I have set up a new iPad Air using Cloud & now I can't get my iphone to automatically connect to iTunes

Maybe you can give us more details about the connection type? Are you trying to connect via USB or Wi-Fi to your computer?
Or are you talking about syncing automatically?

Since the screen doesn't work, it will be challenging to get it working, even thru iTunes. You will need to ask yourself if you want to invest more money in it or get a new one, especially since the contents will be lost since you don't know the passcode. Apple will gladly replace the screen for a cost that represents a significant portion of the price of a new. Once the screen is done, you may or may not be eligible for the free iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program.
Or, if you decide to salvage it and are strong of heart and firm of hand, you can replace the screen yourself for less. See here and note they carry kits with all needed tools and parts.

I updated all mobile apps from iPhone itself, when I connect iPhone to iTunes it downloading again? (Earlier it was copying from iPhone to iTunes) now, it’s not happening. Please suggest me I need to change any settings in iTunes or iPhone?

Problem got solved, please find the below mentioned steps to resolve.
Steps to Resolve:
1. launch the iTunes app.
2. Connnect iPhone to the Mac.
3. Click on View menu from header file then select "Show Sidebar".
4. Right click on Device on left side pane then select "Transfer perchased"menu.
After the File copying from iPhone to iTunes.

IPhone stuck in recovery mode. screen stuck at "connect iPhone to iTunes"

my phone has been stuck in recovery mode for two days and will not restore. when i disconnect my phone from the laptop, the screen stays on the picture of the iTunes logo and the USB cable saying to connect iPhone to iTunes. And again, when i connect the iPhone to iTunes, the restore fails. if anyone knows how to make my screen go back to normal or successfullt restore my phone, it would be greatly appreciated.

i have same problem as your with my iphone 4S after update new firmware from itunes. iphone restart then stuck on recovery mode . i have try 3 different comp. read all the thread on apple, nothing gonna fix that . oh also change 2 usb cable, just dont know what else i can do.

Yes you can connect it.
You will only loose everything if you choose to sync. If you don't then no. But then you won;t be able to do much while connected, as any transfer of data (music, movies, etc..) will require a sync.

O god...so i am not the only one who is facing this problem. I dont know what they had done with the 2.0 or latest version. Even when i try to download updates for all my application it gives me the similar error. And i know, its not internet problem because i am able to open itunes store and able to see items there. I do have another problem, this time with the serial number and I think I
may have to call Adobe on this one.
I purchased this license from someone on eBay. He assured me the license
number was good. The CD came in a case with the original serial number
printed on the cover. When I installed CS5 on my other computer, I was
having similar troubles and spoke to one of the support people. He gave me
another license number that worked. I have since uninstalled CS5 and did
not deactivate the license. Perhaps that is the problem.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Connect iPhone to iTunes with broken display screen

My iPhone has a broken display screen and I can't connect with my iTunes because it says I have to log into my phone. I can't log into my phone because it is not working. I tried pressing the home button and then acting out the motions of entering my password, but nothing is happening. I have my replacement phone and I'm trying to reset my broken phone, but I can''t do that until I log into iTunes. If someone can advise me on what to do, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. By the way, I am doing this on a PC computer.

Try putting the phone in DFU mode and then doing the restore. This article should help.

Audiobooks lose their last location when connecting iPhone to iTunes

This is a major inconvenience when in the middle of many several hour audiobooks (m4b).
Tech support is no help and all they tell me is that they are looking into it. This has been happening for YEARS.
I guess I'm one of the few that listen to audiobooks because between this and podcasts tech support knows NOTHING about these functions. This is terrible as I have to load up as many audiobooks as I possibly can...and...listen to them all before attempting to add music, video, audiobooks or sync contact/calendar info with the computer.

