Connecting i-pod to TV

I've been trying to do this, through my I-pod dock, without success. I have put the red and white cable into the AV slot at the back of the TV, a new Humax flat-screen. No sound -- the screen simply says no signal. Do I need an S-video-cable before it works at all?

I have the same issue with my fifth generation iPod and a Smasung LN-R238W TV. The TV is not connected to anything (other than the power cable) at the moment and we are not planning on having it connected up to the cable TV, only to a DVD player in due course. When I connect the iPod to the AV1 inputs with the red, yellow and white cables properly connected (they came in the accessory box that had my dock and remote control in it) the TV ominously says "No Audio Signal". Do I need to have something else plugged in for it to work or do I have to change settings on my iPod before connecting it up? (Sadly left my iPod at a friend's house last weekend so have to wait until next weekend to get it back and try anything).

  • Connecting i-pod to computer and getting it to come up on i-tunes...

I can not get my i-pod to connect to my i-tunes. The only way that I can get my i-pod to connect with the new 7.0 i-tunes is to restart my computer with the i-pod connected. Is there anyway to get my i-pod to connect as soon as I plug it into my computer? It worked prior to the new update and my ipod is fully updated.

  • Problems connecting i-pod to computer

I am having trouble connecting my i-pod to my computer, everytime I try it comes up with the following message 'USB Device Not Regonized'. I have gone through all the help sections and have reinstalled, restarted etc etc, but none of this has helped. I cannot view my i-pod on my computer or in the source list in i-tunes. I have tried all the USB ports on my computer, but the same message comes up each time with it, I have tested the USB ports with other devices to make sure that they are working ok and they are fine. My next step to maybe solve this problem will be to buy a new USB lead for my i-pod.
Any help would be appreciated as I am getting quite frustrated!
    Thanks, Jade

    Hi Slim,
This is becos ur drive is not updated.
Go to control panel -> administrative tools ->computer management -> system tools -> device manager -> Universal serial bus controller (expand this) you can see " Unknown device in USB port to which your ipod is connected ", right click and select update drive option. This will update the latest drive in your computer. Restart the machine after updating.

*I have recently purchased a mac book and wish to connect my i pod to this computor but because of windows format it wished to delete the library when sync,*
It's not giving that message because it's Windows formatted (Macs can read Windows formatted iPods). You are getting the message because an iPod can only sync with one library at a time (Sync is just short for syncronise). When your iPod is is set to sync with iTunes it automatically picks up any changes you made in iTunes since you last connected. Anything you added to iTunes will be added to the iPod, anything you deleted from it will be deleted from the iPod. In other words the iTunes playlist and the iPod are kept "in sync". You are trying to sync to a new (possibly empty) iTunes library.
If you simply want to continue using the iPod without syncing (and losing the contents) then change it to manual management. When you connect and get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel".
When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone

  • Connecting i-pod classic to windows xp

I am trying to connect my new i-pod classic to the computer. I have i-tunes downloaded etc. However, even though I am the "administrator" I cannot get past the softwear license agreement. Can anyone help?

Are you seeing a Continue button anywhere? Click the little Agree box then the Continue button (there's no need to save the agreement). If you aren't seeing all the buttons try increasing your screen resolution to at least 1024x768 so you can see the whole page: iTunes window does not display all options

  • How do i connect a pod with an apogee duet into logic

I am running a line 6 pod 2.0 and am new to logic. I was wondering if someone could walk me through connecting it to a apogee duet and record into logic thanks

I have an Ensemble and a X3 Live but I imagine it's similar. I run two lines from the pod into the Apogee device. Then set up two audio tracks, one with Input 1 and the other with Input 2. Arm the tracks to record and you should be set. (You can also do it with a single track, just using one line out.)

Are you getting any sort of blue screen before the PC reboots? If so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x\[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
If the blue screen mentions a specific file (for example, “ati3duag.dll”), let us know what that is called too. (Exact spelling, please.)
Here's a reference on the sorts of things i'm asking about:
    Troubleshooting Windows Stop Messages
If you're not seeing a blue screen (or if you’re just seeing a flash of a blue screen before the PC reboots), we can use the following technique to make hidden blue screens appear for us:
    1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
    2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
    3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
    4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.
With those settings in place, does a blue screen appear before the PC reboots?

I've some problems when I connect my i-pod nano 3rd generation red with blaupunkt interface 521 to car stereo: I can listen and manage songs in playlist 1/9 but in playlist number 1 i can't manage my songs because the stereo makes mistake with all songs so i can't skip tracks as I want.
when I use i-pod 2nd generation I can manage playlist number 1 and all songs.
    could you help me?
is that a problem for i-pod 3rd generation or only for mine?
    thanks

There are 2 ways to connect your iPod with the external speakers i.e. via the headphone jack or the dock below the iPod.
You will get better sound quality via the dock, via the dock station (there are plenties) you can connect to the input of a HiFi system and have sound there. Bear in mind you cant control the volume with iPod but one a volume knob of the HiFi system.
The speakers system you are looking for iPod must have an amp. build in. There are hundred iPod speakers system in the market. My recommendation are iPod HiFi, Bose sounddock or B&W . Always trust your ears for the sound quality, my favournite may be not your cup of tea

  • ITunes launch failure when connecting the pod

I'm having issues with itunes not launching (no error msg is given) when I plug in one of our two 2g nanos. It worked at one point, but now when you plug in a nano, it pops an IE window for the ipod (set to be able to use as a drive). I have repeatedly cycled the 'launch itunes when this ipod is connected' option in itunes with no effect. I've tried looking under properties for the drive through windows, but nothing looks that looks like the solution is self evident.
    I'd appreciate some help... Thanks!

Make sure that you are the adminstrator on the computer. You also want to make sure that you have windows 2000 serivce pack (4), or Windows XP Home or Pro service pack (2). You do this by right clicking on your my computer icon and selecting properties. Once you are under properties go to the general tab. Once you have done that type in on the support page how to uninstall itunes and quicktime for windows. Once you have uninstalled the programs make sure you restart your computer. Once the computer is back on make sure that you have all of your anti virus programs, pop up blocker, and your firewall disabled. After that download itunes and make sure that you save the file. Make sure that you save the program somewhere you will remember where it is at. My documents or the desktop would be my suggestion. After you do all of that you should be good to go.

  • Connection i pod

Il mio i pod non viene riconosciuto dal computer; esce una icona che dice periferica sconosciuta. Cosa posso fare?

If my IPOD is reformatted to MAC & all my music is stored on a PC, how will I then be able to transfer it over ? Surely the IPOD will only load from the PC if it is PC formatted ?
If you need to use a Mac (HFS+) formatted iPod on a Windows PC, you'll need to install some 3rd party software such as XPlay 2.0 or MacDrive (which you can get from MediaFour Software). This will enable your Windows PC to read a Mac-formatted iPod which it cannot do without.
You can however use a Windows formatted iPod on a Mac without any such software (because Macs are smart like that).

  • Connection I Pod Classic to I Mac

I have just transferred my library from a PC to my new I Mac & re-set my IPOD classic to Mac setting. The IPOD works fine in automatic sync mode. However, when set to manual management the IPOD contents do not show up in the main window although all of the playlists appear in the sidebar. The main window gives the ipod details but under "music" merely shows a list of playlists. This is not a major disaster, but I have a joint library with my girlfriend and want to remove her music from my IPOD whilst leaving it in the library, and I can't do this without the song listing. If I try & delete in the playlist "most recently added" I cannot access "delete" The listing worked previously on the PC so it is not a fault with the IPOD. Any suggestions gratefully received ?
