Connecting multiple NMEA sources to a single system

Hi,
I am trying to interface multiple NMEA sources in my system, my Labview program hangs after sometime if I do not have provision for resetting it manually
Pls help me out

What are these sources? How are you talking to them? What does your code looklike?

  • Data Extraction from Multiple data sources into a single Infoprovider

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone send me links or examples on how to extract data from multiple data sources into 1 Cube/DSO.
Can anyone send me example scenarios for extracting data from 2 data sources into a single Cube/DSO.
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi Ashok,
Check the following link from SAP help. Ths is probably what you are looking for.
[ Multiple data sources into single infoprovider|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/e3/e60138fede083de10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm]
Data from multiple data sources which are logically related and technicall have the same key can be combined into single record.
For example, if you have Sales order item and sales order item status .
These both have the same key - sales order and item and are logically related.
The Sales order item - provides information on Sales order item - material , price, quantity, plant etc.
The item status  - povides information on delivery status, billing status, rejection status....
These are two different data sources 2LIS_!1_VAITM ad 2LIS_11_VASTI.
In case you have few master data attributes coming from different systems ie tow data sources in different systems say completely defines your master data. Then you could use a DSO or infoobject to combine the records.
If you want to see aggregated data you use a cube.
ie say you want to analyzae the customer revenue on a particular material and a particular project.
The project details would come from Project syatem and Sales details fom sales flow.
The data is then combined in the DSO with key cutomer and sales area say.
Then it is aggregated at cube level...by not using sales order in the cube model...so all sales order of the same customer would add while loading the cube.. to give direct customer spend values for your sales area at aggregated level.
    Hope this helps,
    Best regards,
    Sunmit.

  • Connecting multiple ECC Clients on same ECC system to BW system(s)

    Hello.
We are considering connecting our Dev BW system to multiple clients on the same Dev ECC system. This connection would be for a limited time.  We are wondering what the effect would be on the ECC system after we 'disconnect' our BW system from one of the clients.
Another thing we are considering is to create a seperate BW sandbox system and to connect that to a client on our Dev ECC system.  The Dev ECC system will, at the same time, have a connection to a client on our existing Dev BW system. For example, having DEVBWcnlt100 -> DEVECCclnt100 and SNDBWclnt200 -> DEVECCclnt200 where DEVECC is a system and DEVBW and SNDBW are systems of their own. Our Sandbox BW system will have a limited life and at some point be taken down and no longer be a valid source system for the DEVECC system. We are concerned about what the impact would be to the DEV ECC system's client independent data once the Sandbox BW system is disconnected and taken down permenantly. Is 'residual' client independent data something we need to be concerned about? Is having two different BW systems connected to ECC clients on the same ECC systems a 'bad practice'? Any and all comments are welcome as we have not yet acted on our ideas yet.
Thanks very much for whatever comments you might provide,
    Geoff.

No impact on the BW system. The only thing that you will have to take care of is that any process chains which fetch data from this DEV ECC system should not be put on periodic cycle because after disconnecting the ECC system, these would start failing.
Another thing we are considering is to create a seperate BW sandbox system and to connect that to a client on our Dev ECC system. Again no impact on ECC system. As for the client connected earlier to sandbox system, just clear all the queues in RSA7, LBWQ

No its not at all a bad practice

  • Can you connect multiple VMM Instances to a single Operations Manager 2012/R2 Deployment

    Hi Everyone,
Just seeking some clarification around the Operations Manager and Virtual Machine Manager integration.  Is it possible to integrate multiple Virtual Machine Manager 2012 Deployments with a single Operations Manager 2012 Deployment or is the connection
between VMM and OM a 1:1 relationship?
    Thanks in advance,
    Hayden

Yes VMM and OM 1:1 is supported.
Theoretically many VMM can integrate with single OM but its not very realistic and well tested as it puts several configuration and performance constraints on each of the VMMs.
I’d recommend installing SCOM (inside a VM is fine)  per VMM if possible .

