Connecting iPhone 3gs to PC

Hello!
I have been having a hard time getting my PC to recognize my phone when I connect it. I can update, sync and all that jazz on iTunes just fine, but when I try connecting my phone to transfer pics/videos, it doesn't recognize it anymore. I've tried putting it into other usb outlets, deleting pics saved from the web/email pictures and videos, restoring my phone (not all the way cause it says all my pics will be deleted). I don't want to lose my pics or videos and really want to transfer them to my PC, but I have been having a hard time for months. I was at the Apple store and the guy told me to restore my phone and that didn't work. Anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks!

The iPhone appears in Windows (I asusme you have Windows) as 2 devices, an iPod and a digital camera. To get the pictures off the phone you need to use the digital camera connection with an application that will transfer them such as Adobe Photoshop Elements or Picasa (you can also just drag them from the phone by opening My Computer and looking at Scanners and Cameras). • Whenever I connect iPhone 3GS to sync with Mac sync fails to open

Whenever I connect iPhone 3GS to sync with Mac sync fails to open. Brand new are there any upates I am unaware of?

"sync" fails to open?  Do you mean, iTunes?
If you manually open iTunes, does your iPhone show up in the left column?
    If so...
Click on your iPhone in the left column of iTunes.
Click on the "Summary" tab in the right colum of iTunes.
    Scroll down to "Options"
Select "Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected"
    Apply
My apologies if I misunderstood the question.

  • Can't connect iPhone 3GS since Lion

    Hi guys,
I have a bit of a strange problem. I'm putting it in this section since it only started after upgrading to OSX Lion.
My iPhone 3GS (iOS 4.3.3) no longer charges or connects to iTunes on my Macbook Pro (~2006, 2.4 Core 2 Duo). This is happening on my gf's 3GS (iOS 4.3.2) also. My first thought was that it was the cable, however plugging my iPod classic in to the same cable works fine. It's not the USB port since I am able to connect my iPod classic as mentioned and plugging in a different USB cable (for a camera, BlackBerry etc) into the same port works fine. I have also used the same iPhone cable in a wall charger and it works fine. So the cable is fine, the USB port is fine, iPod classic will connect but not iPhone 3GS. As I mentioned this only happened after my Leopard install. Any Ideas?

Not sure if this will work for you, but I found in another thread and it worked for me.  iTunes helper can be found under >System Preferences>Users & Groups>Login Items.  If iTunes Helper has a yellow triangle with an exclaimation point, delete it out and follow the steps below.
The fix involves iTunes helper.  Go to login items and delete the one that's there.  Then drag a new version of iTunes helper from the iTunes package to login items. To find the iTunes package, go to Applications>iTunes, then right click on icon>double click Contents>MacOS, then drag the iTunes helper back into Login Items.
    Hope this helps!

  • Connect Iphone 3gs to Ipad 2

When I connected my Iphone 3gs via bluetooth to my Ipad 2, I can only speak on the phone for about a minute and I still have access to internet...why is that? Thanks

No error is shown, the call just disconnected after a certain amount of time without notice, I dont even hear a sound. I tried the same thing with a Iphone 4 and I had no problem talking on the phone while I was surfing the internet on my Ipad 2. Both of my Ipad and Iphone are on the lastest update.

  • Connect Iphone 3GS to Ipad

    Hi all
I can't connect my Iphone 3GS (with iOS 4.3 software) to ipad, using bluetooth connection. My ipad is the old version, without wi-fi.
    Thank's for your answers

My ipad is the old version, without wi-fi.
All iPads are either WiFi only, or WiFi + 3G. So, your iPad does have WiFi.
I can't connect my Iphone 3GS (with iOS 4.3 software) to ipad, using bluetooth connection.
You can't because the pairing of an iPhone & iPad by bluetooth is not supported.

For what purpose are you trying to connect the two?
The only thing you can connect a Mac to an iOS device for is Internet Tethering (Personal Hotspot) - nothing else.

  • Connecting iPhone 3Gs on 802.11n wifi network??

I want to buy some USB WiFi adapter, and setup adhoc network on my PC,so I will use USB adapter as access place,, but there is written "802.11N" http://www.tenadijitalmarket.com/modules/catalog/products/pr_02_5492_max.jpg ...My question is - Can I connect my iPhone 3Gs to that network, because I know that iPhone only have 802.11 b/g standard?? The 3Gs is an 802.11 b/g client only. The 3Gs does not contain an 802.11 n radio.

  • Macbook Pro cannot connect iPhone 3Gs

I'm in Turkey and my carrier supports internet tethering. I tried to connect my iPhone to my MBP via bluetooth. Pairing is successful but when i click "connect" on my MBP, nothing happens. Or I tap my Macbook's name on my iPhone there was this message "... macbook pro is not supported" and iphone forgets device... Is there a solution about this problem?

oh, I'm sorry about the previous information as it was wrong. If you're getting this error, that means that your model of MBP does not support bluetooth tethering. I would suggest trying to tether through wifi as that may result in a better, supported connection.
What model MBP do you have. this is very important information when you are posting about your issues.
got to >about thie mac. and give us all the information on there.

  • WiFi hotspot from iphone 3gs

Has anybody tried to use iphone 3gs as usb modem to create wifi? In another work has anybody tried to connect iphone 3gs with USB 3g wireless router to create wifi hotspot? I am just wondering if i can use my iphone as usb modem to turn the personal hotspot - usb feature and can make wifi to connect it with 3g wifi router (ie.Zoom 3G WiFi Router). Please answer if anybody has tried this.

If the Network Settings on the device has been reset, then the device has already forgotten the network.
That being said, select Settings > WiFi > (Network Name) then Forget this Network.
Might also be worthwhile to power cycle the MiFi.... or disable the security on it temporarily.
