Connecting iTunes to a Philips sound bar via bluetooth?

So, I don't have my iPhone anymore, and just bought a Philips sound bar/surround sound which has a bluetooth capability. Is it possible to download a program, or use iTunes to connect to my sound bar via bluetooth to play music?

Via Bluetooth on what?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

  • IMac 10.6.8, Snow Leopard with iTunes 11.0.1. loss of wifi speed when connecting a Bose Sound System via bluetooth

Hello, I have an iMac 10.6.8, Snow Leopard with iTunes 11.0.1. When connecting my Bose Sound System via bluetooth the wifi downloadspeed goes from snappy to a crawl, disconnecting the bluetooth connection, the downloadspeed goes up again. Don't have this problems with the Sound System when connecting it to my iPad. I like to mention too, that the downloadspeed of my iPad is always better than of my iMac. Are there any experiences concerning this problem? Thank you in advance.

    UPDATE - PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!
You can thank me later - after an hour on the phone, I finally got through to a Senior Engineer.
Apperently the issues lies with GRID VIEW.
Open your Itunes, Click on TV SHOWS, then quickly change your view from GRID VIEW (Defaults to this) to List View and Viola!
We tested it out on the phone just minutes ago, my problem is solved and I suspect if you guys try this yours will be too.

  • I can't connect my iphone5 to my Macbook Air via Bluetooth?

Can someone please tell me why I can't connect my iphone5 to my Macbook Air via Bluetooth?
Is this just the most ridiculous oversight or is there some underlying reason why this doesn't connect and function properly? How amazing would it be if I could just click on a contact number and dial from my phone like I could in 2008 via my Lenovo and my Blackberry. This blows my mind that two devices that scream compatibility are far from it. From my bluetooth options it see my device, then sends a code, I confirm and then it briefly connects only to disconnect almost immediately. #fail #appleoversight #failfailfail
Fix it or I'm going back to PC ****

"I have an Iphone 4s and i can't make a connection to my mac and other devices via bluetooth! ":
    That is correct.
"Why is this a problem and how can i repair it?"
Becasue this has never been a feature of iphone/ipod/ipad.  There is nothing to repair.

  • Can not connect Macbook Pro to IPhone 6 Plus via bluetooth.

I have a MacBook pro late 2011 with Yosemite 10.10.1 and bluetooth ver. 2.1 EDR. I can not connect my IPhone 6 Plus Ver. 8.1 via bluetooth.  I can see the the iPhone 6 on my MacBook and MacBook on IPhone 6, and can select connect but the iPhone 6 has error message MacBook Pro is not supported.  I am guessing that the issue is with the bluetooth versions, but not sure.  Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

And what is it you want to accomplish?   iPhones cannot pair with Computers  (Mac or Pc).
If you want to use features such as Continuity, or Handoff, pairing is not necessary.  However you would need a newer MacBook for those features.
iPhones can pair with speakers, keyboards, headsets, hands free devices, in car media centers etc...
But there's no profile for connecting to a computer directly.

  • Connecting a PS Vita to Macbook Air via bluetooth for use as a game controller

I found out that PS3 controllers are natively supported in OSX via bluetooth. So since PS Vita can connect to PS3 and PS4, I figured that it would work too. I turned on the bluetooth on the Macbook Air and the Vita and plugged in the Vita via USB. The Macbook shows up on the Vita and when chosen, a code pops up on the Macbook that matches the numbers on the Vita and there is a pair button in OSX, so I tried to pair it but it fails for some reason and an error message pops up on the Vita that says no profile found, and the Macbook goes to 'PS Vita not connected'. I looked and found that they both support the same profiles, advanced remote audio/video etc. And I looked for a Vita controller profile for OSX but I couldn't find one. And I tried the Bluetooth Setup Assistant in OSX(mavericks) but it doesn't find anything. Any ideas how to get this working? Otherwise I guess I'll just go buy a PS3 controller. But I think that this should be able to work somehow without much trouble.

To troubleshoot this issues, start here and follow this path through the available options:
    • choose I've already installed the Missing Sync Software <next>
    • choose Connection Issue: Choose this option if the sync button is grayed out <next>
    • choose Bluetooth Connection <next>
    • choose Hangs on establishing connection <next>
That instruction set should guide you through resolving the issue.

  • I cannot connect BB 8520 with external GPS Holux via Bluetooth. Please Help!

