Connecting (Linking) 2 Different PPMs

I want to connect to 2 different PPMs in SAP APO PP/DS. If Any one has done that previously or has any idea about that............plz post the same.
any help on it is appreciated.......

Your question "How to pass parameters from one report to the other" is not specific enough for me to understand exactly what you are trying to accomplish. However check the following in the Active Studio User's Guide to see if it answers your questions:
* "Drilling Across" in the "Using Drilling" section mentioned above.
* "Using Prompts and Parameters". Including "Driving Prompts and Parameters from Other Views".
Furthermore, see all of the Tutorials on the BAM OTN page. I suggest you work through the series to get a better understanding of how to work with data and reports in BAM.

Yes possible
You would just required created two data sources which points to both your SQL Servers. And inside report you can create datasets based on each of these data sources to retrieve and display the data from them. In cases where you would require merging the
data from both the systems you can use functions like Lookup, LookupSet etc. Reports created in SSRS can be rendered in a variety of formats like Excel, PDF, CSV etc

DB Links in different schemas

Hi,
I'd like to change DB links in different schemas with SYS user.
I've tried to create a script to change all DB links (database it should connect to and password)
ALTER DATABASE LINK "database_link"
CONNECT TO database IDENTIFIED BY password;
ORA-02024: database link not found
Is there no way to do this as SYS? Do I need to logon to everey schema in the database and alter the DB link?

The thing is that I know all the passwords but I'd like to only run one script as system or sys and connect to all schemas with private database links and drop them and then create them with new information. Is this at all possible without writing PL/SQL?

11g Multiple Rpd on one BI server connecting to two different data marts

Did anyone tried and successfully implemented multiple rpds on one bi server. I have similar requirement in one of the clients place.
1. Install OBIEE 11g with vertical scaling( reason client doesnt want to spend extra money on additional server licenses) and would like to utilize the powerful existing servers.
2. Install 2 rpds on One BI Server and connect to two different datamarts.
3. Create two PS and provide two links to have two different reporting environments.
Appreciate with any pointers. I am very clear on Vertical Scaling and bumping up the Bi , PS and Java Hosts components. I saw a post with successful implementation of the same functionility in 10g and nothing in 11g. I already reviewed ritmanmeed blogs but did not give a complete picture of successfull implementation.

Yes, it is possible to have two different .rpds on one BI Server but then you need to set up two different Presentation Servers.

I have no proof, but I think it will not work with an adapter, only Mini Display Port or Thunderbolt.

I have a question. I have a list with two new forms, one is created in SPD the other one is created in InfoPath (both forms are created by developer).
I don't know why the new form link to different page when I click "New Item" in ribbon and "Add new item" in list view.
1. Will open new form that created in InfoPath when click on "New Item" in ribbon.
2. Will open new form that created in SPD when click on "Add new item" in list view.

One way to do this would be to hold the urls for the pages you need to display in a table. You could then build the links as one of the columns of a report using some fancy SQL. 
 
Or you could make a simple function to return the correct link based on the relevant parameters:

Your report could then include the function as one of the columns in your report.

Multiple objects to have the same rollover state at the same time (but link to different pages)

I have a mac
I would like to know how i can have multiple images with the same rollover states - but which show up at the same time on more than one image, (but each item to have its own linking property applied to it)?
see image below: i want both box 'A' to pop with the same rollover state even if I'm hovering on just one of the boxes. But i want each of the boxes to link to different pages in my website.
Ive tried grouping the images and moving them to their own layer, but the rollovers aren't 'linking' together on multiple objects

It's not, but you don't need that to achieve the behavior you've described. A1, a trigger, will have the states and hyperlink you desire. On rollover it will show its rollover state and will show its target container which will be directly on top of A2. It will look like a rollover state for A2. Repeat this for A2, B1 and B2 and I believe you achieve the behavior you've described. It's just a different way of approaching the problem (that happens to fit the tools available in Muse).

Iphone will sync with one and only one cpomptuer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer. This is the design of the iphone.
It will erase the content when you sync.
Why not update from the comptuer with which you normally sync?

How can I make a link a different color than the other links according to the current page?

Hello. I have created a navigation bar. And I would like to style the links to have the current page link a different color than the other links. For example, if all of the links have a black background, I would like to have the current page link to have a white background. The reason that I would like to style them this way is so that the visitor knows what page is being visitied.
I tried different ways but all of them did not show to make any change to the links. This is what I have so far. The links work, but all of them have the same color and background. When on the home page, I would like to have the home page link to have a white background with black letters. I would appreciate your advice.

How to create links to different files on the same page?

Good day to all again,
can someone please guide me through creating several links to different files on the same page. In other words, I am creating a photo page where my links are called Gallery 1, Gallery 2, etc... I would like to create links so when the User clicks on Gallery 1, they see Gallery 1 slide show in the frame; when the user then clicks Gallery 2, then they see Gallery 2 slide show in the window.
My slide show files are done and I am using GoLive CS2. I have no knowledge of JavaScript or ActionScript/Flash.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

address. It's easy, inexpensive, and it works. I tried to do this
with the Photo Gallery in DW and FireWorks--but couldn't get it
right. CC uses Flash and Javascript.

JDBC connection to two different machines from the same program

I want to use JDBC to connect to two different databases that are on two different MySQL installations on two different machines.
One of the installations is MySQL 4.1.12 and the other is 4.1.14-nt
For some reason, all my statements seem to be going only to one machine, even though I am very clearly set it up to go to two different machines.
Does anyone know whether connecting to two different installations from one program presents any unusual problems?

Unless there is some horrible defect in the MySQL JDBC driver (which I doubt!), there should be no problem and like the other poster says, please post snippits of your code so we can see what your doing...

Connecting to a different schema within a stored procedure

I have a Stored proce "TestProc" which is a part of schema "test1"... Now within this proc i need to connect to a different schema "test2", fetch some data from its tables and disconnect from the same, but not from the original schema "test1". Both the schemas are located on the same database server so i guess no different network connection. I hope u guys got my question... if not tell me... How shud i approach this requirement....

This would all be handled within the same session, so there is no extra connect or disconnect involved here.
The user 'test2' needs to grant the appropriate privileges directly to 'test1'. These grants must be direct and not through a role. If the procedure is just selecting data from test2, then test2 needs to:
test2>grant select on tablea to test1;where tablea represents a table in the test2 schema. There would be a separate grant for each table in test2 accessed by test1.
The code in test1 can refer to the table in test2 as test2.tablea, or you can create a private synonym in test1:
test1>create synonym tablea for test2.tablea;so every reference to tablea does not need to be qualified with the 'test2.' prefix.
