Hi I just bought D-link router model DIR-605L and when i tried to print a page from my macbook pro it wont print. I down loaded latest driver and software but still it is not connecting. can somebody help Thanks

I see that you are experiencing issues printing over the wireless network. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Please provide the operating system you are using on the Mac, so I can provide you with the proper steps.
If the printer was setup previously on another network, you would have to restore the printer defaults to setup the printer on a new network.
Restore printer defaults first.
Turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise.
Print a configuration page to make sure the old network settings are cleared. Printing a Configuration Page.
Install the software to setup the wireless again.

    I would like to connect two nexus switches with a link. Like one c5020 and one c5548p. How do i need to configure the ports at both the switches which will be joined with a fiber cable.

    Do you have fc modules in each nexus? If so, they act much like the MDS 9148. All ports should be default auto speed and auto switchport mode. Insert fc-sfp's and a regular multimode fc cable between them. Default mode is fc switch.
    If that doesn't work, configure the mode on each port as E.
    Once done, the fc switch portion of each nexus will merge.

    Sorry to respond that your post is vague.
    Did you do a reset to factory?  It takes a day or a few days for a BB10 device to finish sync'ing and indexing and so forth after a wipe or an OS reinstall or upgrade.   If performance is subpar, give it another day to see if it improves.
    On the last, I may not understand.  I believe you are saying you are connecting to the device with Link and the computer mounts  the microSD card as a drive but not the device's onboard memory.  Do you have mass storage mode enabled?   If so, disable mass storage mode and try again.

    Not possible. Check 3rd party firmware like dd-wrt.

    Test while started in Recovery : if the problem persists, then it likely is a hardware issue.
    Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) probably won't change anything, but you can readily do it before contacting the repairers.

    Local Link, Global Link and first ULA adress are acquired via EUI-64.

    Using WireShark, I noticed :
    - Destination under my 2 Lived Mac OS X 10.8.3 doesn't received ICMP6 neighbor solicitation if adress are Global Link or ULA.
    But ICMP6 neighbor sollicitation are emitted.
    No issue with Local Link address.
    Using WireShark's monitor mode, I noticed :
    - 802.11 frame are received on multicast group associated with asked IP neighbor solicitation for any kind of address.
    It seems that ICMP6 neighbor solicitation are lost between 802.11 frames and IPV6 / ICMP6 stack.
    IPV6 firewall is not configured to drop packets.

    VMWARE Fusion is installed on my Lived MacBook Air 10.8.3 and MacBook Pro 10.8.3.
    But tests are made with associated modules not loaded :

    Thank you for your reply. It would make sense for me if R2 would not receive any packet, but it receives a request and then does not send any reply to NS sent from R1 as I showed in the example. Path to R2 which is a gateway is seen as directly connected on R1:

  • WRT 120N- Cannot connect to the internet with more than one PC at a time.

    Before I went on a three month vacation,I could connect 3 or 4 PC's either wireless or wired to my router with no problems at all.I have a desk top and a laptop computer which I use at home.After I returned,I found that I could connect to the internet with only one PC at a time.

    I presume that this model is a modem **bleep** router as I do not have a separate modem with my system.I have a DSL connection and the firmware version of my router is ver.1.0.If I recall,I did upgrade to the next firmware upgrade a few months after I purchased the router but I am not sure.
    I use both my PC's to run a small business venture and I am worried that resetting the router may cause some other problems and will stop me from using the internet.
    The Command Prompt information above was taken from my laptop.
    Any help will be really appreciated.

    The results I obtained using ipconfig in the command prompt have already been mentioned in my OP.
    I do not know if the above result is what it is supposed to be but I still cannot access my router's home page.How do I verify if there is a proxy server and if there is one,how do I disable it in my browsers?This problem occured suddenly as a few months earlier all was well.It's getting rather frustrating.

    I have an Apple Extreme (5th Gen) and I have tried to extend my network with an Apple Express Model No. A1264 with the ethernet connection.  It does not seem to work, and has crashed my network twice.  When I did get it to work, the wireless crawled.  When I took the AirPort Express off of the network the speed went back up.
    Can this be done to extend the network, as I have the Extreme in the basement where the cable comes into the house, and I have two other floors that need wireless access.  Any suggestions for this older model AirPort Express?

