to TV and second one to my headphones. On both sides I have had sound (the same music). After changing ports the sound was still there.
I can say follow: You can hear just the same music on both ports at the same time but if you want to use two different things I think you must buy some external solution.

  • Need help connecting speakers to soundcard

I need to know what cable/s to connect from my Audigy2 Value to my Creative Inspire 5.1 Digital 5600 speakers. When running the Creative Speaker Settings app, I can never hear the center speaker or subwoofer.
Can anyone tell me what I need to connect, where? Also, what settings should I have my speakers set to?

    apackard,
Signal coming from the headphone jack is only Stereo and is normal that you have only front L/R output only. You can check out the Creative DDTS-100 decoder that may suit your need in this area. With the decoder, it had the feature of Dolby Pro Logic II. This feature enable Stereo program to be upmix to 5.1 effect as what you wanted. You can check the decoder for more info at

  • Connecting speakers direct to soundcard

    Hey guys,
Since I spilt beer on my Inspire 5.1 5700 amplifier, I can't get any sound from my front right speaker. Is it possible to connect the speakers directly to my sound card? (I have a Live! 5.1, and also onboard sound which has more connections) I know what cables and jacks I'll need, but I'm just wondering if it'll work at all without the decoder amplifier.
    Thanks for any help,
    Nick

Sorry, but no. The Extreme does not incorporate any audio circuitry to support this feature.

  • Connecting speakers to Airport with "Triple Stereo Line-In"

    Hi there...
I have been looking through the forums and so far havn't found anything to help me, so I thought I would try and post a subject myself...
I have been happily living with two speakers connected to Airport foor wireless connection through iTunes for the last year or so now but I have just realised we have an old, and rather fantastic, sound system that has been hidden away.
The only trouble is that it was originally for an old computer tower which has three stereo slots (im no good with terminology). Baisically, each end of the wire (which connects between the computer and the sound system) has 3 'plugs' - a green one, a yellow one and a black one. Airport, however, has only one slot... do you see my problem...! I can plug in the black one into airport and two of the 5 speakers work... but thats not good enough!!
I was wondering if anyone knew how to solve this??? Whether iit is buying a new cable or giving up on the iidea altogether!!
Any help wiill be much appreciated..
    Thanks!
    James

No, the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS), like most Internet routers except the AirPort Express Base Station (AX), doesn't offer any audio capability.

  • Dv6700: I cant hear music in the external sound when i connect speakers

My internal speakers works fine, but when i connect external speakers the sound dosent go and im still hearing with the internal... when i do a external check sound i hear the "bip" in my external speakers... All this start to happen after i upgrate my audio driver

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
    Apple - iPod Repair price
A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.

    Replace the jack yourself

  • Problem having ATV (1G) audio play to Airport Express connected speakers

I've had some difficulties trying to have my ATV (1st Gen) act as a jukebox and play its audio on speakers connected to an Airport Express. When I select the remote speakers on the ATV it attempts to connect to them, spins for a while, and then gives up. The same speakers work fine if I remotely connect to them from a Mac running iTunes instead. I'd really like to use this feature with the ATV since it is always on and I can control it from anywhere on my network using my iPhone.
Anyone else having any success using the ATV to play to remote speakers?

You are mistaken. The Apple TV (1st Gen) can stream music to an Airport Express over AirTunes. It is selectable in the ATV settings display, and in the Apple Remote iPhone application, and I've successfully done it before. However, it does not always connect to the speakers properly, whereas a Mac running iTunes has no problem.
