Connecting BW with different clients in CRM Server.

Hi All,
We have one CRM Server and one BW Server.
In CRM Server, we have 3 Clients.
CRM 100, CRM 200 and CRM 300.
And in BW, we have one Client BW 200.
During the development of reports, we have connected CRM 200 with BI 200.
Development of CRM reports are done.Right now CRM 100, holds the quality data and client wants to link CRM 100 with BI 200.
Steps we have done while connecting CRM 100 with BI200.
1. All the requests available in CRM 200 are visible in CRM 100.So We have created the RFC connection between CRM 100 and BW 200.
2. Replicated all the data sources from CRM 100 to BW 200
3. After replication, the link between Data source and Info source is not available.
4. So we have installed manually the Transfer rule from CRM100 data source to Info source through business Content.
Please suggest, whether this is a right way or is there any other way to automate the linking of CRM 100 with BW200 for all info Objects.

Many solutions, common is create OU for Members (or Users), inside, more OU's (one for managers & one for regular users).
Next use Group Policy Editor to create separate policies for each OU (one for managers & one for regular users).
This is Just a start and suggestion.
Please do not delete any Operating System created OU's or groups!

Currently the condition of between two system as follows
Source Server : SAP ECC6.0, Component SAP_APPL, release 602 level 16

This problem happens due we was unable to downgrade the release and patch the latest support pack of SAP_APPL reelease 600.

Not really. You should not be sharing an Aperture library over a network. It's not designed for that and you'll likely corrupt your library at some point.

Trusted connectivity with different Clients

Hi all
I have the following problem: The Trusting System SRR (Server) has client 100 and 010 the
Trusted System CLL has client 010.
I tried to make a trusted connectivity with the SRR 100 Client, but Im only able to connect to the SRR 010 Client.
Where can declare to which Client of the Trusting System (Server) the Trusted System (client) Points?

I solved the problem.
if the Client is not the same you see in the trusted system in RFC menu trusting system an error. "authorization failed". (this was confusing)
You have to create in the Trusting system the authorization object S_RFCACL with the client information for the calling System. You verify the settings with the function module AUTHORITY_CHECK_TRUSTED_SYSTEM.
Once you created the trusted system in the Trusting system. You have to create a NEW RFC connection in the Trusted System for example <SID>_TRUST mark the trusted system and current user with the Client# information. Once saved, try to logon by the "Remote Logon" button. If this works, then you created successfully the trust relationship.

Database connectivity problem with instant client.

I've installed the Oracle instant client basic and ODBC files in my system.
But when I create a system DSN and test the connectivity my database connectivity,it fails with
ORA-12637:Packet receive failed error

I've placed my TNSNAMES and SQLNET file in the same folder having the instant client files and I've set my TNSADMIN,LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH environmental variable to the folder location.
Note:I'm able to connect to the database using SQLplus.

These days I very seldom use ODBC for Oracle - most recently it was simply to get Enterprise Architect to "talk" to Oracle. I never used it for my client applications (unlike in the fast distant past), so what I know about ODBC is seriously outdated.
Even so, a few comments. :-)
Have you tried creating a user DSN, in case a system DSN somehow works different environment wise?
The above error description sounds like the original TCP connection was successful (i.e. it is not a host unknown or not reachable error). Subsequent packets seem to fails.
To confirm, run the listener on namesrv1.xy.zz.com with logging enabled and have a look at the listener.log - does it show a connection being accepted/handled from your PC when you use the ODBC DSN?
Have you tried the Oracle ODBC drivers? When getting EA connected I had problems (also with Instant Client) and Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle. Downloaded and installed the Oracle ODBC driver and it worked just fine first time around.

Calling a ESS WDJ COmponent with different Client no

my task is to make ESS available on a different Client (100) instead of 001.
i was reading about the "Mapping Logical Systems" using the parameter sap-wd-arfc-useSys :

I did the following :
1. Create a new JCODestination :
SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaDataHNL and SAP_R3_HumanResourcesHNL with the new client.
2. Call the URL
http://<portal>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/ess~lea/com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl.LeaveRequest?sap-wd-arfc-
useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources:HNL&sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData:HNL
Result : i get a 500 internal Server error after the login for this client.
Test 2: The same with the default JCO Destinations : same error
Test 3: The same without the additional parameter : working
The JCO Destination is only SAP_R3_HumanResources when i looked it up the Content Admin Area for Web Dynpro.
What is the point i am missing ? Has someone done it successfully to connect to 2 systems per sap-wd-arfc-useSys ?

