Connecting LabVIEW to hardware sensors through myRIO

Hi,
I am an electrical engineering student in the senior year and my senior project is about monitoring and controlling the critical equipment in the industrials. the project contains sensors ( tempreture, missing phasing, vibration ) to control motors and transformers and i will biuld those sensors with my team. i want to design a control panel for those sensor in the LabVIEW and i should use myRIO as microcontroller to communicate between the sensors and the LabVIEW for recieving the signals from the sensors and send it to the LabVIEW to be shown in the control panel and then to have an action to cut the power for example.
my question is,
how to use myRIO and connect it to the LabVIEW and the sensors? what should i do? what should i have? for time being i don't have any information about this.. please provide me with all information that i may need.
can you help me brothers & sistors ..

It's your final year before becoming an engineer and you claim "too much information I need to read/watch"? What kind of engineer to you plan to be?
all totrials there talking about the realtion between myRIO and LabVIEW
Because that's the main part of the work: reading values from your hardware, analyzing it and calculation output signals to fulfill your control task…
And also because LabVIEW is the IDE to create any programs running on those myRIOs…

I am trying to extract xml data from a flowmeter that generates XML data.
The xml file is found in http://ip_address/history.xml
I’ve defined my Topology as such
JDBC Driver: com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver
JDBC URL: jdbc:snps:xml?f=http://192.168.0.202/history.xml&ro=true
Please note to access the file I have to supply a username and password so I did in the definition But when testing my setup I get an error:
ava.sql.SQLException: The DTD file "http://192.168.0.202/history.dtd" doesn't exist: Server redirected too many times (20)
Please note I cannot write dtd to the device as it is a read only device.
Has anyone came across such an issue, how can I achieve this.

I've tried this jdbc url

but when I test the connection i get the following error
java.sql.SQLException: While generating the DTD from the XML file, a java.io.IOException exception occurred saying: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: http://192.168.0.202/history.xml
If I browse http://192.168.0.202/history.xml and i supply the username and password I get an xml page.
I've supplied the username and password in the definition tab of the Data Server windows but still getting the above error.

Can 10000 sample per second can be acuire from a sensor through cRIO

I just want to know, can I acure 10000 smaple (when the programme run in real time) per second per chanel or more, when data taking from a sensor, through the cRIO.

Problems connecting powerbook to ipod touch through wifi

I searched for previous posts but couldn't find a solutuion. I have been using the high speed internet from my powerbook to connect to my iPod Touch through wifi to be able to use the internet on my ipod close to my computer.
I have been using the advise of "mrtotes" on another apple discussion. I copied the URL and the part of the discussion that I use.

OS X's IP firewall is probably blocking incoming Port 80 requests (i.e. web traffic).
Go to  menu > System Preferences... > Sharing > and under Services check "Web Sharing".
I assume you already have switched on Internet Sharing on the Internet section under Services on the Sharing pane and are "Sharing your connection from": "Built-in Ethernet". To computers using "Airport".
To secure the connection (recommended) go to  menu > System Preferences... > Sharing > Internet section. Click on "Airport Options..." and check "Enable encryption (using WEP)". I have been using these instructions successfully to connect my ipod to my powerbook for several months but now it has stopped working. When I get to System preferences>sharing>interenet and I select "Share yur connection from: Built-in ethernet", the only opions I have for "To computers using:_______" are "Built-in Ethernet" and "buildt-in Firewire" nothing about airport. Also at the bottom of the sharing window the "Airport Options" is greyed out and I can't select it. So I went to system preferences>network and my airport is listed but "Airport is currently off" So I click "Connect..." and the "Internet connect" window opens to the "airport" tab. "Airport Power: Off" and everything is greyed out so I can't select anything. And at the bottom of the window. "Status: No Airport Hardware found". So I went to the system profiler clicked on "network" on the left hand side, then clicked on "Airport" at the top right under "active services" and then looked a the information on the lower right side of the window:

Strangely, If instead of clicking on "Network" on the left side, I open up the drop down list under "network" (i.e. Airport card, firewiall, locations, modems, volumes) and click on "airport Card", I'm told "no information found"

As I mentioned above, I am not very tech savvy so I have no idea why a wireless protocol would be showing up there, I'm just listing everything I see in hopes that someone might know something I can try. This is why I am asking for help here - I'm not sure what has happened that has made me unable to connect, especially since it seemingly occured while nobody was using the computer.
I guess I should clarify that I'm not a total hillbilly- normally my firewall is set to 'on', but I set it to 'off' to try and troubleshoot the issues here as I was told that sometimes it can interfere with the computer's ability to connect to the internet. If this is not the case and firewall does not affect anything, I will turn it back on while I try to fix this.
I have tried the method you mentioned above a few times - I actually contacted my ISP earlier this week and they recommended resetting the router like that. They didn't mention any known network issues.