  • Connecting multiple C4C tenants to same HCI system

    Hello Experts,
Please note that we already have a Cloud For Customer (C4C) system connected to our HCI system which is connected to our ERP system.
How can I connect another new C4C system to the same HCI system as above which connects to the same ERP backend system QEC.
Would this new C4C system use the same tenant/worker nodes or will there be a separate new one be created for this new C4C system.
Please let us know what is the best possible approach.
    Regards
    Indrasish

    Hi  Indrasish
THere are probably a couple of options.   One is to adjust HCI to send to two receivers.  We'd need to look more at how the data needs to flow.
The other is to have duplicate setup -the following is what we do for a training environment with mutliple C4C's connected to one HCI and one ERP:
    * C4C tenants have the communication system for ERP that points to HCI
    * If you will have the same iflow from the ERP to each tenant, e.g. material master from ERP to C4C tenant1, material master from ERP to C4C tenant 2 - then you need to do the following:
*** HCI import the iflow, rename the iflow and the manifest.  When you deploy you will also need a unique name. for example:  /cxf/ERP/COD/ADR3MAS03_TR99 - deploy the service with the extension
*** in ERP in the RFC destination to HCI you need to also adjust the RFC dest, for example, /cxf/ERP/COD/ADR3MAS03_TR99 so that the deployed iflow name matches.
*** the deployed iflow also has the updated URL for the related C4C tenant.
In this situation you have duplicate iflow for each C4C tenant.  The other option is to use one iflow and have two receivers, this would assume everything always goes to both tenants.
Does this make sense or is it confusing?

  • Possibility of connecting multiple BW systems to single ECC system

    Hi all,
I have a requirement in my company to connect multiple BW systems to single ECC system. Would like to confirm whether this may not be supported by all BW extractors in particular the delta mechanism?
For logistics extractor in ECC side in RSA7 it stores BW System as target which shows they support multiple BW systems as target, but for FI extractors which keeps delta timestamps in BWOM2_TIMEST table, it doesn't store the target system. I'm afraid if we connect multiple BW systems to single ECC system, some of the delta records might go to one BW system and some others go to the other BW system when we execute delta load in both BW systems.
Thank you very much in advance.
    regards,
    arie

    Hi,
You can very well connect multiple BW systems to single ECC system and you will not miss any delta as well. In the source system for each delta data source a delta queue is maintained for each target system.
for e.g. I have two BW systems ABW and BBW connected to AEC system then for 0FI_AP_4 data source we will have DQ1_ABW and DQ2_BBW as two different delta queues (I am not following any naming conventions, actual names will be as per the target system logical name).
The settings maintained in BWOM2_TIMEST table are across the system and they define some global settings e.g. till what time the FI data should be extracted in BW system, for e.g. the time maintained is 2.00 AM then though you do extraction from multiple systems same data will be extracted till next time interval occurs.
In summery you can very well connect multiple BW systems to a single ECC system.
    Regards,
    Durgesh.

  • Connecting multiple CRM systems to one backend R/3 and vice versa

    Hello experts
Can you tell me whether it is advisable to connect 2 CRM systems to a single backend R/3 and vice versa? Is it recommended by SAP? I require some notes or docs on this. I got some notes on this forum but they are all Internal ones which I am unable to see.
    Please help!
    Warm Regards
    Debolina

    Hi,
Though SAP does not recommend connecting multiple systems to one ECC backend. But still it has designed a procedure to achieve this.
Here is the excerpts of the steps required.
    1. Execute report MCRM_SETTINGS for each CRM system connected to the ERP
    system.
    2. Check the entries of the table CRMRFCPAR of the connected ERP system:
The field REM_LOGSYS should be filled for every entry marked with
    u2018Created by the MCRM reportu2019.
    3. Activate the corresponding consumers in the table CRMCONSUM
    (transaction SM30).
    4. Internal and external number ranges for Business Partners have to be aligned
    manually.
    Hope it helps you!!!!
    Good Luck.

  • Quality Center Adapter - Connecting Multiple Solution Manager Systems

We are running Solution Manager 7/Enhp 1 and Quality Center 10 successfully using the Quality Center Adapter integration. My question is, can we connect multiple Solution Manager systems (i.e. SMP/SMS/SMX) to a single Quality Center server simultaneously? Or is there a one-to-one relationship restriction. Thanks.

