Connecting iPad for the first time.

I have an iPod Touch (3G) that I use to Sync with iTunes on a Win 7 laptop.
A few weeks ago I got a new iPad (32Gb) that I've downloaded many apps onto but nothing so far from iTunes.
I was about to update to iOS 7 but wanted to create a backup before I started.
I hadn't connected the ipad to the laptop until now but when I do I'm asked if I want to:
Set up as a new iPad
Restore form this backup -> iPod
I don’t want to de either!
There is no option to Transfer Purchases under Devices/ iPad as other suggestions state. (only for the iPod)
If go ahead and set up as a new ipad do I lose the Apps I've already bought and have to pay for again!
Can I connect multiple devices to one PC with one iTunes but sync different data?

When syncing my iPad for the first time to my iTunes (which was in Australia at one time but no longer) my iPad defaulted to the Australian format for phone numbers and each contact listed was now an Australian address. My iTunes is set to the USA. How/Where do I change the setting? It also changes the default to Australia on each of my iTouches and iPhones.

Please help me to connect TC for the first time

I have a brand new TC since last week, and I am expecting some problems.
I would like to connect TC to my iMac using Wi-Fi.
It seems that Airport Utility (with both 5.3.1 and 5.3.2 sw version) is not able to see TC. Please note that in my office I use also a Wi FI internet connection with a Belkin Router.
I just want to know how to set up TC connection via Wi Fi, and make Time Machine backups on that.

I recently transferred my music from a PC to a Mac and i just synced my ipad for the first time and the old music has gone on the ipad but the music i just downloaded will not sync yet it plays on iTunes?

Photos that were synced from your computer using iTunes can only be deleted by de-selecting them from the folder from where they were synced - and then re-syncing.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
If you want to remove all of the Photos - uncheck the Sync Photos from Heading
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
