Connecting hp photosmart C5550 orinter with my hp dv6500 laptop via bluetooth?

Hey everyone...
I am not so savvy with all of this technology stuff but I am trying to set up my printer. I have already installed the CD and my printer is now listed as one of my printer options. There is this HP bluetooth USB 2.0 witreless adapter (HP bt500), and I do not know how to wirelessly connect it to my laptop...do I need to purchase something?  I have already inserted it into my printer and it has a steadt blue light, but my computer cannot locate it when it searches. Is it easier to just go buy a USB cable (it didnt come with one)? PLEASE HELP!!!
thank you for youe time and assistance! this is just a little difficult for me to figure out...

The Cable you'll need looks like this...
You can get this cable from any reputable computer store. You can even order it from HP's website. Check THIS out.

Unless you're trying to tether your phone to your computer or create a personal hotspot, it won't pair with your computer by bluetooth. File transfer by bluetooth is not supported. So, you can quit trying unless you're trying to tether.

When I connect my Mac Mini 2011 with Lion to a TV via HDMI and an earphone cable is plugged in, it´s not possible to choose sound out via hdmi, as opposed to connection via the minidisplay port. Anybody knows how to fix this?

Was just on the phone with Apple about this.
The solution was as follows for me anyway...
    Go to your Finder
    Choose the Go Menu
    Choose Computer
    Choose your Macintosh Hard Drive
    Choose your "Library" Folder
    Choose the "Preferences" Folder
There should be a folder called "Audio"
Move that whole folder to the trash
    Empty the Trash
    Restart from the Apple Menu
    When you are back up and running;
Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu
         Choose Sound
In the output tab you should now be able to make the HDMI "Sticky"
Enjoy your sound over HDMI and no more dirty knees or broken backs unplugging the desktop speakers!

Have you tried contacting your phone carrier to activate the phone?
Do you have a sim card?

  • HT204387 connect iphone 5s to windows laptop via bluetooth

I am trying to connect my iPhone 5s to my Windows Laptop via Bluetooth.  The laptop can see the iPHone but cannot connect.  What can I do?

    Hello Rick,
Congratulations on your new iPhone 5s!  To wirelessly sync your iPhone with iTunes, you need to be connected using a Wi-Fi network.  I found an article that has the steps outlined on how to sync your iPhone wirelessly with iTunes:
    Wi-Fi syncing
    Open iTunes
To set up Wi-Fi syncing, connect your iOS device to your computer with the included USB cable. Select your device under Devices on the left-hand side.
In the Summary tab, select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
Whenever the computer and the iOS device are on the same network, the iOS device will appear in iTunes, and you can sync it. The iOS device will sync automatically when all of the following are true:
The iOS device is plugged in to power
iTunes is open on the computer
The iOS device and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
While the iOS device appears in the left-hand column of iTunes, you can select the content tabs and configure sync options.
Click Apply or Sync to sync the iOS device.
You can find the full article here:

  • I cannot pair my Macbook Air (Yosemite) with my iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth.

I cannot pair my Macbook Air (Yosemite) with my iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth. It is recognising the devices but 'connection unsuccessful'

That is correct.  Macs do not pair to iPhones, iPads, etc.
However, pairlng is not required to get Handoff to work.  Both devices must have Bluetooth on, but they need not (indeed cannot) be paired.
OS X Yosemite: Pick up where you left off with Handoff
You must be using supported devices:
OS X Yosemite: supported devices for Handoff, Instant Hotspot, Phone Calling, SMS, and AirDrop

Not that specific hardware, but note that although getting Bluetooth syncing is cool, you'll revert back to cable syncs in the end.
Cable syncs are much faster, and much more reliable. When I was syncing by Bluetooth, I often had to reboot to get things working. Best not to bother, really.

  • Problem to connect iPhone 4s (6.0) to a HP Pavilion DV6 laptop via Bluetooth

I'm having problem to connect iPhone 4s (6.0) to a HP Pavilion DV6 laptop via Bluetooth, the plan is to share the Internet (3G) from the iPhone to the laptop.
The driver for serial port is not installing and I don’t have the option to connect to Internet via the iPhone. The problem is isolated to the iPhone as my Samsung mobile installs and connects ok, and is available in the control panel. During install I receive an error that the drivers (I guess for the COM port) cannot be found by WIN7. Drivers and options for headset, sound, SMS etc has installed correctly and is selectable in the control panel for Bluetooth.
For troubleshooting I have reinstalled HP Bluetooth package sp44774.exe, no success. I then goggled and found a another package sp53961.exe, still I have the problem. Windows Update is configured to auto search for updates.
Anyone have an idea what to do next?

Amazing how it can be the simplest things that get overlooked.   Glad it is working.

  • Can I use my Ipod Classic(MC297ZP) with Sound Kick SFQ-04 via bluetooth

can I use my Ipod Classic(MC297ZP) with Sound Kick SFQ-04 via bluetooth

If you old charger is a USB (+5V output) it will work. If it is a Firewire charger (+12V) then I think it will still work, but Apple has removed Firewire charging from most of the new iPod lines including the iPhone and 4th Generation Nano. However I think that the 120GB Classic may be the last iPod to still charge off Firewire chargers.
It won't hurt anything to try it. If it doesn't work, you will get a screen display that states that the accessory is not supported or something to that effect.
    Good luck,
    Patrick

  • I can not connect my iphone with windows 7 64 bit via bluetooth

how can i connect my iphone 4 via bluetooth and when i connect iphone with laptop it says "bluetooth peripheral device"  drive problem in my device manager, why"

This is not a feature of iPhone.  Bluetooth file transfer is not supported.  Unless it's for the specific purpose of tethering, the iPhone will NOT connect to a computer via bluetooth.

it seems that they will pair but as soon as the mac has connected it automatically dissconnects
i was informed in the apple store before i bought it that it would be ok

The USB port on the Time Capsule is used only to connect a hard drive.
Connect your Mac using an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule if you do not want to use wireless.

  • Can't pair iPhone5 with iPad2 and Cookoo watch via bluetooth

    Hi All!
I can't pair iPhone5 with Cookoo watch via bluetooth.
Bluetooth is on. But iPhone5 can't discover any device.
I turned on bluetooth on my old iPad2 - the same story.
They are searching, but see nothing.
    May be somebody have experience?

    OK! I've found the disision!
    1. Press and hold the CONNECT button on your watch for 6 seconds to place it in pairing mode.
    2. Open the COOKOO App on your phone.
If you haven’t already downloaded the COOKOO app, you can find it on the App Store (for iPhone/iPad)
The COOKOO app will automatically search for nearby COOKOO devices and automatically connect with the closest device.
    3. When prompted, select the option to “Pair” with your COOKOO watch.
Once the pairing is complete, the COOKOO icon will remain solid to indicate that your watch is connected.
    Good luck!