I have answered this question in this post below:
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2110531&messageID=10962875#10962875
    To quote myself
Each tie up is based on the logical ports at the Solution Manager end and the relationship between the two entities is between Projects. So if you set up the configuration like you would in a normal scenario and at the right moment, connect the projects in SolMans to the corresponding projects in HPQC, you should be fine.
    Hope that helps.

  • How can I connect multiple clients to a single client ?

I am currently developing an instant messaging program.I created a server and connected multiple clients to it by using thread logic. However I do not know how to connect multiple client to a single client.
What shall I do for that?Does anybody know a good tutorial or sample program?Or shall anybody explain me what I shall do for building the Instant Messaging part of my chat program?
    Thank u in advance.

You may use UDP multicast socket. But since you are using the UDP protocol you might risk losing the data that you send since UDP does not guarantee the safe transfer of data.
Alternately, you might create a server that allows multiple client to connect to it whose connection Socket objects are then stored in a Vector <Socket> object. The server then sends back data to the connected client about the other clients connected to it. Now when the client wants to send data (like an IM) to another connected client, it has to send a request to the server specifying the client login name and the server in turn streams that particular client's Address and Port to the requesting client. The requesting client then initiates the connection with the other client and then starts a conversation. One more thing, when the client communicates it needs to send information to the server like the name by which it likes to be referenced. In this scenario the server acts like a central repository for clients to query the existence of other clients in the chat room. Each client here runs a thread that listens to incoming connections and when a connection is established, may be opens a IM window or something.
The third option is to make the server to relay the information from one client to another. Like say, I'm connected to whoopy server and i want to send "Hello" to jackson, then i send the message (ie, Hello) along with the name of the client to which i wish to send it to (ie, jackson). The server then performs a lookup in its Vector <Socket> object and then initiates a connection with jackson and sends the information. However, this method is pretty costly in that you will be wasting a lot of processing behind the server.

  • Multiple LDAP servers on single  System

    hi,
Would like to know if its a good idea to have multiple LDAP servers running on a single System (Hardware) ..
    100,000 user base
We would like to run the old and new LDAP databases on the same server till we phase out the old LDAP database after migrating all applications..
    System:
    2 x V880 4CPU 8GB RAM --multi-master configuration
    4 x V420R 4CPU 8GB RAM -- read only replicas

Shouldnt be an issue - thats not a particularly large user base and thats some heft y HW. Keep in mind though that they will be on different ports so any software you migrate may eventually need tweaking to the default port when the new takes over.

  • Multiple similar sources to single destination?

I'm on Oracle 10.2.0.3 and am looking to replicate table changes being captured in multiple sources into a single destination. Let's say LCRs from source databases A and B are propagated into destination database C. In the destination, the LCRs from A and B will go into separate queues and be processed by different apply processes.
This is all good. However, is there an example or "best practice" of doing this if sources A and B are separate occurances of the same application? For example, the schema FU exists with table BAR in source A and in source B, and the BAR tables contain different data.
Obviously, you can't create two FU schemas in the destination. Also, I can't replicate both source BAR tables into a single BAR table in the destination, as it would violate primary/unique keys required by Streams (not to mention double the size of the destination BAR.)
Thanks for any ideas, and I hope I've explained this clearly enough to get a response.

I'm sorry I posted a cross-posted a question regarding Streams Replication to the "Streams" and "Replication" forums.
I thought the question was on-topic for both forums, and users who saw both postings could just ignore one of them.
    I didn't see any info about cross-posting in the [forums etiquette|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=885] , [forums FAQ|http://wiki.oracle.com/page/Oracle+Discussion+Forums+FAQ] , or [terms of use|http://www.oracle.com/html/terms.html] .

  • Is it possible to connect multiple R/3 systems to one APO system?

    Hi,
Is it possible to connect multiple R/3 systems to one APO system?
    Kind regards,
    Kris De Smedt.

    Hi Kris,
Yes, you can connect multiple R/3 systems to one APO system. All you need to do is to maintain connection parameters of all the R/3 systems with APO. (i.e. RFC Destinations, logical systems, partner profiles etc.)

