Hello PapaBilly,
I would like to offer a suggestion to help you print on your HP Deskjet 3050 from the iPad. Since the 3050 is not a E-printer compatible with Apple Airprint you need to install a App onto the iPad.
This HP document: Printing from Your Apple Device with Non-Web-Enabled Printers (No Apple AirPrint or HP ePrint Suppor... will help you install the App and show you how to use it.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have anymore questions.
Thanks,
JERENDS

Your question makes no sense. You "connect" an iOS device to iTunes on your computer via WiFi or by using the supplied cable.

I have an iPad (the earliest version) that used to connect to my Linksys wireless router with no difficulty. One night recently I could not get on the internet through my iPad. I checked the Wi-Fi information, which said it was not connected. When I go through the process of choosing a network, on which my home system is clearly listed along with a very strong signal strength, I am told that my iPad is unable to join my own network. All the other electronic devices in our house are connected and functioning fine. Can anyone walk me through the steps to correct this problem?
I need to add that I took my iPad to the Appple store, and the clerk there reset something--I don't know what--and my iPad was able to connect to their network. When I came home, though, I was not able to connect to my home network. If everything else is connecting with no issues, I would go into the wifi setting on the iPad and redo the info there, user, password and anything else related to your wifi at your house.
It is possible whatever he reset may have reset something to default setting which will not allow it to connect. If you need too then verify the wifi setting by comparing it with another device setting that works on your home network.
Good luck -

IPad air to wireless printer connection?
HHow to connect iPad to wireless printer?
First off, the printer needs to be AirPrint capable, and then connected to the same wi-fi network as the iPad. If it is not AirPrint capable, then there may be an app that supports that brand of the printer in the App Store that might allow the device to work. About AirPrint - Apple Support

Can't seem to connect one of my ipads to our wireless network at home - every other device in the house is connected?
any suggestions?Did it ever connect? How about to other networks?
Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions).

My laptop continually tries to connect to HP3050 wireless even if I am not near the printer.
HP3050 wireless printer Samsung Laptop with Win 7 SP1
My laptop every minute or two runs a program in the background. I see an egg next to the mouse pointer. I used Process Explorer to establish that it is trying to connect to HP3050 wirelessly. This happens even if I am nowhere near the printer. It is very annoying and uses up computer resources. I have removed the printer for now and the problem is cured. How can I fix this and use the printer again?

Why can't i connect my ipad to home wireless?
why can't i connect my ipad to home wireless?
Is your iPad seeing the Router SSID (Network Name) in the list of networks? If so what happens when you try to select it? Are you asked for a password? If the network isn't secure then it won't ask you for a password and you should just connect.
