Connecting multiple devices to Lan ports on airport

Hi, I have an Airport Base Station where I need multiple devices connected to through LAN cables. In short it is a) Apple TV and b) External TV providers box.
When I plug in the Apple TV to the first LAN port it works great, and I then connect the external TV providers box to the second lan port, and now it won't connect to the internet.
If I turn these around, then the apple TV won't connect, but the box will connect.
The station is set-up in bridge mode, and when I switch it to DHCP/NAT, then I get an error "doubble NAT".
What do I need to do to get both devices working at the same time when connected through the LAN ports?

The Time Capsule must connect to a device like this using the "Off (Bridge Mode)" setting to avoid errors on the network. Make sure that the Ethernet cable from the Technicolor gateway connects to the WAN "O" port on the Time Capsule.
If the Off (Bridge Mode) setting does not work, I would suggest that you reset the Time Capsule back to factory default settings and then set it up again.
Are you still using the OS X (10.4.9) operating system that you indicate in your profile? If yes, you would need a much more up to date operating system to work with the Time Capsule.
If resetting the Time Capsule and setting it up again does not work, then I would recommend that you contact Apple Support for more assistance. Click on the flag of your country on this link:

Multiple devices no longer work with Airport Extreme

I can’t get multiple devices to work with my Airport Extreme any longer. Normally, I have 4 wireless devices with my Airport Extreme: MacBook Pro, iPhone 5, Sony Wireless Blu-Ray Player, and Windows Laptop. On a daily basis, I use the MacBook Pro and iPhone 5 at the same time on the network. I have even had all 4 devices on the network without a problem.
Problem: Since last night, I cannot use any of the devices on the network at the same time. Every time I try to use two devices, I am asked to login into to my ISP and the device currently on the network is booted off.
Additional info: I live in an apartment complex and use the complex’s ISP. Unusually, since yesterday another device (my guess is a neighbor’s Airport Express) has been showing up in my AirPort Utility. I cannot access that device because it is password protected.
Attempted Solutions: I have tried a soft reboot, hard reboot, and factory reboot of the Airport Extreme, but still have the same problem. I have also cycled the modem on a repeated basis.
The ISP does not think it is their problem as I can still connect to them through either directly plugging into the modem/outlet or through the AirPort Extreme. The ISP has great customer service and are usually very helpful, so I don’t think they are trying to blow me off.
Perhaps, my AirPort Extreme’s settings are off.
If anyone can provide me with a possible solution, it would be greatly appreciated.

A factory reset on the AirPort Extreme would have configured the AirPort Extreme to act as a router, providing normal DHCP and NAT services for your network.
But, the symptoms that you describe indicate that the AirPort Extreme's Router Mode settings may be configured for "Off (Bridge Mode)".....a setting in which another router at the apartment complex would be responsible for allowing multiple devices on your network to connect.
Using your MacBook Pro, we need to check the Router Mode setting on your AirPort Extreme as follows:
Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the AirPort Extreme icon
Click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Network tab at the top of the next window
Please check the current setting for Router Mode and report on what that setting might be.......either DHCP and NAT......or "Off (Bridge Mode)".

Number of Ethernet Devices Supported on Ethernet/LAN port of Airport Express

I am using an Airport Express to extend my wireless network (Apple Time Capsule Base) and using the ethernet/LAN port to connect a wired device (a DirecTV DECA) so that my DirecTV HD DVR box can connect to the internet thru my home network. Works great. I have Whole Home DVR installed and so the other DirecTV receivers in the house are connecting to one another over the the coax and using the (DECA - Ethernet over Coax) to talk to one another and they each recieve an IP address via DHCP from the Apple Time Capsule Base - obviously thru the brdige created by the AirPort Express. Recently added an additional DirecTV reciever and for some reason this one will not get an address? Is as if the Aiport Express has "maxed out" the number of ethernet devices it will connect or bridge on the LAN side? I have tried shutting everything down and bringing DirecTV recievers on in different orders and it is alwasy the last one (the 5th one) that fails to get an address. Anyone have any knowledge if there is indeed a limit of the number of ethernet devices that are supported on the Ethernet/LAN port of the Airport Express? Thanks for any insight.

Hi there I am connecting a Canon 5D to my laptop trying to use it as a webcam trough camtwist.
At the same time I need to output the streaming to a videoprojector.
The cam is connected to the mini display port do there is no port available for the VGA cable anymore.
Do I need to use a different port for the projector? Should I buy a video card?
Can't connect the camera via USB as that is too slow and it will freeze.