  • Connecting multiple ColdFusion 10 instances to a single Apache 2.2 server

This is replicated from StackOverflow's "Server Fault" site. The CF community there is under represented, so I'm posting here too.  Sorry for "cross post".
This is on Windows 7 Home Premium edition.
I have got two ColdFusion 10 (updater 2) instances: "cfusion" (the default one), and "scratch".
I have got a single instance of Apache 2.2 running.
Within Apache, I have set up two virtual hosts, each of which needs to be served by a different ColdFusion instance.
Each of the CF instances serves files fine via Tomcat's internal web server. Apache serves vanilla HTML files fine too. So both CF instances, and both virtual hosts separately work OK.
I can get wsconfig.exe to connect either one of the CF instances to the Apache server, and serve CF files via Apache & that instance.
However I cannot find a way of connecting the second CF instance to Apache as well, so that both CF instances are conected, each serving one of the virtual hosts. WSConfig doesn't seem to understand the notion of "multiple CF instances", and the changes it makes to the httpd.conf (via mod_jk.conf) does not seem to be implemented in such a way as to accommodate multiple CF instances talking to a single Apache instance, or multiple virtual hosts. I freely admit to not being confident enough with how mod_jk (or even really httpd.conf) works to be able to guess if I can change stuff to make it work.
If I try to add the second CF instance using WSConfig, I just get a message "the web server is already configured for ColdFusion". Be that as it may... not the instance of ColdFusion I want to connect it to! If I remove the existing connector to whichever instance is already connected, I can then connect the other one no problems. Not that this helps, but it demonstrates that the CF instance can connect to Apache.
This all used to be fairly straight fwd under older versions of CF and JRun :-(
The only docs I have found are on the "Connect multiple Apache virtual hosts on a web server to a single ColdFusion server" page (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Admin/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf364104-7fd 5.html), but that specifically only deals with a single CF instance. There is no equivalent page for multiple CF instances.
I'm kinda hoping I can move some of the mod_jk config into my virtual host entries in httpd-vhosts.conf (this is how it used to work for JRun), but I've no idea what to put where.
I think I've covered all the necessary info here? If not, sing out and I'll add more. Thanks.
    Anyone?  Cheers.
    Adam

The answer to your question is Yes, a single mediator can invoke two service calls at same time as well.
First, define your service references in the composite.xml
Once you have done that, you can add any number of routing rules for each operation defined in the mediator. In your case, you will need to add two static routing rules within the same operation in the Mediator file. You can also select whether the calls will be sequential or parallel by selecting correct value in the dropdown inside the routing rule. Each routing rule will invoke one service reference in your case.

  • Possible to connect multiple R3/Systems to one XI?

    Hi,
is it possible to connect mutiple R3-Systems to one XI?
    How does it work?
    Regards
    Stefan

    Stefan,
You can certainly connect multiple R/3 systems to one XI.
    1. If your R/3 system release is 4.7 then use point 8 from the configuration guide. (RZ70 transaction collects the system data and creates a technical system in the SLD)
    2. If your R/3 system release is < 4.7 (means 46c or 46B, 40B) then you should create a technical system in the SLD.
    3. For any other SAP product with ABAP stack (including R/3 47 system), you should check the SAP_BASIS release if it is 6.20 you should apply XI Add-on to use XI Proxy adapter. For SAP_BASIS < 620 you cannot have XI Proxy adapter. For SAP_BASIS > 6.20 you do not need any add-ons (from this point onwards it is NetWeaver)
To find SAP_BASIS release -> SPAM Transaction -> Click on Package Level.
Then create a business systems for each one of them and import them into the Int. Directory when needed.
    Regards
    Shravan

  • Single .rar file for multiple data sources

Can we configure multiple data sources into single .rar file? . Currently,
we are creating a seperate .rar file to configure each datasource by
'only' modifing ra.xml file. This is proving to be a tedius operation in
some cases when the application is integrated with multiple data sources.

    Siva-
Unfortunately, no. One of the limitations of the resource adapter spec
is that it doesn't provide a means of specifying multiple separate named
configurations, so you can only have a single configuration.
If you need more flexibility, you may want to consider programatically
building up the PersistenceManagerFactory and then binding them into
    JNDI.
