Connecting a 20mb fiber / ethernet point to point CISCO 1841 Need help

Here is the remote router config

Okay perhaps I am over thinking the situation but for some reason its not clicking, and maybe I am overlooking something. So my rule is if I spend more than 30 min on something and I cant get anywhere I start pulling resources ;-) So here goes.Currently we have 2 1841 routers configured between out two locations, these are connected through two T1 serial connections (Multilinked). QOS (as rudimentry as it is) is configured on the Multilink. See below. We recently went with a fiber connection (terminated via ethernet), the plan is to use the free FastEthernet (0/1) for the connection between the routers, and then disable/eliminate the T1 connections. Here is the current configuration for both routers. I Have added the new config for the ethernet connection and assigned them an IP address, and it seems that we can ping between the...

I can't connect to wifi network and bluetooth on iPhone 4S.  Need help.  Have already rebooted everything and reset network setting

I have the same problem; tried a phone restore, both restoring data and setting up as new phone with factory settings, reset all settings, re-boot, remove apostrophe, put in fridge, you name it!
I think there's quite a few iphone 4s users with the same problem!
I called Apple they said it's a hardware problem, but it has worked for nearly two years; they say go to the Apple store and they can provide a replacement phone for approx. £150!
I've been into the O2 shop where I bought it and they knew the problem exactly; said they had sent a few phones off for repair and had them back awith a report they cannot fix it because it's a software problem!
An assistant in the shop had the same issues; logic says it's a software problem and hopefully Apple will fix it with a patch but at the moment they seem to be avoiding everyones comments!
If anyone else has any ideas these would be appreciated?

  • Null pointer problems. Need help

I have a class that scrolls text across the screen. the class is a Jpanel and uses a thread to produce a scroller effect. The panel is created and called in the constructor and uses a String Array.
This application is now a client and its server sends over a new String array as an object to the client uses stream sockets. I wish to use this new Server string array but since no array exists until it connects i suppse thats the reason im getting null pointer exceptions.
What can i do to solve this problem?

Do you get a stack trace printed to the console window? Look at the stack trace. It tells you in which line of your source code the NullPointerException occurred. Go to that place in your source code and find out what happens. Fix the problem in the source code.

  • Folder with exlamation point...NEED HELP!!!

ok... i got this ipod with video.... pluged it into the old itunes software, it worked fine untill 2 days ago when it stopped working, then got the folder with exclamation... installed new software that came with ipod but still not working
    ummm... sony vaio   Windows XP

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
To go further with what Masna said, read this article. It may help a little bit more because when your iPod shows the folder/! icon, it's usually because you disconnected it during a service and has crashed.
There's also an article by Da Gopha on it, and I'm searching for it and will give it to you when I find it.
    Hope this helps!

P.S. Masna, I can't find my disk drive CDs. :\

  • Lost connection between Power Book G4 and Brother Printer/Fax.  Need help.

I am a new Mac user and until recently had a successful wireless connection to the Brother printer/fax. Address # 192.168.1.100 While printing a job I ran out of ink. I turned the printer off to replace the cartridge and lost the connection to the wireless powerbook. The printer works because it prints jobs from the PC that it is connected to by wire. So far I have clicked on "system preferences", clicked print and fax, Clicked + ato add printer and put the address in. Nothing is working. The message says, cannot connect to printer. I need serious, detailed help. My husband connects everything and gets it running and he just left for Iraq! Thanks so much!!

Hello! In the printer setup utility choose "show Jobs" and see if you can click on "start jobs". It's probably gotten stuck because it ran out of ink. Tom

  • I'm having trouble with my iphone4 connecting to my home wifi - nothing has changed so, I need help! Thx

I'm having trouble connecting to wifi. It doesn't recognize any of the networks I usually connect with, including my own. Can anyone help?

Try reboot your router, update router firmware from the manufacturer website.
In iPhone's Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try reconnect again to your Wi-Fi.
Lastly, do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.

my screen just turned blank white randomly and now it won't turn off/reset or connect to a computer or really do anything... need help.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • G4  (10.4.11) airport (9.52) wifi connectivity issue w WPA access point