The Assignment for ess~lea is only for :
SAP_R3_HumanResources
SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData
It is a standard ESS iview. How and why should i assign additional JCODestinations ?
I overweite it per parameter sap-wd-arfc-useSys

we are using FILE,IDOC,JMS MQ ,ABAP Proxy and See burger adapters with sender and receiver aswell.
we are using Master SLD ..I mean single SLD.
Client has asked for testing the interfaces...
we are using
XI box with client as 200
R3 box with client as 217.
All the connections are done with R3 client 217.
No my problem is...
My client has asked to test my interfaces with R3 client 216.
what are the changes i need to change in XI for R3 client 216....please let me know

The Following things needs to be take care in this Activity
1) No Need to create Another TS for SAP R/3, this will not allow you to create another one.
2) Just Add the Business system for the Existing TS with Client 216 and also take care abt the Logical System Name here.
3) Refresh SLD Data Cache in IDEnvironment-
4) Now Use this New Business System for Communication which is having the New Client and Corresponding LS Name

Wireless Lan connection issue with Linux clients

Hi
In a large Wireless Lan enviroment for a university, we have 3 WISM moduls attached on a 6k hw - Manged by ACS v6.0.181.0
We recently upgraded the software version of the controllers from 4.x to 7.0.98.0 - the Emergency Image version is 5.2.157.0
Since then, the students with Linux clients have massive connection issue - repeated connection lost in a short time period.
However the students with Windows clients have no problem at all.
The studends report, that their linux clients getting so much of some kind of unnecessary broadcast traffic which can not be handled by the NIC - and the NIC goes down - and this happens all 5-10 minutes.
Affected Linux clients are: Ubuntu v10.10 - also OpenSuse, Fedora and Arch-linx with latest OS version.
Any Idea how I could solve this problem?

Thanks for your reply. The broadcast forwarding is disabled on WLC's.
Pls find below the attached picture, which shows the captured broadcast traffic on a linux client (sent by a student to me).
I'm not sure, if its really only the broadcast traffic, which the linux clients can not handle.
From my point of view, it seems also to be that the linux clients are somehow disadvantaged among the other clients like windows or mac, if they all trying to get a wireless connection.
But the fact is only the linux clients are affected - and this happens to the linux clients only in our wireless infrastructure.
Windows or Mac clients have no such problem at all

Dev qas and prd set up with different clients

good day experts,
If I have 3 different clients in PRD, is it recommended to have 3 qas and 3 dev clients as well? For instance, 3 clients in PRD which are 500, 510, and 520; do I have to have 300,310,320 for qas and 200, 210, and 220 for dev? for we have difference configurations and settings on difference clients.
Please suggest! Thank you in advance!

It is not mandatory that you have three clients in all system. General approach is as below:
1) Development System- Sandbox Client, Development Client, Golden Master Client
2) Quality System- Testing Client, Pre-Production client (not require always)
3) Production System- One Production Client (If there is any special requirement then you can create more client)

