Connecting MBP to ipod

Hi guys,
Have my ipod attached to some external speakers in my living room, and its connected to my mac via wifi sharing, is there anyway to change the music playing on my ipod from my mac ? or does it only work the other way round ?

No way. Normally, people do it in the other direction. I mean: Play music in iTunes on your computer. Then have your iPod with you. There is an app that works over a wireless from your iPod touch to control what is playing on your computer in iTunes. (It is called Remote and it is free.

How is your iPod configured to sync music? In other words, what options and configurations do you have enabled from under your iPod's Summary and Music tabs in iTunes?

If you are setting up the iPod try via iTunes. It is easier to troubleshoot a working iPod.

My Ipod Touch is disabled and when I connect to Itunes to recover it, it states that itiTunes could not connect to the iPod touch "iPod touch" because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPod touch before it can recover.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Connecting a new ipod to my computer- Getting error message

Hope someone can help me with this one...I am trying to download music from my computer to my new ipod (have another one too) and am getting the following error message:
"The IPOD "SHABNAMS" can not be used because it requires itunes Version 7.0 or later. Go to itunes.com to download the latest version of itunes or install itunes from the cd that came with your ipod."
I have version 7.0 downloaded already and was even able to sync the ipod with my laptop, but I keep getting the message above with my desktop computer.
Any ideas onw hat to do?

Not if you are only gonna connect the iPod one or two times.

However, after about 5 seconds it stops and says "ITunes could not connect to the IPod software server". I found the apple webpage that is supposed to help me, but when i went to the LAN settings in the control panel i found that 'Automatically detect settings" was already checked. I do not know what to do, Please help.

If yo mean the iPod will not connect to your wifi network:
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices now connect?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

I connected an old iPod from a different computer to my iTunes account and now my iTunes account will not let me download anything. My iPod touch will not take my password. How can I fix this?

Is your device recognized by your computer? If yes, copy the pictures and videos as shown in this article:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
If it is not recognized, try this first: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Disable autosync in iTunes, right click on it in the device list and choose "transfer purchases" to copy apps and other media bought in iTunes to your new library.
Do the same again and choose "backup", to create a manual backup without syncing.
Since your device will be erased due to the new iTunes library during the first sync, you can use this backup afterwards to restore your settings and data.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer before you start, to be able to merge calendars and contacts.

Are yo trying to pair via an app that supports BT pairing? If you are I would try:
- Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