Using a Switch to Increase LAN ports on Airport Express

I'm currently using an Aiport Extreme as a wireless AP to my network, being directly connected to my ADSL modem/router (This is handling DHCP etc). This all works great, with an iMac, Macbook and various other wireless devices connected very nicely over 802.11n. It also functions as a print server and NAS through the USB port (Really helpful features)
I have a number of other ethernet only devices (Set-top boxes, consoles etc) located away from the Extreme (In the lounge, under the TV). I want to connect these to the extreme's wireless network, having moved house and cable connections nolonger being an option. I was considering using WDS with a second Extreme, but thought about the possibility of a Express instead, in order to take advantage of the iTunes capability, its comparably low cost and small size. The difficulty is it only has 1 LAN port for use in WDS (Bridge) mode.
The simple question is, can I attached a basic switch (4 port for example) to the LAN port of the Express when it is running in WDS bridged mode to allow multipe ethernet devices to be attached to the Express?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Connecting multiple devices to one speakerset

Hello,
I want to connect my xbox 360 and my laptop to one speakerset. Windows (XP) not receiving IP address from LAN port on Airport Extreme

I have a DSL modem connected to the AEBS WAN port. Three computers (one Windows laptop, one emac, and one powerbook) can successfully connect to the internet wirelessly through the AEBS. The remaining desktop PC, running Windows XP, normally connects to the LAN port on the AEBS and there are no problems.
Suddenly, the desktop (always configured to get ip addresses automatically using DHCP) is not getting an IP address from the AEBS. I've confirmed this via IPconfig, and the address is 169..... The Windows error message is "limited or no connectivity."
When the desktop is connected directly to the DSL modem, however, it works just fine. Of course this isn't a satisfactory fix, as it means the DSL modem is no longer connected to the AEBS WAN port, and none of the wireless computers have internet access.
I've determined that the problem is not in the LAN port itself, as my powerbook successfully connects via ethernet through the AEBS LAN port.
I've also updated the AEBS firmware to 5.7.
Any suggestions on how to fix this. As I mentioned, the problem occurred overnight.

Try using System Restore to set the computer back to a time when it was working.

There is no provision for this in AirPort Utility. You can disable wireless, but not ethernet.

I am thinking of buying an Airport Extreme to wirelessly extend the dual-band WiFi network from my Time Capsule. In this scenario, with the Extreme configured as a bridge, would I be able to use the LAN ports on the Extreme to join some AV kit to the network?

I am having difficulty connecting my internet phone to the internet. I have a Comcast Modem with only 1 ethernet port which is connected to the Airport Express. We are using a secured wireless network and I do not have a way of entering a password or identifiying the network on the Internet Phone. Will I be able to connect the phone to the LAN for Internet access or do I need something else? Normally I would simply try this out, but we have an old Airport express as the primary wireless router and we'll need to re-work out in home network a bit to get the newer Airport closer to the phone. I'd like to know if this is doable before we put all the effort in. Thank you

The Ethernet port on the "fios box" (I assume you are referring to a DVR/STB) is not active. However it's easy to use a MoCA adapter to get a direct connection if you have a working coax outlet. Simply search "MoCA adapter" in the "Ask the Community" search box for details. Also look here:

Connect multiple devices to one Thunderbolt port with docking station

Hello everybody,
for a video editing setup I would like to use all devices connected until now directly to my iMac just with a Thunderbolt docking station on only one Thunderbolt port. What I do not understand is, whether bitrate will stay the same for each device or will be splitted? Has this to do with daisy chaining Thunderbolt devices?
So this will be the setup:
1 Thunderbolt cable from iMac to Thunderbolt docking station
devices connected to docking station:
one Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt
one external USB 2.0 hard drive
one external USB 3.0 hard drive
external HDMI monitor
Ethernet connection
So the general question is, will all of these devices get only part of the bitrate that Thunderbolt provides or can each device, theoretically, get full Thunderbolt bitrate?
And are there different types of Thunderbolt cables (Thunderbolt 1 or 2) that I have to pay attention to?

Multiple Devices on USB Port

I know that the AP Extreme allows you to either connect a USB hard drive or a printer to its USB port on the back, but what if I wanted to connect both? Would it stand to reason that if I were to connect a hub and then connect my printer and hard drive I would have a working scenario? Any help will be appreciated!

Does the Brother printer work if it is the ONLY printer connected to the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS)?
Be aware that ONLY printing is supported by the AEBS's USB port. Therefore you will only be able to access one out of the 6 functions that device is capable of.