    We are creating the PDF documents that contains website links. The problem that is occurring is whenever we click on the website links in the pdf file, it opens up IE browser but just show connecting message without actually showing the link and its content. This is ocuurring when we open the PDF using adobe reader 10.1.1 . However it seems to be working fine with Adobe reader 9 . Moreover the length of the URL is bit large and seems like links work fine when we have 253 characters in the URL and if they are more than that then it is not working.Since it is working fine in Adobe reader 9 is there any constraint imposed on the length of URL with adobe reader 10.1.1 . Anything regarding this will be of great help.

    Try removing a plugin...
    Quit Safari.
    Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type this exactly as you see it here:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
    Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin (or just PDF Browser plugin) from the Internet Plug-Ins folder to the Trash.
    Relaunch Safari to test.

    I have Multiple iPod Touchs (7 to be exact) with Facetime linked to a single Apple ID using different email addresses but all connected to the same WiFi network. Problem is that when I try to call one from another, multiples ring. I can call my iPhone4 with no problems even when the iPhone4 is on the same WiFi (iPhone4 is also linked to the same Apple ID). From what I have read, this should work and, in fact, it does.... sorta. Does anyone know how to get the calls to be answered by only the iTouch that is associated with that email that I am calling?

    (2) If the seven emails you used are literally those you posted, perhaps creating more and using each as a separate iD rather than merely caller iDs associated with only one iD could get FaceTime working.
    I would start with only two iPods. Once you can make two work, you can replicate the solution five more times.

    I am totally confused. Could it be that facetime is sending out both the primary ID and the associated id? Help!!!

  • Is SharePoint 2013 Connect to Outlook compatible with Outlook 2013 64-bit?

    The Connect to Outlook feature is greyed out on the tool bar and when I click on it I get the message "This control is currently disabled".  I have spent a good deal of time researching and troubleshooting (see below) with no success. Below

    Tested with both Compatibility Mode on and off

    We are cloud-hosted
    Office 2013 64-bit is installed on my machine

    Per my test,  I am able to use the Connect to Outlook feature with Office 64-bit.
    For your issue that Connect to Outlook feature is greyed out:
    Activate Offline Synchronization for External Lists feature.
    Go to the Calendar.
    On the Calendar tab click List Settings.
    Copy the Web address, e.g. https://www.contoso.com/sales/Lists/Calendar/calendar.aspx.
    Paste the URL in your browser and press Enter.
    Go to the Calendar tab and click List Settings.
    You will notice that the Connect to Outlook link is now enabled.

    The Dynamic Photo Gallery has a Dynamic List Menu generated from the galleries.xml file.
    I would like to load the Dynamic Galleries with a link if possible. Currently I have 3 Galleries.... China, Eqypt & Paris

    Why are you bothering to upgrade to Lion?
    If your machine is one of those that can't upgrade to the better Mountian Lion, then it's much better off remaining on Snow Leopard because of all the legacy software your running won't need to be replaced.
    The Lions and beyond won't run your PPC software, and likely most of your Intel software neither, no Rosetta!
    A older machine that can only run Lion is a dated machine, and likely due to expire soon.
    I can't see even bothering to go to Lion and having to buy all new software for a old machine, not at your stage.
    A newer 10.8 machine would be a better choice, because you know Apple releases a new OS X version every year now and the year is almost up, so if you get to 10.7, then your going to be behind again shorty anyway on the old machine, but the new machine you can upgrade OS X to the latest new version.
    It doesn't make much sense at this point and time to upgrade to Lion for you, the older machine will run best with Snow Leopard anyway.
    If you MUST use one of the OS X Lions, then I suggest a new machine, that way it can be upgraded further.
    Apple is still issuing security updates for Snow Leopard, it's got a 1/3 apx market share.
    OS X 10.4/10.5 need to upgrade, 10.6.8 ok still
