Connecting libratone speaker wirelessly to apple TV

Is there a way to connect the Libratone speaker wirelessly to the Apple TV?
I setup a projector connected to Apple TV (HDMI). The Libratone speaker is connected with a 3.5 mm mini jack to the Apple TV.
I want to get rid of the cable.

1- Please clarify the setup: Libratone speaker to airport express: 3.5mm mini jack cable or wireless?
2- Sound control using airtunes from Apple TV? By what device do we control the volume?

Unfortunately, you cannot use a keyboard with the Apple TV.

I just purchased an Apple TV.  I have a pc running windows 7.  It is connected to a router and the router is connected to a wireless router.  I connect my iPhone, iPad and apple tv to wireless network but do not know how to put the pc on the wifi network so the Apple TV can do home share.

I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked.  To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open.  It also needs to be on the same network.  My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not.  He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band.  Hope this helps.

  • ITunes recognizes apple TV over wired connection but not wireless - Help

I was able to get my Apple TV to sync from iTunes after I connected a networkcable from my apple TV to my Airport wireless router.
When I'm using wireless connection and I go to network settings in Apple TV it shows that I am have connectivity to my network and a strong signal. I am able to connect to uTube, see theatrical trailers, etc, but I cannot get my iTunes to see the Apple TV wirelessly! I have been able to get iTunes to see it on a couple of occasions, but then the Apple TV disappears after about 15-30 seconds.
Any ideas on what might be causing this. I would much rather be connecting wirelessly, as I dont want a network cable strewn across my living room.
    Thanks

Two things come to mind. One is that you have two subnets in your home network. Your AppleTV and Macintosh have IP addresses that are something like 192.168.1.15, are the first three numbers, the 192.168.1.x the same on both AppleTV and your Macintosh? Second thing is can you confirm you have only one DHCP server turned on in your network. DHCP Servers on your Airport Base Stations or Macintosh's show up as "Share your Internet Connection" settings, having two DHCP's would also create this problem.

i need connect  bluetooth or wireless headphone to my apple tv and what can i do with Optical Audio

If you want to connect the ATV to a receiver, connect it either via HDMI or Optical Audio.

  • HT1595 Why is my Apple TV able to connect to the wireless but not the Internet?

I cannot connect to the Internet! It's so frustrating it says it can connect to the wireless but not the Internet I know I have a signal because I have my laptop and iPad connected and working fine but its just Apple TV that cannot connect! Also when I continued without Internet it wouldn't let me sign in with my apple id even though I know it was right is this because I wasn't connected to the Internet? Someone help me please

It's in your router.  Google is your friend, using the make and model of your router and the key words "port forwarding".
There are lots of guides, for example http://www.wikihow.com/Set-up-Port-Forwarding-on-a-Router
The hardest part is figuring out where to go in your particular router's menu system to type in the IP address of your Apple TV

  • How do I connect My Macbook Pro screen to my TV wirelessly through Apple TV

I went to am apple store and was told I could do it wirelessly through apple Tv. Can i or not help me please??

Hi George. AirPlay Mirroring only works with iPads and iPhones. See:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4085
Now, if you just want to push video content playing in iTunes on your Mac, then go down to the lower right corner of the iTunes window and click the AirPlay icon and select your AppleTV in the list. The content will appear on your AppleTV.
You must have Home Sharing setup on both iTunes on the Mac and the settings on the AppleTV.

  • Connecting a Video Splitter to Apple TV

    Hi, I'm new on this.
I bought a Tripp-Lite HDMI over Cat5 Extender (http://www.tripplite.com/sku/B126-004/tab/reviews) to split my Apple TV video signal into 5 TV's but when I connect them together, I can't get any signal working I connect the Apple TV to the splitter and the splitter shows that it's getting the signal but then the signal is not geting on the local TV. If I restart the Apple TV I get to see for a moment the Apple logo, but as soon as it finishes turning on, the signal goes away. I've tried this splitter with Sky TV System and it works perfectly. So I'm guessing the issue relies on the Apple TV. For some reason it's cutting off the signal.
Does anybody knows of some settings i have to change on the Apple TV to make it work?
    Thanks

  • Airport no longer connects to OPEN wireless networks

Lots of people seem to think that their airport keeps dropping the connection to OPEN wireless networks because of the 2008-001 airport update. That is probably only true for a Macbook 2,1 (aka Macbook Core 2 Duo).
I had the issue on my Macbook 1,1 (aka Macbook Core Duo). I wiped the system clean. Re-installed OS-X. Applied all updates BUT:
    1. Airport 2008-001
    2. Security update 2008-002
I also downgraded the Airport firmware to 2007-004 (aka version 1.1.9.3).
Technically speaking this should have resolved the issue but it didn't.
Why do I believe it should have resolved the issue? Because the same approach worked on the Macbook 2,1 and they both have the exact same Airport card.
Now I have no idea how to get it fixed - I think I have tried every possible way. There doesn't seem to be any way to contact Apple coz I don't have a support contract.
But hey, do I need a contract? Apple broke this for me ... they should fix this. I am about to post this as a tech article on engadget and other places because there are SO many people suffering from poor testing on Apple's behalf.
    Apple, please respond.
    Thanks.

