Unfortunely no way to do that.

You would need to make sure the dongle supports the same Bluetooth profiles that are supported by your car's stereo system which is commonly the A2DP profile.  So first figure out what profiles are supported by the car's stereo system.

  • Connect ipod classic (gen 4) to a TV

Tried connecting ipod classic (gen 4) to Panasonic flatscreen TV. I get only sound. Same with a friends ipod. Followed instructions using AV cables.
Been looking at this for a day now.
Anyone have a similar problem or know a solution?
    Regards. T

Do you have a 4th gen iPod or an iPod Classic? They're not the same and the instructions will be different.
If you need help identifying your iPod, try here:

Then, if you don't have a Classic, you might want to post in the correct forum.

  • Connecting ipod classic to new iPad (4th generation)?

Which adapter connects older ipod classic to new iPad (4th generation)?

The "connection" for the iPod needs to go through iTunes on a computer.  You cannot connect your iPod directly to an iPad.
So (for example), if your intent is to transfer songs from iPad to iPod, you need to use the copy of the songs that are on the computer and use iTunes to sync them to the iPod.  If you can't do that because you bought the songs on the iPad from the iTunes Store, you can use the Purchased screen in iTunes (on the computer) to re-download them (at no cost) into your iTunes library.  The link to Purchased is on the iTunes Store Home screen, to the right, under QUICK LINKS.
You can then sync those songs to the iPod.

  • Connecting iPod Classic (80GB) to New iPad 3g -- How is is done?

Ok, this may be a totally stupid question, but how does one sync the iPad to the iPod (I have a iPad 3G, and iPod classic 80GB). I can't seem to find a way to connect the two devices. Can anyone help this technologically illiterate new ipad owner?
    Thanks!!
    Laura

The iPad does not sync to iPods or iPhones. It is not designed to replace your computer, merely to extend it...it is a peripheral device just like any iPod, but it has more functionality...

  • Using iPod Classic with IPad?

Hello all! I hope this doesn't confuse some. Is it possible to directly connect and iPod classic to an iPad and use the stuff in the iPod to watch on the iPad?
For example; I have lots of movies in my iPod, is it possible to somehow connect my iPod to my iPad and watch the movies on my iPad?
I know some 3rd party cables and/or adapters will be needed...I just want to know if it can be done.
    Thank you!

No, it will not work the way you describe. You can connect both to the computer and use iTunes, assuming the movies were purchased from iTunes.

  • Is there an iPod Classic to iPad adapter?

I would like to use my iPod Classic Belkin TuneTalk microphone with a yet-to-be-purchased iPad. I assume the connectors are different. Is there an adapter available that I can use to connect the TuneTalk to an iPad?
    Thanks.

no, you can't use it. you don't really need to as the iPad has a built in microphone and you can also buy Apple headset with remote and mic from the apple store...

  • Blue screen when connect iPod classic

I tried to connect my new iPod classic for the first time and continually get the blue screen of death. I had been using a Nano (2nd gen, not the video one) on this PC without problems, but now when I try to connect the Nano I also get the blue screen. The blue screen references ousbehci.sys for either iPod and says DRIVERIRQL_NOT_LESS_OREQUAL with the Nano only.

I have been working on my little step brothers ipod all day and night trying to fix this problem. I was Googling the issue and i finally came up to a very very old thread from november on the apple support site. I followed the steps and it worked perfectly, I hope this has the same outcome for you as well. The following is the thread that I found.
"Okay, here was my problem….sounds similar to yours but whenever I plugged in my new iPod Classic I got the “blue screen” of death and it shut my computer down. After spending over an hour on the phone with Apple support we were able to resolve the issue.
Right click on “my computer” and select “properties”
Click the “hardware” tab and then select “device manager”
Click the + sign next to “universal bus controllers”
Right click on any items that identified as “usb host controller” or “usb universal host controller”
Click “update driver”, select “yes, this time only” and the next button
Select “install the software automatically” and the next button
It will automatically search and install updated drivers
If you have more than one item on your “device manager” that says “universal bus controllers”; follow the same steps above on all items. I had two “universal bus controllers” on my “device manager” because I had installed an after market USB2 card. After I did the updates it merged them into one.
My iPod Classic “synced” perfectly after I installed the updates. Hope it works for you!"

  • Connecting iPOD classic to TV using Apple Component cable

I have a 80g ipod classic and an apple component AV cable. I am trying to connect this to an TV with component video inputs. This TV is not an HDTV. I have attached the bl gr r cables in the correct position. I am getting a scrambled picture for NTSC and a split picture for PAL. based on my location I am sure that I should be using NTSC.
I brought my iPOD into a local apple store and he was able to plug it in to an HDTV there with no problem so I'm pretty sure that niether the ipod or the cable is defective.
    My question is:
Is the ipod classic only compatible with an HDTV using the component cable? If so, will it work using the composite cable?