Yes, it does work up until I sync the iPhone with iTunes. Then ALL the audiobooks are reset to the beginning. (Podcasts are nuked during this process as well by the way)
You can imagine just how frustrating it is when you are well into several books.
I dread connecting the phone to the computer because of this and what it does to my podcasts also.
Apple has had their best and brightest working day and night tirelessly on this for over a year. The poor schlubs that field the calls are repeatedly told by the "engineers" that they are working on it. When in reality, no one has a clue what is happening and they have even gone so far as to tell me that this undesired behavior is actually a feature.
I don't feel bad. Apparently I'm not the only one that has heard this explanation. I've heard others have also been told the same thing by Apple when something doesn't work as expected that it is a "feature." However, they didn't get a long story as I did as to why I should enjoy this particular feature.

Don't test your iPhone on my account. I wouldn't want you to experience the same frustration as I have. But...if you do, please let me know if it happens to you also.

IOS 7 Connecting iphone to itunes

Since updating my iPhone 4S to IOS 7 I haven't been able to connect my phone to itunes. It says I have to update my iTunes. However the version of iTunes it needs to update to isn't supported on my old imac which run OS X 10.5.8 and that was an upgrade from 10.4. The old boy wont operate efficently if upgraded to 10.6.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get my phone to sync without having to go out and purchase a new system, which I can't afford...

Hi everybody. From the day one since I bought Iphone 5S, windows 7 doesn't recognize it. I only hear the noise as I plug any usb. Itunes doesn't recognize it either of course.
I went through all the posts here, did everything that is written and very well explained but nothing.
When I go to Device manager and update the driver from the list etc. it just gives me an error.
I did reinstall Itunes and all the apple upgrades for several times, it did nothing.
I restored the phone, erased all the contents and datas, I emptied it completely. Even typed all the phone numbers manually.. this is how far I went. I "registered" the phone via Wi-Fi because obviously I couldn't connect it via Itunes.
I really have no idea what to do. I really tried everything.
I'd appreciate any help.

I just wanted to back -up my Iphone on Itunes as usual, but my Iphone does not come up in the Itunes sidebar and it is not connecting. The Iphone is connected to Windows fine, the Apple Mobile Device is running correctly, my USB cable is fine, I followed the Apple troubleshooting steps but to no avail. My software is all up to date, the only thing I can think is that I updated Itunes (11.1.4) two days ago and I wonder if this has something to do with it? Help please!
Also, I ran the diagnostics from Itunes and it says "No Iphone connected" when it is!

You are referencing the correct article for the issue of your iPhone not being recognized in iTunes for Windows.
If you have followed all of the steps in that article, then the next step would be to uninstall iTunes and all of it's components and reinstall as described in this article:

I got a new laptop for christmas as my old one died. My problem is that I can't seem to connect my iphone to itunes on my new laptop. It shows that the iphone is connected but wont let me add any music to it. How can I fix this??

How are you trying to add music to your iPhone?
Do you want to transfer music via the iTunes sync process, or manually manage music and video?
If the former, is sync music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences?
If the latter, do you have manually manage music and video selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences?
Have you authorized your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes?

I have had my iphone (6) for about 5 months now.
I did my initial configuration without connecting it to my mac and itunes.
Now, 5 months later, I tried to connect it and itunes gave me two alternatives.
1. Configure as new
2. Restore from a safety copy (as i seems my latest safety copy was many months ago)
I do not want do configure my Iphone as new or restore it from a safety copy.
What do i do to be able to start using itunes without resetting my phone?

There are multiple ways to manually add and erase music from your iPhone.
The way I do it and there for will explain it this way is just the way I do it and not necessarily the only way.
I have created a playlist "This weeks favorites" but of course the name doesn't matter.
I then drag and drop into it what ever songs I want on my iphone that day / week.
I also do this with TV shows / cartoons. (Just purchased all of the Flinstones. :O) )
No need to do this with the movies because there is a spot to "check" each movie you want.
When I want to erase them I just delete in the "folder" on the iTunes. Make sure your not deleting from your library but your "folder" that you have named.
Like I said this is just the way I do it.

Which yes, then you do have to SYNC but it would sync only the stuff you want to. I tried for awhile doing the "checking" each box or un-checking but that took a long time.
