Connecting 80 gig I-pod to t.v.

My video is in black and white and also the vertical hold is running. This occurs when I am using a regular T.V. When I connect to a Phillips plasma, I receive only audio. I would appreciate any help. Thank-You.

Which cable do you use to hook up to the TV? Perhaps the cable is defective/damaged/bad?

for some reason i tunes wont connect to my i pod touch beause of unknown error. Does anyone know whats going on?

You seem to have a lot of #fff codes in the CSS files that obviously aren't found with the long #ffffff search term (#fff finds them)
Make sure that the match case box isn't selected on the Find bar (Ctrl+F)

  • My 30 gig I pod stays on - intermittent

I read the forum looking for my problem but can't find it. I have had a 30 gig I pod and had no problems with it up until about a month ago. When I finish listening either thru buds or the car I hit pause and the I pod usually takes about a minute then the screen goes dark at it shuts which is normal. But sometimes I hit pause and it never shuts, the backscreen goes dim but the last menu looked at stays and if I forget and leave it overnight it ***** the battery down. Any help?

  • Connecting 1st Gen i-pod to comp without firewire port

Does anyone know any way to connect a first generation ipod to a windows computer without a firewire port? Because it is first generation the i-pod only has a firewire port on it and is not compatable with a dock connector. Is there any cable i can buy which will adapt a firewire port to a usb port?
    Thanks

No, if you want to use that iPod, get a Firewire card for your computer. I recommend the Adaptec Fireconnect 4300 for desktop PCs or the Adaptec Fireconnect 1430 for notebook PCs.

  • I upddated my I Pad and installed I Cloud now I connect find the I Pod feature, I download books from the library when I connect it to the computer it shows the book in the I Pad but I cannot find where to open it

I updated my I Pad now I cannot see the I Pod Icon that is where the books I download from the library where before.  I also noticed that I Pod Icon disappeared from my I Phone.  When I connect my I Pad to the computer it shows the book there, but I cannot figure out how to access it.

There is a OneClickdigital ereader available in the App Store. Download that to your iPod to read pdfs and books from the library. And you might need to download the OneClickdigital eaudio player to listen to audiobooks from the library. Once both are downloaded sync you iPod again to transfer them.

  • I have a netgear n300 wirless adsl2 modem router and i can't connect to my i pod touch help please

i pod touch won't connect to my netgear modem router (n300)

    haghop,
Do you have a base airport station? What is your internet setup? Is this simply an Airport express that will not be connected at all to a modem with internet access?
Based on what you've said, I'm guessing the answers to the above questions are yes. If so, you'll want to make sure it's set to factory defaults. Hold in the reset button with a paper clip until the light begins to flash. Let it restart and quit flashing. (I'm sorta newbieish, I don't think you're gonna see a green light, I think that means "internet access" However, I think you should see solid amber)
After it's quit flashing, choose your airport station from the Airport dropdown menu in the menu bar. Go to Airport Setup assistant in utilities. Your new AX should show up and be ready to be configured as a plain ol' iTunes streamer.

  • How do I reformat a Mac 30 gig I pod to windows. I get error message 1413?

How do I reformat an I pod from mac to windows?

I was told that I could reformat a external so that my Mac could read both Mac and Windows info.
Aside of using crappy FAT32 with its 4GB limitation or the not really better ExFAT, there are two alternative ways:
Enable your Mac to "understand" Windows NTFS.
There also at least two ways. MacFuse/ntfs-3g for the more experienced user ( http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com/ ) or Pargon's NTFS for Mac ( http://www.paragon-software.com ) for the not so experienced.
Enable your Windows machine to "understand" Mac's HFS+ filesystem. on a similar way.

  • Can you connect 5th generation i-pod to portable dvd player

I have recently purchased an Amstrad portable dvd player and was wondering if it is possible to view my saved movies from my i-pod video onto my portable dvd player. Was told by local shop it wasn't as you only had option of audio and not video. The portable dvd player came supplied with cables to watch movies through the portable player and onto a tv

A portable DVD player normally only has OUTPUT jacks and would not have a reason to support input jacks. So there would be no place to INPUT your iPod signals.
So the first question is, does the portable DVD player have actual INPUT ports?

  • Reading something into a mike connected to an I-pod

I'm trying to submit mp3 recordings of my poetry to some internet radio stations, & using a taperecorder & i-mik hasn't worked.
I have an i-pod shuffle. someone told me to get a griffin mik, attach it to my I-pod & read my poem into it. Then what I read will be downloaded to I-tunes, and converted to an mp3. It wll be a digital recording. Was I given the accurate info? I thought that you couldn't download anything from an I-pod, but this person says that she does all the time.