I've bought a M1200 HOLUX gps and I'm trying to sincronize it with a Blackberry Curve 8520. The problem is:
    - BB finds correctly M1200 via bluetooth, and sincronizes well with the the PIN
    - M1200 Holux appears in bold just a few seconds after sincronization.
    - But then, M1200 appears only in plain text (not bold) as it's not connected. In the BB options, it doesn't appear the option "Connect" as with the rest of bluetooth devices.
I've tried several times but always happen the same. M1200 is not able to keep the bt connection.
    Could you please help me?
    Thanks in advance

  • Can't connect iPhone 5s to macbook pro retina via bluetooth

Just downloaded Yosemite and am trying to pair my iPhone 5s to my macbook pro retina via bluetooth to take advantage of call handoff.  I cannot get the pairing to work.  It appears to try to connect, sends the pair code to my phone and I accept, but then fails.  My phone mysteriously shows two available options for my Macbook Pro.  Can't figure that out either.  I tried resetting my network settings on my phone, and did a two button reset on my phone as well.  Any suggestions?

I have a feeling this is a Yosemite bug (or iOS 8). I'm getting the same error message, and I also have 2 copies of my macbook air (2013) showing up on my phone (iphone 6 plus) . Bluetooth is on for both devices, its just still telling me it cant get network access even after momentarily saying its connected and giving me a pair code.
Update: Unpairing the phone and re-pairing doesn't fix anything. Still get a pair code, then it immediately disconnects.

  • Impossibility to connect my Mini iPad to a Blackberry via bluetooth

    Hi!
I've tried many times to connect my mini iPad to a Blackberry 9500 via bluetooth. Even if the iPad sees the BB device,it tries to connect but the answer always is: Blackberry device not supported!
Any idea on how I should joun them?
    Thanks

BT on iOS devices is largely limited to keyboards, headsets, speakers, car kits and sharing an internet connection. File sharing is not one of the profiles supported. What are you trying to accomplish by connecting the two devices?

  • Cant connect to samsung galaxy tab 7.0 via bluetooth

Cant seem to connect via bluetooth to a samsung galaxy tab 7.0 via bluetooth both devices find each device but will not connect any ideas why?

No. You can't. That's not a feature of the iPhone. Never  has been. It does not support bluetooth file transfer.

  • Just made the pc to Mac jump. Can I connect my iPad to my Mac Mini via Bluetooth ...my current keyboard isn't connecting so I can't even get passed the password screen.

Someone please help me connect my two devices together so that I don't have to purchase yet another item. Is there an app or something that would allow me to connect my Mac Mini to my iPad 2 wirelessly. I can't get passed the password screen because the wireless Keyboard will no longer connect to my Mac ...helllllppp .... I use it for both my iPad and my Mac mini....does that matter?

If your iPad is close enough to your keyboard and Mini
and if the iPad is merely in standby and not off, the
connection to the iPad is still active.  Therefore, the
keyboard will not connect to the Mini.
If the iPad is far enough away to break the Bluetooth
connection or you unpair from the iPad or you turn the
iPad off, then the keyboard should connect just fine with the Mini.
Most Bluetooth HID's (Human Interface Device) can only service
one host at a time.  This is by design.

  • Can I connect my TV to my Apple TV3 via bluetooth?

Trying to minimize the wires and was wondering if I can avoid having to connect the ATV directly to the TV.
To be honest, I dont even know if its possible to transmit video via BT?

    no
    Wireless
    Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n)
Bluetooth support for Apple Wireless Keyboard (requires Apple TV software version 5.2 or later)
    only keyboard works with bluetooth
    http://www.apple.com/appletv/specs/
and even if it did then I don't believe bluetooth has enough bandwidth for hd real time movie transfer
and even if it did then I don't believe there is a bluetooth profiles for that which would require the one to use the VDP profile which http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bluetooth_profiles#Video_Distribution_Profi le_.28VDP.29
    rely on h263 codec
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.263
    which is limited to
    1408x1152 (a.k.a. 16CIF)

  • I am having trouble connecting my iphone 4 to my imac via bluetooth.

I tried to pair my iPhone with my iMac but it didn't work. The Mac first says the connection is successful but the iPhone tells me it was not and forgets the iMac. Then I go into the Bluetooth menu on the iMac and there is a red dot next to the iPhone on the menu saying that it is not connected. Is there a specific way or order that this needs to be done in or software I need?

You can't connect your iPhone to your iMac via BT. Simple as that.
