Connecting external computer to the virtual environment

Hi,
I am using Windows Server 2012 - Hyper-V Host with 2 virtual instances inside, VM1 and VM2. The VM1 role is RRAS server and VM2 is a Database server. The remote users connect to RRAS server (through PPTP VPN) to be able to access the Database server.
I wanted to add a physical server (Linux) and configure and connect it in same segment as the VM2 or Database Server.
My question is how will I connect the Physical Server to the virtual network so that users will use the same RRAS server to access the Linux Box.

Hi Sharon,
As you mentioned , remote users can connect to VM1 (RRAS) to be able to access VM2 (Database server) .
I assue that VM1 has Two virtual NICs , first one for "remote connection" and the second one for connecting to VM2 .
If you want the remote users to access a physical server to replace VM2 , you may try to connect the second virtual NIC of VM1 to an external virtual switch that connecting to your physical LAN .

Cannot get Win8 Pro computer run the Connect a Computer to the Server Wizard (computerconnector) of Essentials 2012

I've spent 1/2 the day trying to troubleshoot this problem and finally give up.
My client has a Windows Server 2012 Essentials server (with all updates installed - no errors in error logs nor SFC /SCANNOW). Purchased a new Windows 8 Pro computer, which we installed all the updates from Windows Updates and are now trying to join
the domain using the "Microsoft way" (i.e.: http://[servername]/connect).
The site comes up and it prompts us to download the software and run... so far so good, but when we get to the screen where it asks, "Type your new network user name and password" - the next screen after that we get the error, "Cannot connect
this computer to the network...".
I've been looking at cases all day long through Microsoft and Google - all pointing to problems with the SSL on the server - that's not the problem here (as other workstations have, in the past, successfully connected and we verified today that the local
server certificate is what is the default, as it should be).
I've tried just about everything I can think of and cannot get this silly wizard to work (why Microsoft, WHY!??!?!). Yet, I can join this domain just fine doing it through normal means. I've even tried joining the domain this way, and tried installing
the software afterwards (as the Essentials Console won't reflect the new workstation, thus it won't add it to group policies etc... though yes, I could manually do that and have - but we'd still like to get it to show up in the console). I even
tried the trick noted in a KB talking about running the connect software without joining the domain (registry key that gets added) - that didn't work either.
I'm out of ideas - and at this point had to get the client online and working today - so we joined it manually, configured it and left it. But I would like to get this fixed the "proper" way. Help?
I do have the clientdeploy.log file - which only points out an internal error, but I'm unsure how to enable the improved logging it suggests (I'll gladly post the logs if someone tells me how - I'll skip posting the log file here for now):

it's been nothing but a hassle... miss the SBS connect.

Before going further, please uninstall the Connector software from Control panel. Then connect again, will
the same issue persists? Would you please use another client to connect with the Server 2012 Essentials by using this way? Then monitor the result. Please make sure the computer has a physical connection to the local network.

You can definitely just connect a mouse and keyboard and then an external monitor and it will work. In the power options in the Windows control panel you will have a choice as to what happens when the lid is closed. Set it to "do nothing" and then you can shut the lid of the laptop and use only the external monitor.

Run an applet in a computer without the virtual

My name is Henry Smith and I'm doing a chat but I have a problem in the computers without the virtual machine. Then my question is:
How can I do to run an applet in a computer without the virtual machine.?

Applets run on browers and hence it merely depends upon the browser capability. If your browser has inbuild JVM then only you can see the applet. And now a days all browsers eg. IE and Netscape and VM enabled.

The requirements for this to work are:
1) The AirPort Express must be the 802.11"n" version. Model Number is A1264
2) There must be adequate wireless signal stength where the Express will be located
3) The Express must be configured to "join" the wireless network with the option checked to activate the Ethernet port

I am woundering what adapter i need to plug into my computer so that i can plug my computer directly into the wall and use the internet using a ethernet cord. I am not wanting to use wify for that does work great. I have to plug my computer directly into the internet using an ethernet cable unfornately the new mac pros do not come with and ethernet port. Thunderbolt is a video, audio and data port, so you can use it to connect external displays, external drives or different adapters to connect a display or connect the Mac to the Internet. In the case of Ethernet, you won't notice the Thunderbolt speed, as it's more for external disks

Endless trouble after downloading IOS7 ON BOTH IPHONE AND MINI IPAD. It takes almost 4 minutes to write and send SMS where it used to take 90 seconds on IOS6. My ipad wanted a passcode after installing IOS7 and I never knew what the passcode was and accidentally disabled my ipad. I tried to reinstall using ITUNES, following all instructions carefully. Is home Sharing turned on it iTunes?

Did you enable Sharing in your iTunes preferences?

Glad to hear it is all straightened out. You are right about the upgrade cost. That is one reason why Adobe switched to monthly licensing—no more upgrade cost <g, r, & d>. Of course we do have nearly monthly product upgrades. It is almost like playing whack a mole.

[URGENT!] Cannot connect a computer to the internet via WRT54GSv4 router

I have spent more money than the devil knows on fixing my wireless internet, and just recently I discovered these forums. Go figure.
Anyways, two or three weeks ago my upstairs computer's internet connect flopped and died. This is about the seventh time this has happened, in ONE YEAR! I use a Westell modem and a WRT54GSv4 router, a WRE54G Range Expander outside the room, and a Dynex Enhanced Wireless-G Adapter. One day I was playing WoW (ftw...), and all of a sudden I was disconnected, rather rudely. I looked back to my Expander: The top light was red, and the bottom blue, which means activity but no link (meh?). Anyways, I got limited or no connectivity for the first few days, but not connected, and finnaly my Routed connection died and wouldn't even show on the list of in range wireless connections. If the router was a person, I'd beat it with a bat. Or at least with words.
In the past I configured it to allow Battle.net ports 6112 through 6119 to host games on Warcraft III. I have done nigh on nothing else to mess with my router, no firmware upgrades, no meddling (except for some resets to factory defaults via 30 seconds reset button), etc. It randomly shuts off and dies, but the thing that really pisses me off is the fact that my parents' laptop still has connectivity to the routed network. I don't know if its something to do with my router, something screwed with my modem, my range expander being gay, or my Dynex adapter being pwned by some virtual cannon.
If any of y'all could provide any information whatsoever relating to this fix as soon as possible, I would be greatly appreciative!

As you said your Parents computers are able to go online thorugh the Router, That means its not the problem with the Router, You just need to input the same wireless settings on your Wireless WRE.