I'm not sure how Time Capsule can be replicated onto your external drive but there is a USB port on the back of TC that can be hooked up to any recent external drive.
Another thing to think about , besides a Time Capsule failure, is the theft of your Time Capsule, so it might be a good idea to consider separating any redundant back-up from your Time Capsule or both my be stolen.
TC will back up until full and then begin deleting the oldest back-ups. Mine is a 2TB Time capsule.
My back-up plan is as follows:
1. Macbook Air back-up on Time Capsule though Time Machine backs up everything - I think it's about every 30 min or so.
2. Contacts, reminders, appointments, notes, email are backed up through iCloud.
3. iTunes and non-itunes purchased music is on iMatch (and no need to back-up) and any non-iTunes music is backed up on an HP external drive (in case Time Capsule dies)
4. Photos are on my MacBook Air and are backed up on my HP external drive.
5. Office documents (Excel, Powerpoint, Access etc) are stored in a Skydrive app (like iCloud) and Skydrive syncs these docuemnts with the MS cloud and my old PC and does not alter their native format like storing in iCloud would do.

Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

I'm using the pre-installed versions of php and mysql under Mac OS X Server 10.4.4 running on a G4 and am unable to get anything involving mysql to work.
I ssh to the server and enter various commands in Terminal:
on typing "mysql" I get
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
and on typing "mysqladmin version" I get

I'm trying to get a bug database running (mantis) under Mac OS X Server 10.4.4 that I can access from local clients.
I'm trying to follow directions at http://www.mantisbugtracker.com/manual/manual.installation.php
without knowing anything about mysql or php and I'm stuck on step 3:
"Next we will create the necessary database tables and a basic configuration
file."
I get a message saying
"Does administrative user have access to the database? ( Lost connection to MySQL server during query )"
I don't even know if following the mantis directions has resulted in the creation of a database or not. Where would it be?

I've just done a clean install of OSX Server and added the latest MYSQL packaged installer. Afterwards I found the lock file in /private/tmp/mysql.lock
The easiest way to solve this problem is to create a symbolic link so that the lock file appears to be in right place.
e.g.
cd /var
sudo mkdir mysql <== this assumes the directory is missing
cd mysql
sudo ln -s /private/tmp/mysql.sock mysql.sock
After this msql commands should work fine, and you've not fiddled with the security settings on users/groups.

Go to System Preferences>Sound>Output and make sure that you selected the right output. I think if yo use HDMI you might not be abe to select another output.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.

I've found sample code that shows how to send email through Outlook using LabVIEW. On any computer I log into on our network, my profile loads and I have access to the exchange server through Outlook so the code works.
However, I am developing a program that will run on a lab computer with a generic PC login that is shared among everyone in the lab. Exchange server/outlook is not set up for the generic user.
Is it possible to have labVIEW send an email through the exchange server with a server name, username, and password coded into the executable?

You would need to send a standard SMTP message via Exchange. The Exchange server will likely require authentication, so you won't be able to use the built-in SMTP VIs, as they do not support authentication. If you're on Windows you can use .NET (see this example), or use the OpenG SMTP VIs.

After an unscheduled server reboot with DS up and running when trying to start a job in either Data Services Management Console or DS Designer getting the following:
"Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'"
The mysql.sock have never been in /tmp and on the production server it does not exist there and the production server is up and running correctly. If a link is created to mysql.sock(/home/user/boedge31/bobje/mysql) the job will start but return this message:
"Cannot retrieve <Version> from the repository. Additional database information: <SQL submitted to ODBC data source <localrepo> resulted in error <MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver mysqld-5.0.46-enterprise No database selected>. The SQL submitted is <select VERSION, SECURITYKEY, GUID from AL_VERSION where NAME = 'Repository Version'"
I checked and AL_VERSION and the Version field exist.
Before the shut down DS was working correctly and had no issues. My best guess is a part of the repository was corrupted during the unscheduled shut down. It seems like DS has "forgotten" some of the settings.
Any suggestions on a possible solution?

The issue has been solved.
There was a bad path in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Removed the path and DS started working again.
