I am having the same issue, anyone else ?

When I connect my iPAD to my PC it no longer automatically opens the IPAD device window to allow me to sync. It works ok for my iPOD so not sure what the problem is?.

When I connect my iPAD to my PC it no longer opens it at as device in itunes.
This has worked in the past.
I don't have problems with my old iPOD. That is recognised and syncs ok.
Also, the PC recognises the iPAD as a drive so I'm not sure why it doesn't open it in itunes... Very frustrating.

Thanks, this helped. THere was a new version of iTunes I downloaded to my PC and now the iPad is recognized.
The problem now is that I get the message that I cannot backup my iPad as my PC is not authorised, even though when I click to authorize it says my PC is already authorized.

You can sync your iPod with multiple computers, but what can be synced is very limited. See this article for more details.

Iphone/Ipad/Ipod connection issues

I have configured the above router and everything works fine apart from connecting new apple payment devices via the inbuilt AP. I can connect my windows 7 laptop and browse the network and internet but cannot connect my iphone or ipad /ipod touch, device always replies with error unable to attach.
I am using static ip address on all devices.

They do.
Standby = press the Power button
Power off = Press and hold Power button then slide the red power off slider.
Reset = Press and hold both Reset adn Home till you see the Apple logo.
This option will help to avoid pressing power button less number of times and gives better user experience.
Because it is better to not push the power button and more enjoyable to not push it?

Ipad / Ipod connection

Hi everyone,
I have the RE1000 for a week and installed it. This was just a couple of minutes so very easy (with CD)
After one day I noticed the the speed of the wireless internet on the Ipad and ipod's is much slower when the extender is on and it is looses connection very often. When I do a speed test on a laptop it is around 45Mb on he ipad it is only 6- 8Mb. When I switch the Re1000 off speed on Ipad is around 30Mb. The same is on 2 ipods. The RE1000 does work because I can use the ipad everywhere but slowly. I have a Cisco router EPC3925 and the RE1000. I fixed the channel on 1 because there are a lot of networks nearby and 1 was the best option. Yesterday I reset the RE1000 and installed it again with same result. Also the router rebooted but no solution. What could be the problem? I am not a specialist in networks and I an from Holland so pls answer not in very difficult words if possible. So in short, Laptop is OK Ipad Ipod not.

The RE1000 is meant to extend the range of an 802.11n network. While the device has the ability to extend the signal for a traditional 802.11g router, still it is not recommended. The reason for this is because the RE1000 is built to extend 2.4 Ghz 802.11n signals which use MIMO as well as other advanced technologies, if attempting to extend a G network you will not achieve the desired performance because it is not optimized to extend standard 802.11G signals.
Remember that the RE1000 will only extend the 2.4Ghz frequency. Meaning that if you have a router that is dual band you can only use an extender on the 2.4Ghz channel. The 5 Ghz channel does not currently have an Extender available for it. Since some dual band routers have the ability to select which frequency you want activated. Always make sure 2.4 Ghz is enabled if you are having troubles configuring.
So first of all check the wireless settings on the router to get the optimized wireless signal from the router:
# Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page.
# Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your routers main/ basic setup page)
# Make the Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
After doing the following settings configure the Range Extender. There are four (4) wireless settings that you need to identify on your router or access point before setting up your RE1000.
•    Wireless network name (SSID)
•    Wireless channel
•    Wireless security mode (WPA/WPA2 Personal or WEP)
•    Network key or passphrase

TS3540 How to fix iTunes 11.0.4 (62) problem of won't connect or recognize iOS devices iPhones, iPads, iPod

It appears that there is a flaw in the Apple iTunes 11.0.4 (62) installer related to mobile devices and the USB port. The below fixed the problem for me.
The symptom was iTunes 11.0.4 (62) was not connecting to my son's iPodTouch 1st Generation. Many other iPad, iPods and iPhones are reporting having this problem on many different computers both Mac and Windows. >56,000 on Apple discussion forums.
The iPodTouch was recognized by the computer and would charge but iTunes would not recognize the iPodTouch.
All of our family's other iOS devices worked fine.
The problem is not the computer, the cabel, the OS or the device.
Apple's suggestions in various tech docs did not solve the problem in and of themselves. I had to go back down to the previous version to force the current version to reinstall properly:
Deleting iTunes 11.0.4 (62) and reinstalling did not solve the problem.
Deleting iTunes 11.0.4 (62) and installing iTunes 10.7 made Will's iPodTouch connect fine but then there were other problems.
Deleting iTunes 11.0.4 (62) and installing iTunes 10.7 and deleting iTunes 10.7 and reinstalling 11.0.4 (62) solved all problems.
To Reinstall iTunes: (from Apple docs)
Quit iTunes
Delete:
/Applications/iTunes
/System/Library/Extensions/AppleMobileDevice.kext
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileDevice.framework
/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.usbmuxd.plist~orig
but do not delete com.apple.usbmuxd.plist
Restart
Reinstall iTunes version desired
Open iTunes to test and make sure iOS devices connect
Restart
Open iTunes to test and make sure iOS devices connect

Have already taken the necessary steps but to no avail. I would like to take this oppurtunity to inquire from Iphone 5 users if they experienced the same..the gadget is very slow in picking up WIFI signal unlike the Ipad/Ipod units.. If this is the case then its a big draw back for Iphone 5..it's also draining its battery fast.

Its not a problem with the driver becasue the computer can see the devices, so its a problem in itunes.

ITunes crashes as soon as I connect iPhone, Ipad or Ipod Touch

I have submitted this question before, but despite all kind of attempt, my iTunes (latest version) crashes as soon as I connect with a cable
- iPhone 5 (iOS 8.0)
- iPad
- iPod touch
It does NOT crush when I connect my Ipod Classic.
What I mean with crush: as soon as I insert the cable in the USB port, the name of the divice appears, it then looks as if is synching but after a couple of second the "spinning wheel" blocks and then there is no other way than forcing quit.
It is not the cable, because all devices can be used with iPhoto with the same cable.
I have reinstalled OS X
I have rebooted the iPhone
all the devices work normally on my old mac (which doesn't have OS X) and on PC.
Windows Parallel is installed on my macbook pro. Could this be the problem?
It seems that despite all recent updates, there is no solution to this.
Anybody with the same problem?
Any idea about how to solve it?
