Connecting AP 1130ag to 2112 port
I have been through the guides but cannot figure out this one.
I have an 1130ag AP (LWAPP) connected into port 7 (Poe) and trying to get it to associate with the WLC 2112. It never does. Do I need to configure that port to allow the APs to access the WLC through it? Maybe DHCP is not being passed to the AP so it is not getting an address to communicate over network?
When I connect the AP to my switch I have connected to port 1 (management port) of the 2112 it associates fine.
I am wondering if I am missing a step somewhere.... The quick start guide shows it easy as 1,2,3 but not for me....
Thanks,
Ed
Thanks for the reply!
I did try what you suggested on your first post with creating a new Management interface on port 7 and assigning an IP to it, but it kept telling me that the IP conflicted with another interface. From what I gather you cannot assign an IP in the same subnet to the other ports. With the project I am building everything is just your typical small office network with one subnet and VLAN.
I do have both required interfaces setup. The Managment Interface and the AP-Manager Interface. They each have their own IP assigned.
The AP I was using had already been registered with the WLC through a remote switch connected to Port 1 of the WLC and came up fine but as soon as I connect it to the 2112 on port 7 it just sits there and goes through the normal startup procedure over and over. I also does this connected to any other normal non-PoE port on the 2112 as well using power brick on the AP. The link lights are green and the AP is definitely powered up.
I went into the console and tried to watch for any LWAPP events with the debug option but nothing ever reports it as even trying.
Thanks for the reply though.... This is frustrating me because according to the docs I have found you should be able to just plug it in and it should work. I thought maybe the controller wasn't passing DHCP through the 2112 ports that are not assigned to anything so that might be why why the AP is not communicating but I cannot seem to find anything related to that. From my understanding the remaining ports should act as a switch.
Thanks again,
Ed

I am trying to use an external 3g modem made by Huawei model e173s-6 and when I do connect it on my usb port the macbook pro just do not recognize it. I own a 2012 model with mountain lion 10.8.2 . What should I do ?
I still don't know what happened to my test Aperture Library after the update to 3.4...Not only were my previews lost, but so were the original images! Needless to say, I haven't bothered to update the main library on the Mac Pro because I don't want to deal with this level of uncertainty (even with backups in place).

I have a mid 2009 iMac that doesn't have Thunderbolt display, but has a mini-dvi port.
Will the Thunderbolt cinema display 27" still work when connected to this mini-dvi port ?
I thought it would be better going for a thunderbolt display monitor rather than the older version, so when i upgrade my machine in the future it stays compatible.I have a mid 2009 iMac that doesn't have Thunderbolt display, but has a mini-dvi port.
Will the Thunderbolt cinema display 27" still work when connected to this mini-dvi port ?
No. A TB display can only be connected to a TB source.
Confusing Mini DisplayPort with Thunderbolt
As indicated in that artical a displayport device can be connected to a TB source. But that is not your situation. -
I am conneting my Ipad to mutiple Pcs, (windows and Mac) and it is not being recognized in the device list on itunes or the computers. the ipad is fully charged, I have reset it numerous times and it gives me the apple icon and then the "connect to itunes" message.... but dose nothing after that. I had it all set up and gave it to my daughter who tried to sync it with her macbook when it did this. We are using direct connections to the computers usb ports, the cables are new, ituens is newly updated on all pc's...
any ideas what the problem is??Did you already have a look at this article?

Printer connected to Airport Express USB port won't come online after firmware 7.6 upgrade. I've tried backing up to 7.5.2, but it still shows offline. It is a Canon iP4600 printer and I'm running OS 10.6.8. I've powered everything down and still no go. I've connected the printer directly to my MacBook's USB port and it works fine. Any suggestions?
I have an iP4500, which I assume is quite similar to your model.
I had to reset the printing system to get things printing again. Only takes a few minutes and no problems at all since I did it a week ago or so.
Plug the printer into the USB port on the Express and restart the printer.
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock) and then open Print and Fax
Right-Click in the printer area on the left and select Reset Printing System
Then click the + (plus) button at the bottom of the printer list to install the printer again. -

I wanted to know if there is anyway i could automatically backup my time capsule to an external drive connected to it's usb port. I tried using automator to make it copy newly added files into the external but it didn't seem to work as i had hoped and i wanted to know if anyone had any experiences in using other programs to copy the contents of one folder in the TC to another folder in a drive externally connected to the TC and also keep the contents of both folders up to date.
In short, I am basically trying to make a "raid 1" and i know that TCs dont support raid natively so thats why i asked if anyone knows of a program that could do it from the mac side.
Thanks.Carbon copy cloner might work.. expect it to be very slow.. especially if you are using wireless.
There will be various rsync shareware available.. but like your experience getting it to actually work is loads of fun.. or NOT. -

Can anyone please help with this telnet problem on CISCO 877 ADSL Router

I can Ping the Router and I can also go out to the internet on that router but, I can not telnet into that router from Inside the Network nor Outside the Network. There are no Firewalls involved.
I have tried to clear the config and reconfigure it again, it does not help, I have also applied same config on another CISCO 877 ADSL Router it still does not work.

Is It possible connect two router**from console port to console port
Hi,
I need this for doing reverse telnet.
Thanks very muchNo
you can connect router 1's aux port to router 2's console port.
line aux 0
password blablabla
login
modem InOut
transport input all
find the aux port's line number which depends on the router model then telnet to a live ip on router 1 on that port.
Worc_3640#sh line
Tty Typ Tx/Rx A Modem Roty AccO AccI Uses Noise Overruns Int
0 CTY - - - - - 0 0 0/0 -
129 AUX 9600/9600 - inout - - - 0 0 0/0 -
* 130 VTY - - - - - 75 0 0/0 -
so say 10.1.1.100 2129 if 10.1.1.100 is on that box.
should get you going..

RamnathNothing to do with LOOKUP
try below
1. Let Provisioning happen as it is
2. Open Create user task
3. attach "Disable User" task on SUCCESS response of Create user.
this will do your job
else use useraccesscontrol=514 or 2. for this you need to add extra field to process form and add another task in the process definition

Not able to connect iPlanet Proxy on ADMIN port with windows 2003
I have configured iPlanet 3.6 on Windows 2003 server with admin port as 10000 and Client connection on port 8000.
I m Able to use client port thru 8000 but when i goto particular URL i.e http:\\I.P:10000 it do ask for admin user name aND password.. and after that it show "page cannot be displayed" .. where as if i try on same server to connect to admin panel thru netscape . once it ask the user name password for iPlanet and after that is keeps asking user name password in WINDOWS STYLE.. liek some time it ask for IIS .. i dont know why and overall i am not able to connect to it on admin port ..
pls provide some solution if any one have faced similar problem..I would strongly advise you to consider 4.0.2 version of proxy, 3.6 is not ofiicially supported on windows 2003, see http://docs.sun.com/source/819-3619-10/relnotes36sp8_win.html#wp19243
Speaking of possible workarounds for your issue with 3.6, I've seen admin console acting weird when it is configured with 5 digit port. Changing it to 4 digits might be worth a shot. -

Your computer can't connect to a computer named "son1175", or if it can then that computer isn't running a server listening at port 25. Talk to your network people if your computer name is the right one and ask them why not. It is nothing to do with programming. -