Visited the "genius" bar this afternoon - what a trip!! The guy said this is a Verizon issue, period. I was like you must be kidding, there are SO many people out there who got affected and not everyone uses verizon ... he actually got pretty mad and said you should be using mac hardware (router) and secure network. I even told him my second Macbook is working fine on the same Verizon network. This is their new location in the Northern VA area at Fair Oaks Mall.
I would call that guy anything but a genius, what a waste of time. This was my first and last trip to a "genius" bar.
If anyone comes across any new ideas, please share.
    Thanks.

  • HT204291 Connecting JBL Speaker via Airplay to Itunes on my pc.

I have a JBL Wireless speaker. Since changing ISP the airplay icon has vanished from the itunes on my windows 8 computer. Any idea how I can connect these two devices. They are both connected to the same network, and both worked together before.

As far as I know I have the latest firmware for the router. This question has nothing to do with an apple tv, which I don't have, nor an iphone.
I'm trying to connect my HP desktop computer which has itunes installed on it, to my JBL wirless speaker. This combination worked with my previous isp and router.
My computer is connected to the wireless network. My speaker is connected to the same wireless network. What I can't get is the airplay icon to appear in itunes.
All I want is to get the airplay icon to appear in itunes, so as I can stream my music from itunes on my computer to my JBL wireless speaker. It worked before, I need it to work again. It's a simple request for help, but I don't know how to achieve it.

  • My HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 won't connect to my wireless router

This is bizarre.  I have had my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 for about 6 months.  It has generally worked fine, and we have used it wirelessly only.  But now it refuses to connect to the router.  It can FIND the router, and it can find other networks in the area, but it won't connect to the router.  I ran the Wireless Network Test, and the results say:
Wireless On - Pass // Wireless Working - Pass //
Network Name (SSID) found - Pass //  Wireless Networks Detected - 9
Printer Settings Consistent with Wireless Router Settings - Pass / No Filtering - FAIL //
So it recommends solution as follows: "1 If MAC Address filtering is enabled, and you would like to keep it enabled, you must add the Mac address of your printer to the list of permitted devices for your router before continuing."
Except, guess what, I don't have MAC Address filtering enabled.  I wouldn't know how to do that, much less check for it.
Also, before today, this was never a problem.  HELP!
    Thanks....
If you are interested, here's more detail and background.
Before today, the only problem we have had is that frequently our Apple laptop (OS X 10.6) has trouble connecting to the printer.  This has been odd because the printer is connected to the network, and so is the laptop, but the laptop can't find the printer - it thinks the printer is "offline" (even though it's not).  Usually, if I wait a while, it will find the printer, and it will resolve itself work fine.  If not, we sometimes have found that it can fix itself if you restart the laptop -- restarting the printer does not make a difference.   In fact, I did exactly that today, and it resolved itself.  And I printed.  Fine, right?
But then I wanted to do more printing, and the problem of the laptop not finding the printer came up again, so I decided to really "get to the bottom of this."  I don't remember exactly what I did, but somehow I was persuaded by the online help, that the correct solution would be to go into my System Preferences / Print and Fax, and click on the "-", which de-installs the printer, with the idea of re-installing the printer.  But then when I tried to re-install the printer, it could not find the printer.  Ugh!  Wierdly, it found an 8600 Scanner, but not an 8600 printers.  After installing and de-installing the 8600 scanner a few times, I eventually deinstalled everything, and I decided to start from scratch.  I got my HP disk, and installed all the software again from the beginning (even though it was already there), and then it looked for my printer, but couldn't find it.  So then I got a USB cord, and plugged that in.
So, now I have a situation where I do have a working printer via the USB cord, but no wireless connection at all.  In particular, since the Office Jet Pro 8600 won't connect to the router, I don't know what else to do.  My Apple MacBook pro is 2 feet away from the printer, and it is connected to the router just fine (as is my blackberry), and I have never before had a problem connecting to the wireless router by the printer.
    Any suggestions?

There are two things that can trip the mac filtering test to fail:  actual MAC address filtering setup (sounds like this is not the case) and using wireless channel 6 or automatic for wireless channel in the wireless network settings (in the router).  Since it does show failed for MAC filtering and you do not use this option, try changing the wireless channel in the router to 1 or 11.  Those two channels provide the best compatibility with printers due to less interference.  Almost everything defaults to auto or 6 for the channel and this causes a lot of interference.  This change should not affect anything at all.  To do this, you may need to contact the router manufacturer as the process differs from router to router.
What brand and model is the router?
Has anything in the network settings changed at all?
What version is the Mac OS X?  There may be additional steps to take as it sounds like there are two separate issues involved and this could be revisited later.

  • How do I connect my macbook pro to apple tv?

I have a Macbook Pro 2.7 GHz i7 that I purchased last Summer and I want to wirelessly connect it to my TV via Apple TV.  I'm running the lastest OS X 10.7.3
I watched a couple youtube videos and those people had an icon next to the wifi signal that allowed them to choose "apple tv." I don't have that icon.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do?  I'm pretty new to Macs so "hand holding" may be necessary!

Hi Hartagold33... I guess what you saw is the 'AirParrot' icon, this is the App I would recommend for wirelessly connect to your TV via Apple TV. It works very well for me.
It is pretty stable, demands a lot of CPU though, but don't worry, I have the same MB Pro you have: MBPro 2.7 i7 8GB RAM, it works very nicely.
Let me know if this works for you...! Regards.

Does the iOS devices connect to other networks?
Does the iOS devices see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Since both iPhone and iPod stopped connecting I suspect a problem with your network.