The dock is only good so you can use the remote. I don't know what the problem is with your Standard TV's with Component Inputs ... I've tried two different ones, also different brands, and they worked. I did make sure to change the iPod Video Settings to "TV Size = Standard". If it's set to Widescreen, that may account for the problem.
Otherwise, I'd suggest returning the Component cables and getting the Composite ones ... or just get the Composite ones as well. Personally, I think Apple totally screwed us all over by not just adding ONE dang Composite Video out cable to the AV Cables and allowing the Component Out to have a HD/Standard switch, much like most of the Game Console AV cables available. I don't know why they didn't do this, especially since we've got about 2 years before EVERYONE starts upgrading to HD. I guess they're just hoping to rake in some extra money by not making the Component AV Cable more capable.

  • How to connect iPod nano to iPad 2

Can you connect an iPod nano to an iPad 2?  If so, what additional accessories are required to do so?

You cannot connect any iPod to an iPad and transfer music etc to it. The iPod nano is designed to be connected to a computer for music transfer. Connecting to an iPad won't work.
But you can follow this step-by-step guide about how to transfer music from iPod to iPad, including the non-purchases songs.
It's easy to understand and works pretty well for my iPod.

  • Connecting ipod classic to lightning dock

Just bought a new ipod classic and ipod dock.  The dock has a lightning connection - is there an adaptor that can enable connection?

    Hi Roberto UK,
The majority of us at the discussions forums don't know about Apple's future products until they officially reveal or release them.
Sadly, at this moment in time, Apple hasn't made an adapter to connect 30 pin devices (like the iPod Classic) to a lightning dock. There are, however, some adaptors that do what you want them to, though reading the Amazon reviews for them, they are nowhere near the quality of an Apple or Apple certified adapter.
    Now, you have a few choices;
    You could buy a new HiFi with a lightning connector and use a 3.5mm aux-aux cable (both ends are like that of a headphone cable);
    You could look for a new HiFi with a 30 pin dock that some companies still produce;
Buy a new HiFi with a lightning dock and try your luck with a third-party adapter which could work, but you should have a cable like the one mentioned in choice 1 as a backup, should the adapter stop working for any reason.
I would personally recommend you buy a HiFi with a lightning port over a 30 pin one since, if you buy a new Apple handheld product in the near future, it will most probably have a lightning port, therefore you don't want to have to shell out £25 for a 30 pin-to-lightning adapter for (all of) your HiFis.
    Good Luck,
    Stefan

  • Cant connect ipod classic 80 gb to tv

ok please me out here. i just bought my ipod classic 80 a few weeks ago and recently purchased a monster cable tv link. now i no that my link works because i made it connect to my computer but whenever i try and connect to my tv it stays on a screen that says please connect a video accesary. please help.

It's unfortunate (frustrating) that the mods have locked some of the articles on "TV out" like this one:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1119447&tstart=0#5323891
It may have saved you the time & money you wasted on that no-longer supported Monster cable. This is one of the earlier threads regarding the headache that Apple has created for you. Sorry, join the crowd. You, too, will have to fork over $50 to Steve-o for his new and improved cables.

  • Connecting iPod Classic to iMac with USB 1.1 and Firewire

I've just read the specs for the new iPod Classic and the requirements call for USB 2.0 to connect to a Mac. My older iMac does not have USB 2.0. Is the iPod backward compatible to 1.1 or Firewire or is this just not going to work?

Only way for you to use the newer "iPod Classic" is to buy a newer machine if yours can not be upgraded. It is how to make money now, new product means buy new machine to run them, gone are the days of making hardware backwards compatible, no profit in it. What Apple could have done was use its R & D center to make either the Firewire chip smaller or install a Firewire and USB 2.0 Chips in a Dock and have the iPod's internal USB 2.0 chip to switch off when dock connected and allow the electrons to pass through circuit and have the task of delegating to the dock to which ever format it is plugged into the machine. Remember when calling something "Classic" you are referring to the features that made it popular to begin with. Not only was its ease of use but it was for its Firewire connection was the fastest way to get hundreds of music files transferred in a matter of minutes not hours. That was the only choice until the 3G ipod and remained until the ipod photo. I have told Apple a thousand times by e-mail, phone and snail mail I would gladly pay extra to have the iPod with Video and firewire syncing through a dock or a custom iPod. But for now the only way for you to get what you really want is to build it yourself.
