Connecting a camera directly to iTouch with the new 3.0....

Is it possible? I am traveling for several months over seas and want to be able to share my photo's without having to bring a computer, just my camera and iTouch.

How about buying a used iPhone and not using its cell service? You'd have a camera plus all the features of the iPod Touch. (I assume that wi-fi would work.)
Hmm... that's something I should look into myself, actually! The camera is the one thing I miss with the IPT!
You'd only have to bring along one item. (Well, OK, you may be into photography, so that won't work so well.) Hmm... perhaps picking up one of those low-end netbooks, even if Windows, would work for you!
In any event, I'd recommend joining one of those photo sharing sites so that your photos could be uploaded and backed-up-- otherwise you run the risk of losing all your memory cards, or your camera being stolen and there go all your memories (well, pictures of them!)

2) You need to paste the lyrics into the lyrics tab of a song/album.
3) You need to re-sync the Touch.
4) When playing music, you click on the album cover (in portrait mode only) and the lyrics will superimpose on the screen.

How can I connect my iphone to my computer with the new upgrades? My mac (old) cannot support the new itunes and my phone can't connect to it.

I have a macbook that I purchased in 2007 with operating system Mac OS X Version 10.5.8. I recently did the new software upgrade on my iPhone and now my iPhone and my computer cannot connect. I tried downloading the newest iTunes but it is not supported by my software. What can I do now? (Other than buy a new computer).

Is the new iTunes library on a different computer, or the same computer?
Are you concerned about photos that you have taken with the iPhone in the Camera Roll, or photos you have synced to the iPhone from your computer?
Contacts should be configured to sync with an app on your computer. You set this up in iTunes on the Info tab with the iPhone connected. You will not lose any contacts if the app on your computer has at least one contact.

With iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar that used to show on previous versions of iTunes via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC. You can then select the Apps part of your iTunes library on that sidebar and on the right-hand side of iTunes click the Check For Updates button at the bottom to see if any of your apps have updates available. Then connect your phone and select it on the sidebar, and on the Apps tab on the right-hand side click the Sync button at the bottom of it to copy the updates over

I bought the new Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt and instead of buying a new external monitor, i am thinking that the new iMac with Thunderbolt is a great idea.

I understood your question perfectly and the answer is absolutely yes. When you change the iMac into target display mode you underlying operating system continues to run all existing applications. For example in my case if I finished editing some video and am about to enter a lengthy render process or something which may draw lots of resources like hand real, I set it to start on the iMac and then switch it to target display mode to use it as a monitor with my MacBook air in the meantime.
Only one small caveat in your case though. Since the target display mode is a feature of OSX (eg the OS interprets the special key stroke and changes the iMac into target display mode) you should make sure Lion server supports the target display mode feature. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't but that's the only thing currently crossing my mind. Keep in mind the compatibilities between ports as noted in my blog. If any of your machines have mini display port and you intend to connect the new iMac in target display mode you will run into issues. In that special scenario, I recommend buying a refurb iMac from 2010 which urtilize the displayport allowing you to use it as a display for all your macs -- those with thunderbolt as well as those with displayport. If you have thunderbolts then definitely go with the thunderbolt iMac.

I have a older mac and am going to buy a camera/mic to install so when the new Yosemite x comes out I will be able to answer my phone from the computer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which camera/mic to purchase for this?

I would expect the Yosemite list to be about the same as what is well-supported today.
This guy (Mac Gizmo guy) has done some research and lists on his site cameras that work with Macs AND are available on amazon.com.
I believe his recommendations are accurate, BUT -- Full Disclosure: gets some payments from amazon for his service.

Why is my iSight camera is not working with the new Mac Pro?

I connected the iSight camera which is a FireWire 400 into a Sonnet FireWire 800 adapter, and connected that into a FireWire to ThunderBolt adapter and plugged directly into the Mac Pro running Mave. I receive power, noted by the green light coming on, but the computer does not recognize a camera. Does anyone have an idea why this is.

We are all busy with many other problems in Pages 5.
Unless you have found some real reason to use Pages 5 just go back to Pages '09 which should still be in your Applications folder, until Apple sorts this all out.

Why am I re-directed by plomedia with the new firefox?

Re-installed/un-installed several times. I have the newest/updated Norton and Mal-ware tools, etc.
Example: Google, type in Easter,click selected site and I see English text and then plomedia search, and often another search or shopping site appears.
i am not having said problem on IE9.
I believe browser was hijacked/compromised. However with complete clean removal and new installations it seems to worsen.

I use Firefox 95% of the time, and there's no problem with flash content (and I'm still at .55 - downloaded .64 last week but I haven't got round to making the change yet). At the rate they've been changing it recently it may well be out of date already .
I've been trying it in Safari, too with no problems apart from You Tube, but that's because I'm blocking Google cookies.
One thought does occur - if your Flash preferences are set to block all Local Storage, it may be that the problem site is trying to use Flash cookies (LSOs). I had this problem recently with the BBC iPlayer streaming content. Little Snitch notified an attempt to connect to a new URL - emp.bbci.co.uk.
If I disallowed it, no streaming; when I allowed the connection, it still wouldn't stream, so I did a bit of digging and came to the conclusion that it was trying to set a Flash cookie. When I unblocked, lo and behold - streaming resumed as normal.
I now have LSOs blocked in a more subtle way that lets the site think it's being set (but it ain't) and the streaming still works.
As for permissions repair - always repair from local; the permissions on the original disc will have been superceded by updates and new installations of Apple software.
DU needs to be reading the packages on the HD, not the (now out of date) install disc.
The recurring repair messages are normal and don't mean anything's wrong. As long as the final message is 'repair complete' there's no need to dwell on it.

Isn't it fun trying to do things without an ethernet cable direct to the computer.. Apple sell a usb to ethernet adapter cable fairly cheap.. makes life a lot easier having something to do hard connections.. or as hard as usb can manage.
Since you have to access the TC by wireless .. press and hold the reset button on the TC for about 10sec until front led flashes rapidly.. don't worry about the ethernet cable.. leave it disconnected.
Now click on the airport symbol and join another network. The TC should revert to its home name.. which will be a combo of Time Capsule and its MAC address. There is no wireless security and you can do the setup.

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!