I am struggling to resolve a wi-fi connectivity issue between a G4 imac with airport card and a netgear wireless-n access point.
The set up is as follows - the broadband comes into a Netgear router (DG834Gv5)which my Intel imac connects wirelessly to. Two daughter's den is away downstairs so I run an ethernet cable from the main netgear router to a netgear Pro-safe wireless access point (WNAP210) as an extender (we live on a houseboat so there are metal bulkheads and the like inbetween.
In the den older daughters G5 wirelessly connects to the Netgear access point easily through a WPA-PSK connection.
Younger daughters G4 running 10.4.11, with original airport card running firmware 9.52 (airport admin utility 4.2) refuses with the 'wrong password' error (it isn't - I have checked 50x) or sometimes just 'there was an error joining'.
It can see the network strongly (the airport menubar icon goes full, then cuts, then flashes on, then drops) but refuses any traffic.
This G4 can however connect, weakly, with my upstairs router which is also WPA-PSK protected (same password)!
I have read all the forums on this and despite some non-expert posts muddling the issue I believe that this SHOULD be possible. Not WPA2 I know but basic WPA.
In addition the options in the netgear extender are b&g (like upstairs which works), g or n. So I have selected b&g - no difference.
Currently I have had to set a separate channel for her and leave it unsecured which isn't a long term option (I am just hoping that even the cleverest war-driver cant sneak in through the extender, back up to the traffic between my Intel and the main router !!?)
Can anyone suggest what I might be missing in the conjuration (sic, ahem) configuration settings either on the G4 or the Netgear box ?
Is it enough to turn the broadcasting of the open channel name off and so render it invisible ?
Thanks in advance for any expert person's attention

    hi kathryn
did it have to be the Telekom, by all means??
anyway, first of all a link to a video where a german comedian writes a letter to steve jobs demanding he chose any carrier but the DTAG for the iPhone distribution in germany - really funny!
    http://bit.ly/4B4OdQ
OK, I´m currently downloading the speedport manual from their website and will look through it, in order to see if there´s something in there..
as a first guess I´d try looking at the wireless prefs of that speedport box. I guess it supports by default 802.11a/b/g, whereas the G4 only does 802.11b (the "normal" airport). Try selecting only the 802.11b portion from the speedport (that makes networking somewhat slower for airport express computers, but shoudn´t be a problem since it´s still at least as fast as basic DSL service (11MBit vs 2 or 6 MBit)
    cheers

  • Directly Connect Two Macs Via Ethernet

This has certainly been answered before, but a quick search didn't give any results. So here goes ...
I wanted to connect two macs via ethernet. I use the mount tool in finder "connect to server" all the time with machines on a network, but I've never done with with two macs directly connected.
So I connect them and my first instinct is to check the IP address of the machine I want to connect to. I then go to "connect to server" and type it in using the AFP protocol, but it doesn't work.
At this point I'm stumped and not sure what to do. I don't use the "network" item in the finder sidebar very often but I clicked it, and sure enough the machine I want to connect to was listed, and I was able to connect / mount.
So here's my question ... if I wanted to use "connect to server" tool, or even mount it manually with the mount command, how would I do it? Is it using AFP still to mount and the IP address is just bogus? Something else going on?

But I'm telling you I tried using the IP address ... here, let me try again ...
I find this address on the machine I want to connect to: 169.254.177.122
I put this into "connect to server" on the machine I want to connect from: afp://169.254.177.122
It spins for a while, then says it can't connect. Strangely, if I do a cmd-i on the machine in the network sidebar, it says: nfs:// automount ... into /Network
So are you sure putting in the ip should work? If so what am I doing wrong?
Okay ... plot thickens. When I cmd-i after I connect, it indeed says it is an AFP connect, but it gives the "local" name, say powerbook.local. But then, if I "ping powerbook.local" if gives me back the same IP I tried in connect to server. Huh?
    mbp:~ rjcarr$ ping powerbook.local
    PING powerbook.local (169.254.177.122): 56 data bytes
Weird. It isn't that big of a deal ... I just like to know what is going on.

  • Need help finding wired access point or range extender?

I currently have a EA6500 in a rather large home.  (4500 sq ft)   The router is on one side of the house and my office is on the other side of the house where wireless does not work well.   I am trying to use Samsung Tablet but the connection keeps dropping here.  when I move the tablet closer it works fine.
Is there a range extender/access point I can purchase to use with the EA6500 where I can connect device via wired ethernet?
If I connect range extender/access point to EA6500 router via wireless the signal in my office appears too weak to be extended properly?  I tried the RE1000 but was not successful.
Please let me know if there is another product to try.
    Thank you.

Was this extender working fine before and you’re trying to reconfigure its settings? In order for this to work properly, the wireless settings for the main router should be synchronized to it. After making sure that the wireless settings are synchronized, place the extender to an area in between the router and where you want to repeat the signal. If you will encounter connection problems after setting up the extender, you can reset the extender and reconfigure the settings. Make sure as well that the firmware is upgraded. For more info about setting up the range extender, you can refer to the following links:  What to do before manually setting up your range extender, Setting up the range expander without the installation CD, Getting to Know the WRE54G v3.

  • Connecter l'ipad en ethernet

    Bonjour,
