Connecting a WRT54G v2 to BEFSR41. How do I do it to get internet access with both?

So recently I just bought a BEFSR41 to split the internet coming from a cat5e cable from the WRT54G so I can get internet on both my xbox 360 and computer, but I've run into a bunch of issues. First off, I've tried turning my BEF into an access point by creating a new IP, disabling DHCP and connecting it to a numbered port, but I can't get internet from that solution. I've called tech support to see if they could help but I just wasted 2 hours of their time because all the solutions they tried didn't work either. So I'm wondering if its my cable thats the problem. Its a CAT5e cable branched through my room to the office room I say about 50 to 100 feet away. I receive internet through this cable when i connect it to the computer but when i connect it to the xbox it doesnt even register an ip. Also when i connect this cable to my very old netgear router RT314, it can receive internet but it has trouble with connecting to different users. Any help will be much appreciated. Can't get internet access with WRT54G router

I recently purchased a used WRT54G. I replaced my old wired linksys router with it and my hosts are able to get dhcp addresses from the router, but they cannot access the Internet. I have tried to use dchp release and renew buttons under the status tab in the router's web-based gui to get a public IP address, but can't get one. I have attempted to reset the router to its factory settings, but I still can't get the public IP. I have no problem getting an IP and Internet access with my old router and the WRT54G works if I disable its dchp and daisy chain it to the old one. Maybe I need to do something else for a complete reset of the router. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jack

the router that you just purchased was maybe configured for a different network before that's why it did not work initially. after making the router back to its' factory defaults, you should reconfigure or set-up the router.. If you have CABLE ISP, enable ''mac address clone'' on the router's set-up page under the set-up tab. then check if you can get a public ip address after that.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

Normally, AirPort Utility is not used or needed to set up Time Machine backups......unless a default setting on the Time Capsule to Enable File Sharing has been changed.
On the other hand, if you open AirPort Utility, a picture of the Time Capsule should be displayed. Are you saying here that the Time Capsule does not appear when you open AirPort Utility?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

The Creative Cloud subscription is not OS specific as it's licensed via your Adobe ID.
You can purchase a single subscription and use it on 2 machines irrespective of it being Windows or Mac.

Because your Creative Suite applications are installed directly on your computer, you will not need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis. However, you will need to be online when you install and license your software, and at least once every 30 days thereafter. The software will alert you when you need to connect to the Internet for a license status check.
However, if the product is unable to verify your license at the 30 day mark, a 7-day grace period will begin giving you a little extra time. If you are not able to access internet within those 7 days, your applications will be blocked (Source: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4513667#4513667)
Unfortunately, there is no way to "force" the verification process to make sure that the check doesn't happen right as you are starting your 2 weeks away.

How do I get Internet access on my ibook G3?

I just got my cousin's old laptop. He had his own seperate phone line for it but I can't afford that. Can I share the Internet from my computer at home(which is a Compaq with Windows XP) with my laptop? I have the mushroom looking product and the cables for it but I don't know how to get my laptop onto the internet. My laptop has an airport card in it also. How can I get my laptop to pick up the signal and get onto the internet? A quick response would be much appreciated. Also let me know if my question is not clear enough.

How does your other computer connect to the internet? Is it dial up (a phone line)? What is the "mushroom looking product"? Does it have a name on it? And a model number?
To use an AirPort card to get on the internet, you will need a wireless router or a wireless access point.

How do I stop Firefox from updating Internet Explorer with my bookmarks?

I upgraded Mozilla Firefox recently and must have agreed to merge bookmarks. All my bookmarks now appear in Internet Explorer also. Any changes affect explorer. I can't figure out how to stop. I can disable on the explorer end but not Firefox.

I do not fully understand what you are trying to explain.
Firefox certainly does not ordinarily update or change your IE favourites.
(You are able to export Firefox bookmarks in a suitable {HTML} format though)
Firefox bookmarks are not the same as IE's favourites. You are able to import the HTML favourites from IE. Firefox then converts these to the required Firefox formats and keeps the bookmarks to itself.
Unless possibly you have some utility that exports the Firefox bookmarks and over writes the IE files ?
Or maybe you are just reading HTML files and folders with Firefox instead of using Firefox bookmarks.

Now I have to work on item data as well.
vbrp-posnr to glpca-refdocln to get he corresponding line items..but when I put a join condtion on vbeln & refdocnr..it gives me duplicates as well.
below is my query & output ..Please advice how to eliminate duplicate records ???

Ok. If we are getting 4 records here then the some where in the previous JOIN statements the records are being duplicated.
If possible try to use join condition on the VBAK table, which is header table in the select statement if that is not possible,
please try with the using DISTINCT key word in the select query.

How to use 2 TMG Servers for Internet Access

This is what we have setup at the moment.
We have two TMG 2010 SP2 Servers, let's call them TMG1 & TMG2. They sit in two different sites (physically not logically) which I will refer to as Site1 and Site2. TMG1 sits in Site1 and TMG2 in Site2.
All internal users access the Internet via TMG1. They all have TMG Clients installed and they receive TMG1 as their proxy server (WPAD) via our DHCP servers.
I feel bad to see that TMG2 cannot take a little bit of traffic off from TMG1 for those who want to access the Internet. How can I go about doing this. I can achieve this by adding the TMG2 manually on TMG Clients but I prefer to do this automatically. Is
there a way to publish TMG2 in WPAD while TMG1 is already there? Dont forget we only have the luxury of using two TMG

What seems to be automatic archiving lops out whole sections of data, but I can't figure out how to restore it. I get huge files with a funny green icon that won't do anything. Small ones can be moved to floppies.

Since mid-2009, I started losing whole blocks of data that was lopped off in blocks covering time periods. In Mozilla and Thunderbird. At the same time, I got huge files with little green icons. These icons can be moved to floppies, but cannot be opened.
At first I thought it was a virus, but my techie says No.
Restore Wizard will not work because it does not like the presence of two hard drives, C and D.

What are the names of those files?
Are they the result of disk errors and created by the chkdsk.exe program?
You can do a disk check with the chkdsk.exe program.<br />
If you run the chkdsk.exe program from a cmd.exe Command window then you can read the response from the chkdsk.exe program.
Open a cmd.exe window:<br />
Start > Run: cmd.exe <press Enter><br />
At the command prompt (>) type or Copy&Paste: chkdsk.exe /f /r <press Enter> (put a space before /f and /r)
If you get something like: Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? y/n then answer the question with "Y" and close all programs and reboot the computer.