Connectivity issue with local instance of sql server

well for the last couple of days i have almost taken my head out to get this issue resolved.
but still i am no where. i have already referred to so many tips available online but still can't fix the prob.
i am trying to connect a C# ( .net 2005) program to connect to the integrated sql server 2005 instance on my local computer.
i have got windows 7 home basic on my pc with .net frame work 2.0 sp2 and have also upgraded to sql server 2005 sp3 as per some online study.
i have also tried all these steps but still getting the error 40.
1. Check Whether the SQL Server is running or not.
Because the trial to connect to the stopped server may also cause this problem.
2. Check the name of the SQl Server.
For example, if we try to connect to SQL server using .NET application, for some SQL Server, the name of the server "localhost" works, but for some server, we may need to mention "(local)".
3. Check Whether the SQL Browser Service is running
4. Check Whether the TCP/IP is enabled for SQL Server Configuration
* Expand SQL Server Configuration Manager
* Enable TCP/IP
5. Firewall Settings
You may need to add the port of Sql server to the Firewall if it is other than the default port(1433).
Go to Control Panel | Windows Firewall | Change Settings | Exceptions | Add Port
6. Enable the Remote Connection
Goto SQL Server Management Studio.
Right Click on Server node
Click On Properties
Check the Allow Remote connections to Server Check Box
7. Enable Named Pipes
- Open the "SQL Server Configuration Manager" (under Configuration Tools)
- Expand the "SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration"
- Select the "Protocols for "
- Set the Named Pipes To Enabled
8. Create Exception of Sqlbrowser.exe

How to setup the connection between non-unicode client and unicode server?

hi.
we played the program in 4.6x that call a data from unicode server (ECC6.0) to non-unicode server. ( not played in the unicode server.)
When a program ended that English Character was normal, but Korean Chinease... was unknown text.
I think conversion from unicode to non-unicode is a main reason.
General Notes are issued for the unicode side rfc connection configuration.
but, i want to know how to setup into the non-unicode system to interface with unicode system.

For taht you have to deploy korean and chinese langauges seprately on non unicode system.Then try to connect to the unicode system.It will work for you.

Connecting as sysdba different client versions

I've installed client software ver. 8.0 (Designer 6i), Oracle 8.1.7. Client and Oracle Client 9i, over Win2k Prof. There is a script for run an installation process, whose try to execute "connect system@instance as sysdba". In this moment instance could be DBOra81 (RDBMS Oracle 8.1.7.) or DBOra90 (RDBMS Oracle 9.0.1.1.1). Testing the installation script, I found it doesn't work changing the Primary Oracle Home in all cases:
* Oracle Primary Home DEFAULT_HOME
SqlPlus 8.0 can't connect any instance. I get ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
SqlPlus 8.1 connect successfully in both DBOra81 and DBOra90.
SqlPlus 9.0 can't connect any instance. ORA-01031: insufficient privileges again.
* Oracle Primary Home Ora81: The same cases
* Oracle Primary Home Ora90: The Same Cases.
Why I can't connect as sysdba with Oracle 9i client software ?

Create a chat using technology Cirrus (p2p) and class NetGroup.
If the device is a mobile phone, and has network via 3G or 4G, then connect to the same group with other devices is not happening.
For example, there are a PC and the mobile device:
1 If both are connected to one Wi-Fi:

the results you're showing indicate a symmetric NAT (that is, a NAT that uses a different translation for each unique destination). there is no way for a peer behind a symmetric NAT to coordinate and find another peer that's behind a different symmetric NAT or behind a port-restricted cone NAT.

as far as "fixing" it: the issue isn't the protocol -- a symmetric NAT is inherently defective. the only fix is to not use a symmetric NAT in your network. unfortunately this is often outside your control (such as with your mobile provider).

Issues with connecting macs with different versions of iphoto

I connected my iphoto 09 on my macbook pro with my girlfriends iphoto 11 on her macbook pro to transfer some photos. However after I transfered these items to her mac I now find that even though the photos still exist on my mac, iphoto 09 will not open and says because I have connected to a newer version of iphoto I will have to upgrade.
Even though I like macs I don't need or want to upgrade, I can't reinstall iphoto from my setup discs so The only option is to spend £75 on something I don't need. Can anyone give me any advice?

When you opened the library with the newer version you were warned this would happen. You chose to ignore that warning.
Your options are
1. Upgrade iPhoto to iPhoto 11. This doesn't cost £75. An iLife 11 disk costs less than £50. Better yet, you can simply buy iPhoto on the App store for less than £15.
2. Restore from back up - You do have a back up, right?
3. Recover your phots from the Library and start over from scratch.

Using SAP Business content with different client number

I want to use and upload client numbers into SAP BW in an InfoObject as master data.
The client number is for example with 9 figures.
Can I use the SAP standard InfoObject 0Client for that or is there another one or should I define my own InfoObject?