    Hi,
You mentioned a tape recorder. You mean your computer, I gather. If the sound level is low, your microphone is in need of pre-amplification to reach the level needed for your situation. There are a number of different ways to proceed. You do not need to upgrade your OS if you don't want to. One method is to get a microphone with the right "impedance." Some microphones (I have a couple of Apple branded ones) give the result you describe. Other ones (I have an Apple 'desktop' microphone that works clear as a bell - much better than the other Apple brand ones that I have. The two 'soft' microphones I own need an accessory for increasing the level such as the pre-amplification mentioned above. In addition to the pre-amplifier is something called an 'interface' by Griffin Technology which they call an iMike. The iMike plugs into your computer USB jack and gives you the choice of a microphone input with or without amplification. It makes the whole set-up much easier. It works with applications such as GarageBand and also with the OS directly.
It will give you MUCH better quality audio than a tape recorder or an unmodified iPod.
Good Luck, I hope this helps.

  • Can the 7510 WLAN controller connect via Gig Ethernet not 10G?

Is it possible just to use the 2 x 1Gb connections, not the 10Gb ports?

The 1Gb ports are not meant for data connection.

  • Why have I lost over 1gig on my 8 gig I pod and can I reset my pod and not lose any of my app's

    Help

Some is used for the ipod operatig system.  The rest is due to the reporting method.  The same is true of your computer and most any other device.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte
    Consumer confusion
Since the early 2000s most consumer hard drive capacities are grouped in certain size classes measured in gigabytes. The exact capacity of a given drive is usually some number above or below the class designation. Although most manufacturers of hard disk drives and flash-memory disk devices define 1 gigabyte as 1000000000bytes, software like Microsoft Windows reports size in gigabytes by dividing the total capacity in bytes by1073741824, while still reporting the result with the symbol "GB". This practice is a cause of confusion, as a hard disk with an advertised capacity of, for example, "400 GB" (meaning 400000000000bytes) might be reported by the operating system as only "372 GB". Other software, like Mac OS X 10.6[3] and some components of the Linux kernel[4] measure using the decimal units. The JEDEC memory standards uses the IEEE 100 nomenclatures which defines a gigabyte as 1073741824bytes (or 230 bytes).[5]
The difference between units based on SI and binary prefixes increases as a semi-logarithmic (linear-log) function—for example, the SI kilobyte value is nearly 98% of the kibibyte, a megabyte is under 96% of a mebibyte, and a gigabyte is just over 93% of a gibibyte value. This means that a 300 GB (279 GiB) hard disk is indicated only as 279 GB. As storage sizes increase and larger units are used, this difference becomes even more pronounced. Some legal challenges have been waged over this confusion such as a suit against Western Digital.[6][7] Western Digital settled the challenge and added explicit disclaimers to products that the usable capacity may differ from the advertised capacity.[7]
Because of its physical design, computer memory capacity is a multiple of base 2, thus, memory size at the hardware level can always be factored by a power of two. It is thus convenient to use binary units for non-disk memory devices at the hardware level, for example, in boards using DIMMmemory. That is, a memory capacity of 1073741824bytes, for example, is conveniently expressed as 1 GiB as opposed to 1.074 GB. Software applications, however, allocate memory in varying degrees of granularity as needed to fulfill data structure requirements and binary multiples are usually not required. Other computer measurements, like storage hardware size, data transfer rates, clock speeds, operations per second, etc., do not depend on an inherent base, and are usually presented in decimal units."

  • BT HH 4 - GigE port - connection to switch

Anyone know how I can connect the GigE port to a switch at 1Gbps?
I connect the HH4 GigE port to my computer and it does so at 1Gbps (according to Windows XP)
I connect my computer to a netgear GS608 and it does so at 1Gbps (according to Netgear status lights and Windows XP)
I connect the HH4 GigE port to the GS608 and it does so at 100Mbps!! (according to the status lights on the GS608)
    Cat 5 cable used - BT Home Hub 4 (Type A) | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.130.1.10 | Last updated 20/08/13

    correct about cable.
Cat5 is not suited for Gig speeds.
Cat5E can cope but again would be the weak link if the hardware can utilize the speeds.
Your switch maybe picking up the inablilitly of the Cat5 cable to produce the right speeds and is auto switching down to maxamize stability. Borrow or buy a Cat6 cable and try that out
If I've helped, just click the Star - Every little bit helps
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
